i know i'll get the opposite answer but i published this thread because i wanted to ask the note users if the phone runs massive games like Modern Combat 3 well or its stuck in a bit?because in youtube its look like the games dosent run very well...
Anyone???
Please help me to decide!!!
I myself am a no gamer but had to instal this game just to check it out if it works and man what a game it took over 1.3 GB of space. But I am happy to say that it works great no hang ups no nothing very smooth, however my Note started heating up just after 20 minutes of playing, but not unbearable.
Hope this helps.
MC3 runs fine and fluid on the note.
I tested nearly every major game and never experienced a lag so far.

Spiderman

Anyone with a nexus 7 install the Spider-man game?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mdhbWVsb2Z0LmFuZHJvaWQuQU5NUC5HbG9mdEFNSE0iXQ..
wondering if it might be worth $7 of my $25 credit....
That is a good question.... Good news is that the game is optimized for Tegra 3, so it should hopefully work. You never know with Gameloft though.
I have it on both my iPad and my One X and can confidently say that it is a complete turd of a game. It was very obviously rushed just to capitalize on the release of the movie.

Thanks for the info..

Two good rules of thumb:
Never buy a game based on a movie
Especially never go to a movie based on a game
FCs a lot on My Nexus 7 and iPad. Not worth it. I saw lots of problems with the market so i got the apk and tried it and it was complete crap
im dying to play the dark knight rises game...yes its a movie game i know

Spiderman for the consoles is different, besides the Amazing Spiderman.
Spiderman runs great on my Galaxy S3. No issues at all. Game is not all that bad. I kinda like it but after some time it feel kinda of repetitive which is true with any spiderman game. I still like the game though but 6.99 is actually a bit steep.
Not big fan of spider man games on any device.

Whoa whoa whoa. Spiderman 2 the game was FANTASTIC.
Amazing Spider-Man for smartphones is meh, but it's actually a pretty decent game on consoles surprisingly.

YES! That game had me glued to my couch for days.
I totally disagree with the people who hate the game. I think it excellent. Especially the swinging mechanic. Not console quality by any stretch of the imagination but I think its a great game

I installed it and it runs good but the game isn't worth $7 IMO
I bought it on my G-Note, and wasn't impressed. Every mission was pretty much the same. Swing around, find group of thugs, beat up group of thugs, repeat. Maybe things get a little more varied as the game progresses, but 5 or 6 missions that were pretty the same was enough for me. I didn't think it was worth the over 1gb of space it takes up.

I'm getting one

Tomorrow I'll be getting a nexus 4, was just wondering a few things. How well does it handle emulators, like Ps1 and n64. On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to root/flash with this phone. Yes opinions can be googled but I'll be using links and guides from these threads. I want your opinion. Oh and if you steam your pc to your phone please let me know about your experiences.
Is there a lot of bloat wear

PSX4Droid works great, playing FF7. Gets kind of hot and rips the battery... but it did that on my last phone too, think it's simply the emulator and game. It's a nexus, rooting is stupid easy. Flashing is the same as every other rooted phone. I like twrp recovery best. find the touch screens very user friendly.
my advice based on my opinion... GET A CASE!!!!!! the back of this thing is easily scratched and if you're like me and like to keep your phones nice and crisp so they last a long time and fetch top dollar when sold in the future, get a full body case and screen guard

How long is the final fantasy 3 demo

I have played it a while and it hasn't asked to purchase.

For me, it let me go find a Mythril Ring, defeat the Djinn, go oggle at the Crystal a second time and then it wanted me to pay right after I stepped on the glowing platform of wonder in the Crystal room.
Thanks the monsters are to tough for me in the djinn cave not sure what to do.

FFIII is a classic JRPG, you'll need to spend time leveling up. IMO the best place to do this is in the left tower of the castle. Also make sure you get the sword on the top before going after the Djinn. For the boss in the tower, make sure to equip the sword while in battle or it's an extremely hard fight that early. The benefits will be great, though.
The reason I suggest this area to level up over the djinn cave is because there is a bed close by to sleep in. Just remember to exit the castle and save every so often.
Oh how I love the old RPG's!
Thanks I know there hard I never liked them as a kid.

I had most of my characters double up on their weapons (knife + dagger/dagger+ + dagger/longsword + dagger combos), that helped. As did wandering around out in the field for a while playing with the Trolls
Also worth doing is battling up to the top floor of the castle's West tower to get the sword up there, as it adds an extra hit to your attack.
I'm considering a purchase, anyone know how many hours of play roughly the full version has?
Since it took me 2 hours to beat the demo a lot.

The game takes between 40 and 60 hours to beat depending on what you do, how good you are at this type of game, and how "complete" you want it to be. There is a good amount of extra content that doesn't need to be completed to beat the game, but this game does require a good amount of grinding. Only a truly hardcore JRPG fan would probably beat it in 40 hours!
Final Fantasy 3 is a super long game. I'm seeing quick plays of about 60+ hours. About 100+ hours if you explore everything and do the side quests. It was originally on the SNES as a full fledged game, then remastered on the Nintendo DS with 3D characters, then released for mobile with touch controls.
That pretty much seals the deal for me then, I love JRPGs. Took me months to beat FF7 because I was insistent on checking out everything, collecting all the items/Materia etc. Currently playing back through it on PS3 as well, found it dirt cheap in the PSN store a while back. I do own a SNES but for some reason just can't get into 8/16Bit RPGs. To a certain extent I like my RPGs to be a bit of a graphics fest as well as an epic story.
Does the storyline of FF3 get any darker/more adult oriented at some point though? I find it all a bit happy-nicey kid friendly at the moment, and the things I liked most about 7 and 8 was that there were some real dark moments and intriguing plot twists in them.

It's been years since I played 3, and it was the original, but no I don't think it gets much darker or in depth. It was done at a time when RPG's were still rather new. I think FFIV was the first to have a dark story with intriguing plot twists. which hopefully will be heading to the OUYA as well, but FFIII is worth the playthrough either way. I'm really looking forward to it since it has been so many years!
All I'm saying is final fantasy 7 fpse
FF3 does get pretty deep though. There is the normal world, then the dark world. All of the FF games get pretty heavy, some more then others but still good none-the-less.
I like the sprite SNES versions, personally. While the 3D versions are cool, they retain a child-like feel that is off-putting for me. The old Sprites, to me, made me feel they were older.

What are some good games for Note 3?

Just picked up my Note 3 today here in Australia - loving it so far.
I have never been a big gamer on a smartphone but this screen is so nice I feel I should try some games on the Note 3
What are some good suggestions people might have?
Tks

start with real racing 3
Plague is a little gory, but a real rendition of how a virus/bacteria could take over the world.
And if you play Golf, Golfstar is the best golf game on Android.

Oh, and don't forget to get an awesome controller! For those unaware, Moga is coming out with newer generation controllers in a few weeks, check here to see them http://store.mogaanywhere.com/Main/Default
I found that the TouchArcade.com forums are pretty exhaustive in terms of game info, just look for the ones that are a universal or android app.

Plays all GBC games.
i play mostly minion rush and samurai versus zombies 2 hahahaha.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Middle Manager of Justice and Tiny Thief. I'm also a big fan of Minion Rush but be warned they will try to get money out of you at every turn but I guess that is the nature of F2P mobile games. I would just much rather pay 6.99 then to have ads and cash shop items pushed in my face at every turn.
Real racing 3 looks the best on the note 3's screen. But be prepared to spend a fortune on the game in stupid in app purchases to get anywhere, repair or car or order a new car. Same with Fifia 14 good game (No ref?! on the pitch Wtf is with that) and ingame purchases to play the teams you want too.
Clash of clans
This is the only game im playing on my note 2 right now. Soon When i get my note 3.
