I am new to android and have only had my s4 for about 3 weeks.
I rooted my phone with cf auto root and tried out different roms for the past 2 weeks, i mainly used Omega & echoe rom and i was using Omega at the time i experienced problems, basically my phone freezes when i call people and the screen goes black, the phone lags for a good 5-10 seconds when im unlocking the phone with a swipe & no sound comes out my s4 at all. I have tried to wipe the phone and format everything including my data & i installed Foxhound 3.1 and the problems still exist? if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it.
P.S I heard flashing the stock 4.3 rom might do the trick but i cant download from hotfile for some reason so if anyone has a torrent please link me it! thanks in advance!!

Hi, i have the same problem, so sound at all, and also no signal!
I have baseband MJ5 and Built number MJ9 (using omega v15 now)
I've tried the wifi fix you posted but no luck
Here is a more detailed description of my problem!
I have no sound at all coming from the device, I've read most threads that say no sound on the heading for I9505 and for many people flashing I9505XXUDMH8_I9505OXXDMHA_I9505XXUDMH8_HOME.tar resolved the problem but not in my case.
Last night I tried flashing I9505XXUEMI8_I9505OXAEMI8_I9505XXUEMI8 and after I changed the kernel I got some sound when turning the volume up and down but the phone was running very slow.
Today I tried flashing Omega rom v15 flashing the right modem for the new bootloader before flashing the zip and no sound, I tried changing the kernel, still nothing.
So now I'm in build number XXUEMJ9 and baseband MJ5.
I've also tried flashing stock with a pit file but didn't make a difference!

Hi everyone!
This problem showed up after I flashed WanamLite 4.4.2 XXUFNA5 rom. I don't have sound nor wifi and the dialer is always hanging so no calls. I came from Wanamlite 4.2.2 XXUBMGA rom, which worked great before this kitkat upgrade. I've tried different modems, i've tried different roms (4.4.2) and it's always the same, except wifi was working on one rom, but no sound or calls.
I tried to flash the WanamLite 4.2.2 rom back, but there was no sound either and the dialer was hanging on this rom too. I've also tried to flash the stock rom with odin (4.2.2 XXUBMGA) and it always fails to aboot.mbn, and the phone says SW REV. CHECK FAIL: FUSED: 4, BINARY: 1. I've read about that once you go Kitkat, there's no going back because of the bootloader... ok I would accept that, if I would get everything working as intended. This is my first Android phone so i'm quite new with this, but i've "played" with computers since i was 9.
I will appreciate your help.

I have an s4 from rogers (Canadian model) and initially had cyanogen mod as my rom but I realized that I was missing nearly 5 GB of storage on my phone. I read that to fix this I had to go back to stock using Odin. I went back to stock 4.2.2 using Odin, but then my WiFi stopped working. I couldn't turn WiFi on or search for networks. I then rooted my phone and installed a rom and my WiFi problem was fixed, but now I cant make calls. Every time I try to call someone my screen goes black and the recipient cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. Also, the sound on my phone does not work. I have flashed multiple roms and still get the same problem. Does anyone know any possible solution. I have looked around and many people have had the same problem, but no solution. Any help would be appreciated.
It's because you flashed an old rom (4.2.2) on a newer bootloader. That doesn't work. Flash the latest rom available for you phone.

I have flashed multiple roms and most of them were the latest ones (4.4.4). This still did not fix the problem. Is this what you mean?

I'm sorry, I gave some wrong advice.
It's probably because you are on the old bootloader but you are using a new modem. That's the cause for the problems on our s4. You have a different s4 and there is a different section for your device.
You have to be in this section:

i just put the a custom rom for the first time and i am actually really happy with this rom.
My friend called me 1h ago, so i noticed that i am hearing my friend fine, but the problem is that he cant hear me.
I tested it with the audio capture and it just sound messy.
Here are all the information:
Omega v33 - XXUGNF1
Android Version 4.4.2
Modellnummer: GT-19505 Black Edition
Basisbandversion I9505XXUGNF1
Kernel:3.4.0-talexop-2+-gb4fe160-dirty

I just tried it with the 3.4.0-Adam-2.3, but it is not working, too.
Did i install something wrong?

Hi ,
That problem most of the times is modem related , go Omega files /modem flash the same one again or upgrade it to the newest , follow instructions to do it
As shown in OP of Omega V33
Installation:
1. Backup your device (nadroid backup, titanium backup, efs backup ... etc) and save the backup to a safe place.
2. Flash the new bootloder and modems with odin
Bootloader -> BL_I9505XXUFNAD_481100_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_C ERT.tar.md5
If you already have the new Kit Kat bootloader there is no need to flash it again.
Modems XXUFNC9 -> I9505XXUFNC9_GSM_LTE_Modems.tar
Power off device completely, then boot to download mode and flash bootloader (if needed) and modems with odin
Then boot to android and check if the new modem XXUFNC9 flashed ok (if wifi is not working is normal)
3. Boot to Recovery --recommended TWRP, get the latest version from here -> http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/182--
and flash Omega and then boot to android.
You can flash without full wipe if you are coming from a previous Omega Kit Kat version, if not then flash with full wipe
PLEASE FOLLOW THE EASY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ELSE YOU WILL HAVE VARIOUS ISSUES!
BACKUP FIRST !!
I flashed the LTE_Modem_I9595XXUGNF1 again, but it is still the same problem.
Can i test an older one without any problems, or do you know anything else to solve my problem?

You can try with an older one if you wish and see if it helps , did you flash the GSM modem also?

Yes i installed both. I will try some of the LTE/GSM modems now.
I still have the microphone issue.
I Updated the baseband (GSM+LTE) to the newest I9505XXUGNF1, but i cant fix this microphone problem. It sounds like it is raining or something like the television where u cant get a programm.
I searched now about 5hours, but this is something i cant get fixed.
Please anyone here who can help with this issue?

Here is a list of things which I have done to resolve the issue but nothing seems to work so far:
1. Rebooting the phone
2. Rebooting by pulling the battery and simcard out and putting them again.
3. Factory Resetting the phone and wiping all data.
4. Delete all files KNOX
My phone is rooted. My soft is I9505XXUGNK4 4.4.2 Germania DBT

Immediately after root. But not always do so. It has moments when you do not!

I had same problem like you and I own a DBT i9505 with latest firmware NK4 too. Reflash STOCK rom NK4 and it's all :highfive:

Hello everyone - does anyone else know a workaround for DATA/LTE not working when I flash a custom rom? I have a Samsung N910F Note 4 on a T-Mobile network (Poland) and stock or rooted it works fine, but when I flash anything, and ive tried a lot, any kind of port - the data always has an issue. either not workign at all, very very very very slow, or works for 5 minutes then cuts out and I need to reboot.
Ive tried the aurora datafix: aurora_N7_datafix_N910F_alpha5
the only option I have to try still is flashing Racerom with BL and CP - but I have serioius doubts as ive tried every other port out there, new and old.
any help would be much appreciated, and thanks for reading.
