Exynos4 HWcomposer - Omni Q&A

Just wondering if any dev have been working on the HWcomposer (exynos 4) if i'm not mistaken https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/ESDB-1
and if so could we get a updated status ?
hopefully i'm not offending anyone by asking this.

Good news

Cyanogenmod:
Revert "Removed Vibrant from list of CyanogenMod devices"
Emergency call is fixed and we have a new maintainer now.
Anyone know who the new maintainer is?
"Mute" bug is fixed, and I have a feeling that was a symptom of the 911 issue.

Mute bug isn't part of the 911 issue (except maybe that fixing E911 coulda brought the mute bug back). The E911 issue was fixed back in January.
I was so happy when I saw this, I will do some snooping to find out who the new maintainer is but this is great news

That would make sense, though there are a lot of Daniel Bateman's out there so its tough to figure out who he is on XDA though I want him to know his work is greatly appreciated

I realized it was you quickly but after I saw that you responded without answering the question I figured I would just keep that information to myself
go to cyans github, go to the vibrant, see who made recent commits ect.

I'm not. I'm actually a relative noob to Android rom programming. Pawitp and others from teamhacksung have been a good help.
The changes by Pawitp readding vibrant just got approved.

New nightly (229) is up. I guess that makes it official.
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=vibrantmtd
Read the build prop , it's 2.3.7 nightly #229
But whose complaining! Great we're back up in good graces!

What did you expect? There are Jo official cm9 builds yet for many phone, as the main cm9 code base hasn't been marked official.

Is there a device specific change log for the Vibrant still? I was curious to see if anything besides "removed/revert removed" was changed from #182 to #229.

I have a Telus SGH-959D, was looking at the Passion or ICSSGS ROMs, but now I might wait for CM9 .
Too bad Samsung just decided to cop out and use their freaking Touchwiz as an excuse to do so, I want my ice cream dammit!

Will we ever get full hardware acceleration on ics?

Ehi guys, Will we ever get hardware acceleration on our phones?
What do you think?
Well they've got it over on the nexus one now for the most part, and it's got the same adreno 200 so hopefully!

Yes we will. It will take time and a lot of patience on our behalves.
Now that texasice has backported/written the necessary drivers for our hardware to the Nexus One's 2.6.38 kernel, it makes things easier. But the only kernels available for the HD2 atm are 2.6.32 or 2.6.35-based.
So I guess what will happen now is the 2.6.38 kernel will now be ported (or once it is 100% working - not 80%-90% as texasice states in the N1 thread) for the HD2.
Check it out here.
Cheers,
Evil.

Haha ummmm, I wouldn't know as I am definitely not a Dev. From what I've heard and read it is a tough process, and can take some time. Tytung I think has been working with Texasice, so hopefully by the end of Feb, but who knows, I'm just answering question from the knowledge that I have acquired.
Cheers,
Evil.

Samsung Galaxy s 5 G900F

Hi guys. Please help me. I search MIUI rom for my Samsung Galaxy S5.
There is no MIUI for S5, case closed for now....
I'm hoping someone will build one soon. We have cm11 fully working, I hope miui comes down the pipeline soon.

CM fully working? Not yet, issues like touchscreen, NFC ,A-GPS and calling volume still have to be tackled. But the devs are doing a great job so far

Yeah, I'm not having any of those issues. My NFC,GPS, and touchscreen having been working flawlessly. Oh, and my call volume is better than what it was on TouchWiz. I have no idea why you're having those issues dude, but my device is working awesomely.

I asked Matt and he said if they got a device they'd support it so I don't think they have one unfortunately.
Still nothing stopping a talented developer to make an unofficial one since all th code is now out.
