dr.ketan - thank you! - Galaxy Note II General

I started this thread out of respect, appreciation, admiration & concern for this guy.
I’ve owned N2 for several months. Back then I read many threads – how to root, backup EFS, other stuff you need to know for flashing our device. Next I moved on to mods, ROMs, tweaks. All the time I saw DrKetan threads everywhere – then slowly became aware of his high activity level. I don't need to go on about the his leaked ROM efforts do I?
I thought ‘doctor’ was a name he chose for fun. Because he was like a doctor for our N2. Then recently found out he IS a doctor. Holy sh** I thought - Yes lots of us have important jobs, demanding jobs, me included. But most of us DON’T contribute to N2 forum NEAR AS MUCH as he does.
So that’s why I made this thread. There is so much community appreciation for him, it’s evident in all his threads. In fact we love him so much that our own thanks dr.ketan! posts clutter up his development threads making it hard to find information
Hoping we can
a) Somehow convey to him our appreciation, at a base and genuine level, for his work. All we can offer are words I guess, though I notice he has Donate button. Maybe we can buy him something useful, like a second N2 in case he bricks his??
b) Draw his attention to the fact he seems to sleep like 3 hours a night and THAT’S NOT HEALTHY, doctor! LOL he should know better
Umm if this thread is seen as lame and I get blasted for making it, so be it, but as a former newb: thanks drketan !!

Hey I appreciate the thanks fellas, but really hope to get your posts here.
--> Who has a dr.ketan story worth telling? Yes I know that 75% of us benefitted from his advice at some point, for example his Backup EFS thread prevented lots of us ending up with unusable phones but ... what about the time your child was lost in a snowstorm, the whole town was looking when suddenly dr.ketan knocked on your door with child in his arms??
Yes I know that's a silly joke but c'mon guys, we also like threads that aren't about mods or ROMs so ... let it rip - pay homage to the hardest working dude on this forum.

Heartfelt Thanks
He is very nice and very friendly.. He is always dedicated in his Profession as well as to Android development. He helped me, Guided me many times when i was using Note 1 and Now on Note 2. He is very passionate towards android . Unlike others he never ask for Hit thanks If i Helped . Respects and thanks come from our hearts. He is giving his valuable time for us. I wondered many times that how he can be this much passionate .. (Sorry for my bad English )
Heartfelt Thanks Ketan Bhai

I totally recognise and Appreciate what you have done for us Doctor..

Wait, joshphilips, that sounds like a speech you give at someone's funeral
Thanks for your words, mate.

dr.ketan is amazing man.....:good::good::good::good::good::good:
sorry for my bad english...

Guys you are awesome, And apart from i am running out of thanks today also I don't have words to thank you.
But
I feel this kind of thread is against XDA rule and before someone have to report I am doing it mysef right now.
Kindly don't consider this as insulting but we all are bound to follow rules
And again thank you very much for love you always showers on me.
Regards All.

Ketan, I didn't realise this kind of thread is against rules & it's appropriate I follow those rules. Whatever happens, happens. That xda video that all new members must watch ... I guess I missed something.
Was hoping, as more people became aware of the thread, we'd put our thoughts together how to convince you to get some proper sleep
Cheers

Even is against the xda rules ,
I want to thank you for all your effort and time you give to us .
you are a real men and a model.

Not against the rules per say... but if we had an appreciation thread for every good developer, the forums would be a huge mess (well, ok, messier than they currently are)
Closed :good:

Xda turning dictatorship

This thread is most likley going to be closed in true china style.
But i still gonna try explaining my opinion on the way xda has developed lately.
The attitude from some of the devs is soo out of line, that on anyother site they would be getting atleast warnings. And the mods keeps licking the "emperors" butts.Im asking for some mods with some balls to step in and put down the foot.i have seen one of our most famous dev turning from a gentle and really tolerant person to a diva with some seriously bad attitude against members.even though i can understand that it can be quite annoying answering same stupid questions over and over again, theres no need in turning into an "as$hole".

Go spend 100+ hours developing, hacking, and reverse engineering FOR NO MONEY and then post it here and have people that don't even bother to read a few pages complain about your attitude.
Get real dude, they get annoyed with stupid questions by lazy/new users in their development threads. Remember, XDA is a forum dedicated to DEVELOPMENT of open source projects. Users shouldent expect support from developers and devs should never be obliged to provide it unless users are paying money for the product.

ive been a member for some time
after signing up
i saw the XDA "video" which tough me stuff on proper "etiquette"
then i read the forum rules
after following these rules i have never had a problem with the people or the devs
if u don't follow the rules you should only blame your self
its free your not paying for it you should at least have some common courtesy
good day sir
If you're talking about codeworkx, in my opinion he isn't a bad guy at all. Despite the fact that he spends hours and hours developing and people pay no attention to big bold letters, ask the same ****ing questions, don't read, have no initiative, and constantly whine, he STILL RESPONDS to people regularly. Go ahead, say I'm ass kissing I don't care. Doesn't deserve the **** he gets.
I kinda agree with OP a little bit on some dev's attitude, but it's not that bad, and I also understand them. Yes, they may have a bit more "freedom" on the forum, but considering the amount of their contribution, I think it's totally justified.
There's a simple solution to this. Read. Then read some more. Then read a bit more still. If you still can't find what you're looking for, ask questions. But make sure you provide a bit of background to the question you're asking. Show you've made some sort of effort (most important) to learn/find the answer to your question on your own.
I have never seen a dev or an experienced member bag out/abuse a n00b when these simple steps have been followed. I have seen other newer members do so tho.
If anyone on this site isn't prepared to follow the steps in my first paragraph, they deserve whatever happens as a result of any posts made not following these steps IMHO. And frankly, they don't belong on a site like this & should stick to stock.
As several people have already pointed out in this thread (and others), devs owe XDA members absolutely nothing we should be eternally grateful that they do what they do and they provide fantastic roms/kernels/apps & themes either completely free of charge or for completely insignificant amounts of money (in the case of apps, or if you choose to donate to a dev).
Devs are also humans, if people piss them off repeatedly with dumb and already answered questions without reading, they have the right to react!!
My 2 cents...
While I appreciate the time and effort the devs put, the arrogance some have is uncalled for. They act like they are God's sent Prophets, the only ones gifted with the power of modifying the code of the forbidden. Asking for appreciation and credit (which is well deserved) is one thing, riding the high horse and pissing on the rest is another.
Op hasnt replied... wwll thats what u call attention seeking lol. I agree with everyones comments . On a lighter note... have a happy new year
looks like an iphone but powered by android baby!!!!
i prefer not to get involved in these type of threads
but to be frank am surprised that the devs haven't stopped developing yet........
it's not the quality of xda-dev's that have gone down over time,
for me its the non-dev community thats going downhill.
i myself fall in the non-dev category but sad to say in certain cases i have actually seen 5-10 post-old users bad-mouthing and criticizing devs who have given their time, knowledge and efforts to the community over the years and asked nothing in return except for voluntary donations.
xda isn't turning into a dictatorship its just democracy gone bad.
I can't tell if most of you are really stupid/young or English is a second language for 75% of XDA. Sometimes its so damn hard to just read and understand some users comments. Does no one use a browser with integrated English spell correction?

What?! Don't be so stupid! The devs here don't work for you or xda. What makes you think that they should provide you with 24h support on their work for free?
I'm guessing your just a kid by the attitude.
Maybe developers will start being nicer when the users start behaving less like animals and more like human beings.
This has all been said before and I am sure will again, "users" have to remember this is a free service, you can make no demands of it or complain when things done quite go you way, XDA is not a democracy it is a dictatorship.
I am afraid we are doing to have to live with this, for me, the benefits far far out way those issues highlighted by the OP.
Solution: - Just rise above the crap, ignore it, none of it really matters. Take what help you need from the forums but also try to give back as much as you can, you wont go far wrong.

Sure. And your reply is very mature I guess? He expresses his feelings, in a rather normal fashion. But no, immediately the fanboy-crowd jumps on it. Well, point proven I guess. Every forum is filled with ignorant n00bs.
The dumb questions being repeated , is way more annoying and problematic in these threads.
I'd also have to say if a talented Dev is a little bit of a prima donna , then good luck to them. It makes got a great read as well.
As for the earlier comment about bad English spelling, i'm sure a small part of that is due to Swype
I have a huge amount of experience in Android and xda dev history, I even made two roms for the hd2.
I got a new sgs2 two days ago, common sense dictates I do not flash anything of here until I have done all my research. I know about the flash counter and the usb jig. I know about the efs partition aswell, and how to backup and restore it.
Two days of light reading and some research is all it takes, and you won't be asking stupid questions or making mistakes and screaming for help like some poor noobs do.
It's that easy. RTFM and Backup Backup Backup.

Im at work,so aint following the tread all the time. But to answer some of your questions,im not demanding anything from the devs.Dont think majority of us do,but then there is people that do,and i can understand it becomes annoying for the devs at times. But why not just ignore those, instead of spreading bad attitude replyes? Is that to much to ask for? Some of you thinks that the Devs are godsendt and we should stand on our knees to not piss them of so they dont produce anymore roms for our beloved phones.Maybe im abit to harsh on the devs, but there are millions of threads and replys complaining and flaming the n00bs,no need for another is there?
Lighten up guys!Keep XDA a forum that you enjoy.
AND kudos to all devs for their hard work,i mean no harm !
have to agree with OP

Hopefully the "team" (there's more than one man) are working on something good to come back with. I can completely understand why they closed it because the amount of lazy ass people that post in there looking for general support was a joke. They're nice people but there's a limit which has obviously been reached. We have a general section for general chit chat but people again are too lazy to use multiple fora to get what they require. Unfortunately the "user" will eventually ruin the "dev" focus of these forums.
In my opinion there should be a 100 post rule before you can even post in the developer forums. This would force the noobs top read the forums.

100% agreed. I'm sure it's been suggested before but always worth posting it in the support and feedback forum, go on you know you want to
Only backlash this would have is 100 posts elsewhere to get sufficient posts for them to plague the dev forums as they do now with the 10. It would possibly deter them though, anything's worth a try.

Hi,
you should not lump together all newbies.
There are also the other one's, which read a lot and learn by doing.
Although I'm new to Android at all, I try to help where I can (it's not much..) and you won't find nooby questions. Because all one want to know is somewhere anwered here.
Maybe Dev's should set up 2 threads, one for Q&A with a faq at beginning, supported mostly by the "key users", and one only for dev-related matters (no answers to silly questions...)
Only my opinion of course...
Regards
Norbert
100 post rule is bull, ya no why because they will just make new threads and ask the dumb ass questions.
I'm not a noob either i been here abour 5 years and watch this place go down hill so fast over the past year. I used to spend hours in the Leo section answering posts as demon man and got fed up of it. It isnt just the new people pissing devs off its the mods also there part to blame with there lame ideas, most of them just jump on there high horse. yes I can totally understand why devs just give up but then you have the likes of codeworkx who will tell you you will get abuse if you ask stupid dumb ass questions and abuse he will give, yet the stupid questions are still asked.
It doesnt take 10 mins to find 90% of your answers on here although the search button is a load of gash imo stickies are the best answer of read a few pages back but nobody seems to wanna do that anymore, hell the day i got my leo and touch diamond i nearly fudged them for not reading but after half hour of reading and looking you can find your answer the best bet would be that new topics have to be moderated first instead of the same question all the time go through and see how many posts there have been in the past 2 weeks about people screwing there efs folder that should be a stickie imo in bold.
I've been using xda for several years. I never post anything as the answer always seem to be available already posted my someone else.
Recently XDA has been an increasingly unpleasant place to visit. People seem to be unable to read more than the last 2 threads, have any sense of how to be even slightly polite and have no concept of the hard work an generosity of those developing and sharing. If i was a dev i'd have taken my bat and ball home ages ago.
I'll go back to reading, and tinkering with my phone.
1 post nearer 100
Many thanks to all those who give so much. Especially Pongster and his team.
Xda was awesome back in the windows mobile days Devs and noobs were very humble, civil helpful. There was no competition among devs and everyone used to work together.
Since android has come in this place has pretty much gone downhill. It is all about fame, donations now.
No offence, just a general observation.
Cheers.

2 threads seems good to me. .
looks like an iphone but powered by android baby!!!!
Extropy has hit the nail on the head. I couldn't agree more.
Lets hope something changes, It's no fault of Xda, it's just that over the last year Androids popularity has exploded, and thus the number of newcomers and freeloaders.
BUT what angers me is that for every so called "Annoying noob post" in the threads there are 10X responses from established members that are much more aggressive and rude in tone in comparison. I feel its quicker to help someone and guide them In a constructive way. It's annoying sure, but saves comeback questions, heated exchanges and tempers blowing up.
Something needs to change, but its going to be a tough one.
One things for sure, I've seen many Good devs leave, soon there will be threads with a lot more Kangs then there already are.
I hope this gets sorted.
Cheers guys

I disagree. Donations are fine in my opinion. I mean its hours spent trying to create something that everyone and yourself will like and share it for free. So a lil donation never hurts . With rom competition dont really see it tbh... i just think stealing some1 elses work is a piss take.

i do agree with what you are saying with the donations.. in an ideal world.
xda can always do this as an experiment.
see who remains when no donations are allowed.
pretty sure the kangs will stop rather quickly
as for the rule of 100 posts, its pretty easy to rack up, especially if they treat xda like twitter.
a combination of both number of years and post rule, with years taking precedence.
for ppl to post in dev threads anyway.
Sorry but I'm starting to get mixed feelings here. I've always been on their side and understand that they can get fed up. But it's as if being a noob is not permitted in their thread. No disrespect but they are coming across as elitist.
As for the devs that use their work without all due credit they are destroying xda spirit.
As far as I remember, from the WinMo days, it was the same old BS, just on a smaller scale, less devices, less forums, less posters, so it was all a more manageable talk for the mods/admind/etc to keep on top of.
I will be really sad if hyperdroid doesnt come back, I only really finished moving there from VR (Base got a bit old) and I dont want to have to find another rom, there all seem to be to themed rather than stable bases with the useful mods built in.
being a newbie is fine. We all start there.
bear in mind, n00b has a different meaning to what you are referring to here.
What differentiates newbies that are humble and n00bs are as below:
being a trolling n00b calling devs idiots, or demanding devs to give them exactly what they want, a n00b that can't read/search, a n00b that somehow thinks he knows best, a n00b that advices others to do weird/ridculous things to their phones, it can be pretty tiring.

this is also my impression. i liked hyperdroid since HD2. excellent work. top job.
hyperdroid was the main reason to buy an SGS2.
But in a thread beginning with:
"Goals of the ROM: Fast. Functional. Solid.
We want the ROM to be fully customizable by the most important person--- YOU, the user. We believe its your choice how you theme the device and that a ROM shouldn't just be themed creations based off another ROM."
Again: The most important person--- YOU, the user.
I think this should be a thread also for users. not only for devs. Did I get this wrong? ok, there where posts with awful context. but lump all users together?
one example of what i really don't understand: they say, the do their job primary for themselves. ok. but do the dev's need a OTA-Tool for themselves?
Users are the most important persons - and then they kick them out. This is a contradiction in my opinion.
i am very sad about this...
This was pongster's thread, his decision. I wish the guys the best for the future! So bye, bye hyperdroid ...

I agree. But just read Pongster last post. He's got reasons to be angry but sounds a bit smug to me.
I never demanded anything or complained and moved to hyperdroid because the sounded committed while knowing what they talk about. I mean real development. But reading between the lines if you don't know how to use adb then you don't have the requested level. And you shouldn't report bugs.
So basically because of that + some disrespectful comments + stolen work they might stop sharing all along.
Well, it's their work, they don't owe us anything and it's only fair enough.
Life goes on and I won't beg them. If they come back then fine and I'd be pleased. However, even if I end up using their rom again, I won't post anything or ask help from them at all.
Edit: one more thing. Posting on their thread doesn't necessarily mean that you are requesting help from them. You ask help from those who use the same rom and may have encountered the same issue. Most of the time users help each other and that's the best way of learning.

Thanks thread and note to developers and also to some idiots

Hello
I thought of creating thread because I didn't find any thread like this in this'd forum
And in my experience a lot of developers have left development or xda due to the misbehaving of one idiot
Recently. One of my favorite developers removed his work from XDA
1) consider this as a thank thread I know a lot of developers as well as xda members have helped you out do a million things on your handheld and have made your phone worthwhile
And I also know that there is the thank button for it in every forum
But sometimes thanks just isn't enough
Sometimes the feeling is like telling them
Man I love you I might mention you in my will
I would possibly marry you if you were of opposite sex
So this is your place to thank every single guy that helped you in this forum
Whether he helped you root the phone or he helped you unbrick it out he gave you a great Rom anything that you can think of
And anything that you wish to say to those developers out there this is your place
2) for developers
I really request you to test this thread regularly and from time to time so that you people know how thankful we are for the work you do
This community respects you your work your dedication and your friendly attitude
3)I know every developer out there has at one point of tine have had this instance when an idiot comes up and criticizes to the extreme point
And I also know quite a few developers have stopped their work because o those idiots so here is what we want to say tothose and all developers
Guys
In life when you start doing something and someone comes along and says what you are doing.is bull shot
There are many things and many people better than you and u r doing has already been done or that it is a waste of time blah blah
Would you stop doing that thing
No you wouldn't and you shouldn't
If one man had stopped because of these idiots then we wouldn't have had electricity in our houses no phones in our hands and no aeroplanes to fly
Every great thing that has happened had happened because people persisted they refused to believe what others said they believed in themselves
So if some idiot comes to us thread and tried to act like the know it all sick just tell him to get lost
Yes I mean it tell him to get lost
You shouldn't stop doing what u r good just because someone doesn't like it or has some happy go ****ty thing to say
In fact no-one should stop doing what one is good at because someone says something
SO PLEASE KNOW THAT WE AT XDA ARE THANKFUL TO YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DID FOR US AND PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US BECAUSE OF SOME FOOL
3) FOR IDIOTS
I WOULD REQUEST THE MODS TO TAKE MATTERS OF INSULT TO DEVELOPERS SERIOUSLY
I created this thread to let every idiot who thinks he can come here and disrespect our developers know that we TAKE IT ****TING SERIOUSLY
YOU HAVE A RIGHT EXPRESS YOUR OPINION BUT AS A PERSON YOU ARE ALSO OBLIGED TO SAY WITHIN YOUR LIMITS WITH ANYONE ON THE BOARD UNLESS AND UNTIL HE MISBEHAVES FIRST
AND KNOW THIS THE END OF EVERY DISCUSSION CAN BE THE TWO PEOPLE AGREEING TO DISAGREE
THAT'S IT NO MORE
PLEASE DON'T LOOSE YOUR MORAL GROUND WHILE DISCUSSING SOMETHING
AND IF U DECIDE TO DO IT KNOW THIS THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO ANSWER YOU IN THE SAME LANGUAGE AS YOU ARE SPEAKING
THE DEVELOPERS AT XDA ARE DOING WHAT THEY ARE DOING BECAUSE THEY LOVE IT
THEY ARE NOT BOUND TO HELP YOU
ARE NOT YOUR SLAVES
ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PHONE DIES ON YOU OR YOUR MOTHER RUNS AWAY WITH YOUR NEIGHBOUR
EVERYTHING HERE IS FREE ADVICE TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
BUT DON'T BE AN ASS AND COMPLAIN ABOUT IT IN A ****TING WAY
COS SOMEONE IS SPENDING A PART OF HIS LIFE IN DONATING TO THE COMMUNITY WHICH HE DOESN'T HAVE A NECESSITY TO DO
ALL OF YOU CAN'T PAY THEM FOR.THEIR TIME
AT LEAST SHOW THEM SOME RESPECT THAT'S IT
4)if you have any more suggestions regarding what this thread could be please pm me
If u think I am overreacting please keep it to yourself
If a duplicate thread exists please tell me
To mods if this thread it's against any regulations tell me I'll delete it asap
P.S. though I doubt thanking is against rules
NEVER INSULT A DEV PERIOD
NEVER
Just a note that XDA is not a public forum, and you most certainly are NOT free to express yourself however you want.
So here goes my gratitude
First if all I would like to thank yank for his awesome kernel
As a matter of fact I was going to throw my s3 due to multitasking issues but I. Somehow managed to convince myself to root and wait for sometime to see if I can find a way around multitasking
And I did in zram and swap which were both made available to me by.the most courteous man on XDA yank
So thank you yank for your awesome work
In my opinion he is the most helpful man on XDA who would answer every aspect of the question in utter detail and would always keep an open mind when discussing something and always assure you to use and find out what works for you and use it no matter what the theory says
Can't thank you enough man
Finally enjoying s3
Yanks kernel
Sotmax v13
Zram enabled
Swap enabled
Hey...totally agree...
Yank555 is a dev that we will all miss...most of his free time spent late at nite..many sleepness..on kernel development...
We cannot express our thanks enough for what he has delivered to us in making what i think the best kernel today...
Yank555...we respect
(Just thought i would comment before xda closes this thread)
Guys whats wrong with using the thanks button? That is one of the reasons why it was created afterall...
And about developers leaving XDA... we take this seriously as well but at the end of the day, its their choice, always remember that. As for the idiots... instead of ranting at them, why not just report them to us and let the XDA moderators and admins deal with them

Hybrid X ROM thread WILL return soon

I just want to make things clear for everyone that my Hybrid X ROM thread will be reopened as soon as I get the new build ready and uploaded. There are absolutely no issues between myself or any moderator or other member(s) here at XDA. Please don't think otherwise and please show some love and respect for your fellow members and moderator/administrators here at XDA. They all do their very best to make the site enjoyable for everyone. Sometimes simple mistakes are made by moderators as well as members including myself. I was in violation of a couple of XDA rules and was informed of this so i made the appropriate changes and also requested the thread be cleaned up as well as time allowed for me to make these changes to my OP and upload a new rom soon. So please check back from time to time and get ready for version 2.2. There's a lot I have to do but I want to bring something awesome that will appeal to as many people as possible.
I really really want to stress that the relationship between dev's, members and administration/moderators is something that XDA takes seriously and I have witnessed this first hand for quite some time. Please be willing to overlook mistakes and inconsistencies from others and not be too quick to judge and make posts that you will regret. We all have done this but we can all work together and make efforts to keep making XDA an awesome & pleasant experience by being as respectful and curteous as possible, even when we might disagree with decisions/actions of others, including XDA staff.
Thanks for reading! Now let's sit back and take a few moments to appreciate all the good things we have in life and not dwell on negative things. That's not how I roll!!!!

Goodbye G5 & XDA

Thank you to all who have helped me over the years on XDA. And thank you to all the DEVs for your hard work and efforts. I will be leaving the community indefinitely just as soon as @MikeChannon receives and processes my request for full account removal. Many of you have been great and a few of you have not. Those few unfortunately have outweighed the many. Incessant *****ing and rude behavior have played a major role in this decision. XDA is not what it used to be, and while I'd like to say it is getting better, it is not. The current internet generation of "give me give me give because I'm entitled" is just downright unpleasant. All links, and contributions that have been shared by me site wide over the years are now inactive. I wish you all the best in your Android endeavors.
Only way to stay afloat is to ignore the negative n annoying.
It sometimes seems like it's the majority.. but there are some good users out there.. just like you. Sad to see you go.. would like you stay (but I get it).

Thank you for your hard work! Sending you positive vibes on your future endeavors!!! :good:
I understand your decision, but i don't understand why make all your post contributions inactive. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't know what your did before but I assume it was very helpful. If so, why not just let it be for other good people that will need help? Your decision of course. Good luck!
I have been digging in your posted threads and i see you have many threads started. Im sure many of them are helpful to others. I might not be a developer myself (yet) however, every time i see people complaining as if developers have to actually please them, I would really love that xda give them a suspension between 1 week and 6 months, in extreme case 1 year or indefinitely. One thing is to complain, and another is to let know to the developers about bugs, or problems or request or similar things in a respectful way. I, and i m sure many others, will be sorry to see you go. Of course, it's your decision to make. Best wishes
So... I have received a reply from Mike and have read the posts here about my departure... because of select members here and Mike's reply to me, I will not be leaving XDA. I take offense when people don't respect the community and it's contributors. I've been a long time member here and have seen many changes on these forums... Some of them have been great, but quite a few have not. I still feel this place is quickly being over run by "whining entitled gimme gimme's" but moving forward, I will not allow that to bother me (as much). Lastly... Thank you to those who spoke up when I made the decision to leave... It's because of you that I am staying... It shows me that there is indeed still some good people left here. I have also opened up the things that have been shared again... So if anyone has an issue with a link, let me know, and I'll edit the post to correct it. In closing...Mods, you can now lock this thread if you wish.

Glad to read this. If the thought re-emerges again. Just remember that the world has a balance. You will find good people, and you will find bad people. And XDA is not an exception to this (THE LAW OF BALANCE). Just try to ignore the beggars that seem to be too unreasonable and reckless. But also, try to sympathize with those which have a problem and at their best behavior are trying to explain the problem so the devs can solve them. Of course, Always remembering that You have the right to be "selective" of what you want to do or not. :good: :good: :good:

I've been around for a long long time. XDA for the most part has provided enthusiasts and developers a means to do things they otherwise wouldn't have the ability to do which is share information and maybe get some recognition for it. The "new" people who have flocked here have made things a bit more annoying, but its just the nature of most things as they become more mainstream. (We are all hipsters) It was a whole lot worse when android was first released.
Thread closed as per OP request.
