HELP!!! Screen not responding after CWM mods!!!

****. I accidentally clicked the option to partition internal SD card and it screwed up my phone!! Kept booting up in RSD mode so I tried flashing it. It boots but the bottom inch of the screen is misaligned by about a CM or so.
Tried the latest FW and the first to no avail. Redownloaded them and nothing. How can I fix this? Tried formatting internal SD card and going back to factory settings.
I'm in Canada and bought this off someone online so is my Atrix ****ed for good?
How did you do that. Would that work on a 32gb

Sorry but this doesn't help. I noted how it was done. I accidentally partitioned the internal SD card. It was late at night and my contact lenses were bugging out.
Rebooted and it wouldn't boot. Using Droid Explorer to control my phone and trying to see what I can do. I'm thinking I somehow have to repartition the internal SD card so I'm trying to get CWM back on there.
If anyone could help that'd be amazing.
Can anyone help? I tried calling Motorola and they said I can't send it directly from Canada... am I SOL???
Hi,
I did the same thing ... could you fix it?
Your pds partition is messed up, you need to flash the pds partition fix. There's a post in either general or few about the fix

Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
i think you shuld tell your version first
and call others to backup their pds
if you can reboot to recovery, you can restore your pds,but maybe you can't make phone calls,as my friend's defy has the same problem, and at last have fixed

Try wiping your caches? Like dalvik cache perhaps? I usually wipe stuffs after i flash roms just to get that brand new feel

+1 .. Nothing like a brand new feel .... althought tbh, you should probably full wipe BEFORE flashing
you may change another kernel to try to solve

Recover Data From Internal Storage

I have flashed stock with odin but forgot to backup my data from my internal storage and I was wondering if i can recover the data.
I have installed a few data recovery programs but my phone is not listed as a device to restore.
I have tried on windows and mac with no success.
Thanks

If you flashed a stock ROM on your phone, I'm pretty sure that wipes your internal storage, so I don't believe you will be able to recover the lost data. I may be wrong and perhaps you can use a data recovery tool to recover the data, but I don't think data is stored the same way on these phones as on a computer. Moral of the story: backup!

Thanks but my problem is that the recovery tools dont recognize my phone. On my previous phone the nexus s I was able to restore the data.
Maybe it doesnt recognise my phone because it doesnt mount the sd card it uses mtp.

Possibly, or perhaps the app hasn't been updated to support the gs4 yet. Under the description of the apps where update changelogs are displayed, is there any mention of gs4 support?

i think that the problem is how to mount the internal storage for a pc to see it. if this is possible then any recovery software may then try to find and recover deleted files. i really want to see a solution to this coz i mistakenly wiped the internal sd of my s4 which has pictures taken from a recent vacation with family. hope someone comes up with something soon...

[SOLVED]n9005 nandroid restore but (internal) sd card not working

Hey all,
Rooted on stock firmware, MJ7 via the URDLV instructions and all was fine.
I flashed TWRP and have made a few back ups while trying out my rom that I have built. After my rom not booting, I have restored my nandroid backup.
This had been working fine, until now. My sdcard is no longer writable, I cannot send pictures that are on my sdcard and apps complain about storage problems. I have enough storage and can prove it.
I would appreciate any help that anyone might have with this. I don't want to format my phone/memory/card or anything really if I dont need to.
Thanks,
Matt

I think what he meant was that if your are worried about losing all files(erased SD card) then just make positively sure that when wiping data for a ROM switch that you DO NOT have internal memory checked when wiping phone. It's very simple to avoid but at the same time very simple to click on accident and not notice it.. Or in case you were just talking about if you would lose all installed apps after switching ROMs then unfortunately that is correct. Although it truly isn't at the same time because after flashing your next ROM and installing correct gapps upon initial boot after flashing ROM the Google play store should be recovering the apps you "lost". Hope that helped.
