Samsung TTS High Quality voices - could somebody with S4 download and share them, plz

Got few
APK and voices here (need to register to download)
APK is tailored to work on any Android ICS and above, not needed for SGS4 obviously.

It could, but unlikely (IMO).
Voices are relatively big, there no need to pollute /system partition.
And it's mounted R/O usually.
Anyone got them yet?

GraceHD goes to /system/tts/lang_SVOXP, see the screenshot
(GraceHD files are taken from S4 leaked system dump)

GraceHD is the only preinstalled HQ voice - not downloaded, it was in the ROM already.

It's unlikely that the data for system apps (such as Sansung TTS HD voices) will land into an unprotected folder, such as /sdcard/.SMT
But, we will see, if somebody with S4 phone in the hands will help us to get the HD voice data

What is the problem?

my text-to-speech was pre-installed on my Galaxy S4 so I don't have installation...
I solve my problem : I think it's a problem between adobe flash player and tts...

Congrats! :victory:

I thought the awesome voice my Asus TF700T had was just a result of the JB operating system, then I got my S4 and hated how the navigation voice sounds. I wish I knew what Asus used, because the S4's voice is terrible. I also had that Grace from SVOX on my other Droid and the trial sounded great, then I bought it and the voice was entirely different and also sounded like garbage.
Why doesn't it just use the GoogleNow voice? That's what navigation sounds like on my TF700T.
EDIT: Looks like it may have the Google one after all now that I checked in the settings...

1. Between these two opinions, where are we supposed to place these TTS files? and how?
2. Do I need to install SamsungTTS_0.0.3 & SamsungVoices, If I have to use EkaterinaHD voice?
Am new to this, don't have much idea how to install these TTS files. I've downloaded them, and they're in downloads folder on Nexus.

On my Nexus S, I can't find /sdcard/.SMT, there is no folder as such. But am able to locate system/tts through Root explorer. So, I'll go with that folder structure.
I checked on that original site for instructions, found them, but since they're in Russian and Google Translate doesn't do very good job, it gets very difficult to understand it. I also found from that site, that EkaterinaHD is a Russian voice, something I don't need. I need English US HD quality voices only. Can you personal message(as not possible to post here publicly) me the installation instructions in English language along with suggestion of which voice is best for English US in HD.

In the Verizon section in the Malladus thread the dev Okibi broke out the Lg Apps into a separate zip. I didn't install the whole zip, I cherry picked the apps I wanted out of it. May work for you, don't know if they're device specific though. Just figured it was worth mentioning.

I was able to install the quick translator but not the polaris viewer. It's okay though, i was after the translator more since i could already open documents with other apps. Thank you again for your help. ?

Get Google Assistant working on your Device.

If you guys want to try the latest feature of Android 7.1 I.e. The google assistant on your One plus Device so well now you Can.
Prerequisites:- Your phone running android 7.0
Latest google app 6.6.x.x (worked for me.)
Build.prop editor.(better use es FM)
Procedure: 1.Open Es FM
2.Grant all the root permissions and note that the system is set on r/w mode.
3.Go to root.
4.Open System----->Build.prop
5.Edit ro.product.model=Pixel XL and add the line below the model one.
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
(SEE ATTACHMENTS IF CONFUSING)
You r good to go now...Just go and install the latest google app from apk mirror and then clear the data of google app once...Reboot your device.
And voila you now have google assistant on your device.

I can't use the "OK GOOGLE", it doesnt store the voice and asks me every time to say " OK GGOGLE" thrice. Any way to fix it? I am on AICP Nougat ROM . Do anyone have the same problem? If no , tell me. Thanks!

That's Currently not working with any of the phones but is expected to be fixed in the coming update.

Stumbled upon another workaround and got it working on my marshmallow rom dude... Used xposed and an older google app.

isnt it better to use Pixel instead of Pixel XL as Pixel has the same resolution and wont have any issues with PlayStore due resolution?

I'm on Nougat. I also tried flashing some zip files from one of the threads which seemed to work for most, I also cleared all data from the Google app

Thanks for trying to help, I did change that to end of the line.. But no avail

Even after the changes in build.prop the assistant was not working. So i just made the google app into a system app and now it works. "OK Google" detection still doesn't work though i wonder whne it will be fixed

QSlide Calculator?

Just got the phone and im notocing that just like the v20 there is no QSlide calculator and some people suggested for the v20 the lg g3 apk and that it does work with QSlide but i have tried it on the g6 and it will not install. Any suggestions? Or an apk that works

What the hell qslide apps do they include with g6? the calculator is the only qslide app I really use on my lg g3. It seems crazy they wouldn't include it, its by far the most useful. Or do they just assume you will use split screen every time you need to do a calculation?

It took like 12 minutes to register but it was worth it just to thank you! Now I have my familar G3 calulator. They also left out the broswer in the G6 qslide apps...but then again, we don't getba stock android broswer.
For those that are having problems installing, I did too. You have to install the MEGA app and register. Then "allow unknown sources" in your settings. The link won't let you download from broswer. After that, yoi have to Import the .apk into your MEGA account, then you can install. Thanks again!

Hello, I know this is a year old. I just got the lg v30 recently had the same issue with no calculator. I was able to find a calc app that would work for it. What u have to do is search for "LG g5 official calculator apk" look for the official one that someone posted and download that. no corruption and works. I would love to post the site i got it from via link but its a no go as im new. But i hope that helps. Once I find the site again I'll re-edit this post with directions and link to the apk.

2. Clear data on all of these apps one by one
3. Go in recovery (TWRP) and make sure to backup EFS just in case !
4. Download CSCselection
5. Install the zip file in TWRP
6. Choose XAA Default (USA)
7. Reboot
8. Push the Bixby physical button and enjoy Bixby Voice all over the world !

Download all the updates from apkmirror.. doesn't work in Belgium

I can upload apk files if needed, I'm in USA but was also part of the beta test program so my voice service worked for a while now, as far as custom Rom I'm pretty sure it needs to be touchwiz Rom to work I don't think it'll work in aosp type

Does anybody know if changing the device's locale to the USA will fool Bixby to enable it to work?

As far as I'm aware bixby voice is a server side upgrade. At least int he beta it was. I'm not sure simply installing the apps works. In the end it's processed on Samsung's servers...

I think the update is for the sm-g950U only :crying:

VPN is irrelevant IMHO. Afaik Samsung goes by your Samsung account. My Samsung account is registered to Germany and can't be changed. I don't think geographic location is relevant for the update.
Some people in beta had success with creating a new Samsung account with VPN, changing the location of the new account to US. But nothing you could change in an existing account...

Only the US released phone's are now using Bixby.. has something to do with the csc as well. I hope that we have the option later on to use it in the English language
