I got all my files and stuff now all I need to do is Compile. My device isn't supported. so I copied and pasted files that were needed. now How do i compile it when my device doesn't show up in the "Lunch" menu?
should i just compile aosp _arm then port it to a zip that can be flashed. (Xaosp_arm + supported rom to supported rom/OMNI build, if that makes sense?)
Let me know how it go if you compile! I may just do what you did if it worked...please share! I'v been patiently waiting for any guide / commend require for the building of the rom lo

Ok thats right place to start. First update your device vendor.sh to include add_lunch_combo custom_(device name)-userdebug, also you should create custom_(device).mk in device tree folder and include that file in AndroidProducts.mk of your device tree. That should enable your device in lunch menu. As an example check quoted grouper tree.
Also do not forget about proprietary drivers for your device.

Its my fast first look at Omni sources, i haven't tried to build yet but i think there is nothing more to do for adding a new device. Maybe you will face problems at compile, so just monitor log if i have missed smth.

Nope. And even if you could I wouldnt even try this without a computer available. And definitely not as daily driver. The beta would already be buggy, and this is the version before beta.

I think they already have it. They wrote they'll be busy for the next 3 weeks or so beta testing the nougat MIUI for mi5s, amongst other models that will also finally receive Android 7

the reason i put it here is mainly for developing purpose since developer may wanna extract some stuffs from 7.0 based official rom

yup, this is the first version of 7.0 based MIUI official rom which released today.
it is suggested to use fastboot flash instead of recovery flash for BIG update
but i dont think everyone can use the rom due to lack of beta access
Maybe there is a trick to use without permissions?

Nothing special, I only flashed in official twrp like any other ROM
It's fine for me, rom is very beautiful and fast.

Feedback of Epic 7.7.20 (Kate):
1. Install SuperSu 2.82. No Problem.
2. Install XposedInstaller 3.1.1. No Problem.
3. Flash Xposed v87.1 (include Bootloopfix) SolarWarez. No Problem.
4. Now testing. No problems at this time.
It it the only one modified rom with MIUI Version 7.7.20 for Kate. Good Work!

After searching each forum i came to result that their is so far no custom rom for the asus zenfone 3 laser
I'm also waiting for a ROM for ZC551KL / Z01BDC... Really nothing so far for this phone I tried some builds of Viper, Lineage, CM for other Zenfone 3 but nothing worked on Zenfone 3 Laser. Please, if anyone can port a Nougat or Oreo for us, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Lazer uses the Qualcomm 430 instead of the 625, this is why you are having issues with the roms. I don't think you will find much support here... there weren't many people working on the Zenfone 3 Rom before and I'm not sure that will change.
