Which battery saver do you prefer and have good results with?

Battery life tips?

This works for the S4 as well...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37891031
searching and reading can show you everything you need to know.
Only thing ive disabled is google play apps auto update.
My brightness is always at max and disabling auto updates helped me out greatly. You really don't need latest updated apps to run. Just go home and update them manually while charging.
My phone goes through over 12 hours on a single charge. But then I am not a heavy user. Just facebook, web browsing, emails when I am not on ky desks. Maybe 1 hour of phone conversation daily.

Use a power manager app. I'm using GO Power Manager, but there are many.

Get better battery stats app and figure out where you wake locks are. Then work on reducing them.

Turn off all the gimmicky smart features and disabled as many of the bloatware apps that you can.

Battery life for me has been stellar. Yesterday was the first full day of use for me and I was at 15 hours with 56% percent of battery left with 3 hours of on screen time. I haven't changed a thing as far as controls. Today I've turned off a few of the finger controls and will see if it saves me anything.

Oh nice. Let's start posting gsm battery stats. I'm on my first full charge so will report back.

Battery life has been good on mine so far. Make sure to turn the always on wifi scanning off! Made a world of difference for me.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using xda app-developers app
On my first charge I got 6 1/2 hours with half on screen time playing games, surfing web etc. and had 50% left! My s4 would have died twice by now.

You should tell people how to do it. Wifi> advanced> uncheck always allow scanning.
I had totally forgotten about this. But even without if off I was getting 18 hours of heavy usage, no wifi and on lte. This phone, even without turning stuff off has the best battery life I've ever experienced from an android.

Getting the best battery life I've had with a phone. So far it's been on over a day with auto brightness, LTE, push email, and Wi-Fi when available and it's already hit 6hr30 min screen on. Plus there's 23% left?! Im impressed.

Culprit of battery on our note is samsung.android.strokesearch
Force stop it if you are not rooted from going in th e battery stats option..
Or freeze it using titanium backup..if you are rooted...
You will definitely get 20% better battery life....as it was consuming 32%battery on my note 10.1 2014..
However dont kno what this process is related to...
It did not affected my s pen experience any way...
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
how did you find out what was draining your battery so much? Just the battery panel in settings or third party app?
Battery panel..and one thing more its better to freeze this...bcoz I have seen that its starts itself up automatically...so it pain in ass
Force closing it again and again...
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Or go to Settings and disable Pen Detection. That way if the S-pen is not detached, the service will not run. Freezing the service entirely is not wise.

Got it ...frends leaving our s pen outside its socket..makes our tablet run this app even if s pen detection is disabled...
It means it eats battery...
So keep s pen back when not using it...

Your battery stats will not be accurate until you drain more of your battery.

Slight battery drain? Your phone was only on for 17 seconds. Are you trolling us?
I wish I was trollin, really though... I had just pulled it off the charger at this time but typically average use would kill the battery after say I pull it off at 10am ish... To about early evening

Just use it normally till lets say 50% and then post Partial wakelocks tab of Betterbatterystats application.

Acceptable battery drain?

Just curious if 2.5-3% drain an hour is the norm. This is with location off, sync off, Wi-Fi most of the time, auto brightness.
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
Depends on phone configuration and check if you have a wake lock.
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
Also depends what you're doing, just sat on the home screen will use much less power than streaming music.
6 hours screen a per charge seems to be the normal.

I don't even get 3% drain with 6 hours of 'sleep' time with location/sync/wifi on.
You're asking about drain, as in if you're not using the phone?
Yeah, that is not even using the phone. I greenify everything save alarm app and textra
