Very easy if your not wearing tight pants. My girlfriend would not be able to fit it in her pants, it's just to big.... but seriously , if you have an inch of space between your leg and pants you should have no problems.
Side note: I don't get why people complain about the size of the phone, and/or weight. It's not like you need to be a trained body builder to lift these devices. Plus the added real-estate is a bonus when playing games, browsing the web, taking notes, and all the other stuff people normally do on a telephone.
One complaint vs the note II is the weight of the 3. It's too light for me to notice it in my pocket and sometimes freak out thinking I left my baby behind somewhere.
In the end, if you can't handle the invalid judgments people give you regarding the size of your phone, then don't buy it. If you want the best smartphone available today, get it.

Fits fine in my pants as long as they aren't tight. Tight are too constricting on the junk anyways.

Fits just fine. In fact it fits better than my previous Note 2 because it's slimmer.

Note 3 is definitely a better fit than the 2 in my back pocket or whichever pocket I need it to fit.

Why would you ever put your phone in your back pocket? I'd just end up crushing it when I sit on it, forgetting it was in my pocket

I wear Levi 511s which are skinny, but not ultra skinny.
Fits fine in front pockets. I do tuck it to the outer portion of the pocket and it sits better there, but fit overall is :good:

Fits fine in mine too

Doesn't really feel any different than my previous phone, GNexus.

I hate when people say, "it doesn't even fit in your pocket." First I put it in my pocket, then pretend to hand it to he/she to try it...NOT Then say YOU WISH b*tch

It's not rocket science. Just go to any store, let the sales associate know you want to pocket test it so they don't think you're trying to snake it and slip it in. Same as if you would buy a car. Don't rely on others since everyone is different but test drive yourself.

Seriously, if you wear jeans or dress pants it fits just fine. Have no idea why people hate.

Where do you keep your DHD?

Ok, this must be a stupid question but you see, one of the main reasons I gave up with WM smartphones in the past was size. It was hard for me to move around with such a big phone.
So where do you guys keep your phone, especially in the summer time when you don't wear coats with large pockets but just jeans with a t-shirt?
I usually move around a lot, from one place to another, and when I don't have a suitcase with me, I have to keep in my hands keys, wallet (when I don't want to have it in my pocket) and a large phone. This used to make my life harder and so I changed to a small phone. Now, that I'm getting a large phone again, I started thinking.
How small are your pockets? The phone fits easily in my pocket!
Yeah, I could imagine someone worrying about carrying a 7" tablet, but the Desire HD.. It fits my pocket.
Fits in my pocket fine, but my jeans do have quite large pockets. Go to a shop that sells the DHD and have a look at it in the flesh
fits in my pocket fine also i got a pouch which increasez the size of the phone but i have big enough pockets
I have mine in my pocket. Even at work. I dont have anything else in the pocket though.

In my pocket, it's really not that large, I can even keep it in my jeans pocket (can't sit down with it there though)
In my pocket, including my jeans pockets...no problem whatsoever
I have to put mine in a dolly trolley hahahaha...
Jokes...Ive got a hydro gel case and it still fits in my pocket.
Although Desire HD looks like a "big"phone, what makes it "not too big" is the thickness - it just fits the pocket without being too visible. And the weight is just on the border of being just right and not to heavy. The bottom line is this: go to the shop, ask if you can put it in your pocket (so you won't be accused of stealing and see for yourself.
Ps. I was jailbraking my friends iphone the other day and god, how small the screen felt! When it comes to touch screens bigger means better (easier too use) - and Desire HD hits the sweet spot between too big and not too big

That must be the reason. You see, my older phones like iMate JASJAM was too thick although the screen size was not too big but I had hard time having it in my pocket.
Well, thanks to you all for your feedback, I will know better next week when mine arrives.
Pocket, it ain't that big as people say.
Maybe if for women with tight jeans its to big, but in that case, they usually got a big ass bag where an tablet could find room

I put my Streak in my back pocket when I'm out and about, Or in my jacket pocket when I'm driving.
At home it sits on the table or in it's cradle..
Should be no problem to keep the Desire HD in the same way.

So far I love it.
Doesn't the phone feel awfully bulky now? That looks like a lot of added bulk...
what is your job? phone breaking?
i might feel safe hitting that with a hammer.
too much bulk for me. i go naked.
It does add some bulk but it is not as heavy as you think.
Yes, I actually have a job where I have to work for a living. I am an Industrial Mechanic. I fix machines.
so I do like a little added protection. Also my wife dropped hers getting out of the car on day 1 and cracked the screen. Cost me $100 out the gate.
the holster can you swivel the thing on your belt ? or is it locked in place ?
Yes it does swivel

Walking out Nude! Or not

Being that the phone is made out of aluminum you would think it won't break as easy as any plastic phone.
I'm considering going without a case due the fact that a case just takes away all the beauty of the phone.
Anybody else doing the same?

I did that with my old iphone 5. Terrible mistake. Tiny scratches on the side of the phone. Plus if you drop it it will make a nice ugly scuff.
But if your careful, go ahead, go naked.
But if I were you, i would get a poetic atmosphere case, looks really nice.
Too much risk for a beautiful phone.

What's the point in having a beautiful phone if its always covered up?
I always go naked.
"Too much to risk for a beautiful phone" is the opposite of how I see things. To me it's too beautiful to put a cover on.

A lot of people buy phones then resell them to get the next big thing. You drop the phone, the resale value plummets.
You don't have to get a dam otter box and cover it up. Just a clear case would do, or any of those skin protectors.
But hey, if your super duper careful go case less. Just trying to save people from the drop of doom.
But nvm, I had to reread the op, you already made up your mind going case less. GL

Going caselsss is risky, especially with camera lens cover. Got minor scratches already in lens cover.
Didn't get accessories in my place still. Otherwise, would have put a case already.

Could care less about resale value, I bought it to use it and enjoy it, and in the case of the One (and One X), how they felt in my hand and how they looked had more to do with my decision to buy them as the hardware specs.
I've got a drawer full of old phones, I don't resell anything, though I might give one away or loan one out.
I drop it and break it, oh well, I'll get another one. I put a blemish on it, oh well, I live with it.
Scratches on the camera lens are no big deal either, it's a cell phone camera, it looks like crap to varying degrees even when it's un-scratched.

i take pride on taking care of my phones and keeping them always clean, i went nude to work today, and after a long shift at work, i come back home and i have one tiny scratch on the back of my phone, its very tiny not noticeable, but its still very stressful, will buy a case tomorrow asap!
My One X is in pretty good shape, no protection. I have a scratch on the glass that was clearly from a diamond ring. Other than that there is miniscule damage in one place on the metal strip around the screen.
The SIM tray looks atrocious, but protection wouldn't help with that since I use it; it appears to be made of some kind of soft cheese. A new one is less than a fiver.

Best case to use with these pretty phones is a pouch. That way u slide it in the pouch when in your pocket and not using it , and you take the phone out of the pouch so you and everyone around you admire it when use want use. :screwy:

Personally I always go bare. The One is so beautiful as well that I think a case is a double-crime.
I usually 'dedicate' a pocket to my phone and keep everything else (car keys, change etc) in others.

That looks nice. I'm picking one up.

Dropped face down from 2.5 feet

Pulled up to 7-11 this morning for some coffee, One was on my lap, parked, opened door, got out, SLAP!!! It fell face down flush with the ground (asphalt). I think I stared at it on the ground for about 3 minutes, before my eyes teared up I decided to face my fears and pick it up. The glass was perfect, no scratches, nicks, or cracks... I was VERY surprised. It fell hard, the aluminum on all 4 corners does have a nick in it, but the glass was fine.... Awesome.

I think because all 4 corners are chipped, most of the force was distributed and saved your screen.

Forget the Otterbox, if you can get this instead go for it.
I bought one the other day and it is easily comparable to the Otterbox.

The One X is tough. I've dropped it on my hardwood floor many times, phone still looks great. Tiny dent on the bottom. Still upgrading to a One though, I'll just be more careful.

I was shoved down a flight of steps yesterday by an inconsiderate schoolboy, and there are now two large cracks across the screen of my phone. While the phone still works, I want to replace the screen and speaker grilles. Fingers crossed, hopefully HTC knows how to fix this.

He was alone, I yelled at him, he cried, I relented. I'm weak like that. Ah well.
Seems the 4 corners of the phone are slightly raised as I dropped mine face down and only one corner has a little nick.
HTC phones have always been indestructible for me especially the screens. Galaxy s3 and note 2 screens are very fragile.

I was just thinking the same.
I'm a fan of the Baseus Slim flip case. It's cheap, good quality and it protects the screen.
I never thought I'd like a flip case but it's actually really unobtrusive and when I'm home I take it out.
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=300885232164
I loved the slip case for the Sensation. It was light, thin, aesthetically pleasing and protected the phone really well. I don't understand why HTC didn't continue making them in that style. They went back to the chunky ones with the pull tab for the One X and they don't do a slip case for the One at all. I much prefer being able to feel the lines of such a beautiful device when I'm using it.
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=180718618384
I would never have a flip case that holds my bank cards though. Firstly it's very nature makes it larger than necessary but you're also making a very convenient little package and advertisement for muggers and pick pockets. Not clever if you live in a city.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
I gotta ask you something guys.
I'm trying to decide what to buy. Flipcase, pouch or some clear gel case.
I really want to buy a pouch because I don't want to hide this beauty. So my question is; when do you think people drop their phone most? while talking or while taking it out of pocket? I mean if I got pouch it'll protect it if I drop when taking out of my pocket. But It wouldn't help if it was in my hand (obviously)
I always like pouches. All of my phones look like new when I finish with them.
In my opinion, skins don't protect the phone it's so easy to scratch the screen in your pocket and screen protectors look like ****.
Flip covers aren't ideal either. You could easily get keys or loose change between the screen and the flap, when in your pocket.
I like pouches because you hold the phone as it was intended to be and you view it as intended. What's the point of having a beautiful device if it's hidden under layers of gel, leather or plastic? It's like everyone who has an iPhone is always telling me how beautiful it is and that's why they don't want an android phone. Then I ask them the last time they actually saw their beautiful iPhone out of it's case and that makes them think.
The difficulty I'm finding with the One and a slip case is as I pointed out above. HTC made a great slip case for the Sensation but the last few they've made have sucked. I have a One X slip case and it's huge both on the phone and in the hand. I've tried loads of third party slip cases in the past, with other phones, and the main issues are quality and that they're generally ill fitting. Not to mention they often look like crap.
The reason I started buying official HTC cases was that I was sick of buying new cases all the time and I saw one cheap and decided to try it. I have to say that the quality is generally way better with their own cases and I've bought official ever since (I've owned six HTC phones). This time round though I think they've screwed it up. The official cases for the One are too bulky. I want a tight fitting slip case that covers the top of the phone well but is easy enough to remove the phone from to answer quickly.
You also have to consider the material. When I first started buying cases I really didn't want leather and I bought ones made from textiles but they aren't so easy to slip in and out of your pocket. In fact gel cases pretty much grip the material in your pockets, this could cause you to fumble with the phone to get it out of your pocket and drop it. I say that because it has happened to me before and I had a few near misses. So. Anyway. I ended up realising why it makes a lot of sense to go with leather. It's just as easy to get in and out of your pocket as with no case at all.

[Q] How many of you place your Note 4 in your pants pocket?

I am curious, how many of you place your note4 in your pants/shorts pocket? I had a note 2 that barely fit in my pants pockets, but with it's curves it seemed to stay in there ok..... but for some reason the metal ring makes the note 4 more noticeable for me. I can always tell it's in my pocket(versus note 2 I would forget about it). It also just doesn't seem to settle as well in my pants pocket. It also feels like it could slide out easier when sitting in a couch.
No problem I've noticed. It does stay put better with a case on, but I often go without as well. I use a pouch for it when running though, running shorts' pockets aren't very snug and the phone flies around too much. REI has a nice pouch the phone fits in.
I always put it in my pocket and have no problems.
I'm kind of guy that like pants or trousers with large pocket. I like to put everything in my pocket.
But when I sit, I always hold my phone or put it in an area that I can easily take my phone in case I'll need it immediately
