[VIDEO] Adobe Flash Install for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 General

I know HTML5 has been widely adopted. Let's face it though. There are sites which will not change over and resources which are Flash based that will never be converted. That's why I always install Flash Player on my Android devices.
Note: Search function on XDA is disabled. Not sure if this is a repost here. If it is, sorry. Two, I did make a couple of errors on the video. I have a young baby girl that needs a lot of attention. I did not reshoot.
Prep
Make sure you go to settings > general tab > security and allow install from unknown locations.
Download
Flash download link: http://flash.cricketusers.com
Go to that link from your device. It will start the download automatically. This is a version I've used for a number of devices for a good amount of time.
Browsers
Download your favorite browser. It won't work on stock, and it won't work on all browsers in general. I'm sure people will start to chime in one what worked and what didn't.
Dolphin Browser - works and it is my choice because it allows for an always on option. This device is powerful, and I think it can process most sites with ease.Boat Browser - didn't see an always on option here. Looks like it has to be on demand. This means you have to click the little download icon to load the Flash object. That was one of the errors in the video. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, gripes, b..., moans, etc feel free to post a reply!
KitKat 4.4 Update
I don't have the S4 with me anymore, but below is a video of flash player being installed on my wife's Nexus 5.
The modified flash apk has been placed at: http://flash2.cricketusers.com

Worked great no issues! Thanks for sharing.

I believe the Adobe Flash Player works fine on the stock Android browser, at least on high end Samsung devices ( I have the Note 2 ). I install from and regularly check for updates on the official Adobe site. Just search archived flash player versions.

That's what I thought too, but after reading this topic thread I went back to my stock browser on my 2-day old Note 3 to check. Sure enough, the flash plug-in I side-loaded an hour after bringing my phone home doesn't work on the stock browser on the Note 3. It did on my Note 2.
Using Boat and it seems to still work fine there.

Which version of Dolphin are you using?
The best I have found so far is firefox. Unfortunately, the pause and resume control on the flash player doesn't work when watching videos.

Far as I know it is the only version that comes up when you search the play store. You do have to go into the Dolphin settings and select flash always on

This is true. Of course I wrote the above comment ten days ago, or four days before the (Verizon) Note 3 was released. I could go back and redact it - but I've moved on. ?

Downloaded and installed. I can confirm it works with the Chrome browser. Thanks OP.

Do you know what version, if any, this corresponds to on the Adobe download page?

Hm, I tried 11.1.115.81 and it didn't work for me in either Chrome or Dolphin. Also, it's a different file length than the flashplayer.apk linked to in the OP.

I haven't checked the OP but Adobe regularly updated Flash Player for Android to patch security vulnerabilities. The .81 link is the latest and, as it turns out, final version so it's not surprising that the file length is different.
Chrome for Android has never supported Flash. Dolphin does, or at least it used to. But I haven't used Dolphin in a long while so I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.

I would have used Dolphin with this but Dolphin along with basically any other browser I install has terrible stuttering scrolling on the Note 3. So for now I'm using Chrome Beta which shows the least amount of stuttering.
My need for flash has greatly been reduced over time but it's great we still have a method for using it. Thanks OP.

Right so does anyone know which version, if any, on the Adobe download page corresponds to the link in the OP? The .81 version doesn't seem to work on my Note 3, and I'd rather use a download straight from Adobe if there's one that works.

...... that's because Flash doesn't work on 2.1.
Period.
We have Flash Lite but that doesn't really count.

Doesn't work, at all. No matter what you read online. Believe me, I have tried.
it does work... so does search... lookie here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792231
Flash through skyfire is not the same as flash on the device. Skyfire converts flash video server side so games will not work, only video.
Flash on 2.1 does not work on the epic. Even if you install it, it uses flash lite.
Nobody has ever shown me proof that it works. If I'm wrong I would love to be proven wrong though.

We will have to wait for froyo for flash. Bo real flash on 2.1 . Skyfire doesn not count they just convert flash video on their servers into playable format. And hulu has them blocked:-(

That's weird. I just played some flash games no problem when I couldn't before. Maybe it will
work if only flash 9 is required but not 10.1
I'll fully admit I was wrong in my initial reply. So flash is working, flash 10.1 is not. This means some things will work fine, some will not.

Well that would be because in android phone mode it compresses everything down so small to make things more legible.
While in desktop mode it's meant to give you a full and rich desktop like experience. It's supposed to include flash content in this mode.

What browser are you using? Some browsers like Firefox don't support flash yet. The default Browser, Dolphin HD, and others do support flash.
This might not apply to you, but sometimes when it seems like my flash plug-in isn't started, or maybe it's crashed (ie. a website says "Please install flash"), I run Adobe Showcase which seems to reload it. When I go back into my browser, whatever flash website I was trying to view always seems to work after that.

[Q] My N10 won't load a website that should load.

I have adobe 11.1 installed and used dolphin, boat, ocean, and chrome browsers. But whatever I do I can't get live.lifechurch.TV to load like it does on my laptop. I can get it to show the video but no chat box (which shows up during one of the showing times on the video). I've searched the forums and no one else visits this site on their N10. I'm new here so take it easy haha. Thanks for any help.

Make sure you have your browser set to desktop and not mobile.
Also chrome isn't compatible with flash so that's out, for boat and dolphin it's under settings and user agent, for ocean I think you can just request desktop site in the menu.

Justin.tv doesn't have the android app out yet- at least according to their site.
BUT, justin.tv does in fact work from firefox vers 24 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox) with flash 11.1.115.81 (http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/android/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk).
I have mine set up that I click to activate the plug in...I press it, wait a few seconds then the video loads. You need to kill firefox if it's running in the background when you install flash. After you restart firefox, you should be golden.

Well, in the nicest way possible- I'm not gonna d/l the one you posted and install it...(and I won't ask anything about the version or if it's legitimate or not). But I can say I'll install the one from the market I found by looking up the app by the filename of what you posted in the app store there's a free version for it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.bantamstudio.streamiefree&hl=en and it does seem to have some playback issues.
By further looking at some of the user comments of that app, I would think that it's a general issue occurring with it and you may want to either spring for the paid version (for real) or contact the developer of the app. It would seem to be that they know best what's occurring with it and can make the adjustments for things to work as expected. Also, by the comments on the reviews, it sounds like the developer broke something when they did their last update.
EDIT: Pretty much says it all in the description of the app in the play store, buddy:
"FLASH IS REQUIRED. Streamie will help you install flash if you don't have it already.
Please rate Streamie 4 or 5 stars if you feel we deserve it. If not, please contact us and tell us how we can do better.
If you have any bugs please contact us directly so that we can quickly support you.
Currently only Justin.tv and Twitch.tv streams are available. We are working hard to add other video services to Streamie.
KNOWN ISSUES:
* The flash player will stop playing if you touch the playing video. This is a problem with the player that Justin.tv provides. We are working on a solution to this.
* Sometimes Justin.tv or Twitch.tv will take a long time to respond to a request. Try refreshing.
* If you have an ad blocker on your phone, it can take a long time to load the stream. This is because the ad request needs to time out."

Yeah, that's what everyone else told them too...and the links were already provided....it's not necessarily flash that's the issue, as indicated my previous post and by the OP uploading the apk they're using... So, that's a pretty good indicator it has to do with the app they're using- that - coupled with the information on the app in the playstore reviews/comments and known issues in the app description - as also indicated in my previous post...oh and it's also outlined how the installer for flash you mention (that was mentioned earlier in this thread) ends up also working in firefox as indicated in my post prior to my last one as well...so I think that's a fairly good indicator that flash or installing flash isn't the crux of the problem...
call me silly, but if I could take the liberty to take a wild guess here, I think it's the app....okay maybe not such a wild guess, but it's the streaming app they're using- as indicated in my previous post...
