How long u press power button ? Just make it a litte bit longer like 6 sec

About 10 sec, but sometines it's not responding. It's little better since i flashed aurora.

Your button is like mine which is getting old. I need to press 3 times sometimes more to turn on phone or turn screen. My advice use volume waker mod.

[Q] Just used the IceCreamSandwich Rom 2/9 and am not stuck -_-

Just rooted it and everything was going great but, i just turned it off and then went to turn it on and it just shows the green light, then nothing. Wont turn on and the light just goes off.
Can anyone help?
hold the power button for 20 seconds, then turn back on.
this will happen if you put your device to sleep and wake it up to soon (i wait for the green light to turn off

I don't think that's the cause. There have been reports of the sleep of death after all sorts of time frames. I've never encountered it, so I can say for sure, but check the bug tracker on CM9.
Well that exact same thing happened to me and it worked fine after I did that.
Power
Try plugging it to a power source and plugging it out
that may jog its sleep
Hold down the power button until it is completly shut off. Then turn it back on like normal. I have had a screen of death after using CM9 for 1 minute and as long as 3 hours later before. It's not nearly as stable as the CM7 ROM.

[Q] Any way to turn the screen on via the volume rocker?

So I think there might be something wrong with the power button, when it does work it has a 5 second lag between pressing it and when the lock screen pops up. However, there have been several times where I'm going to bring it out of sleep mode and it doesn't wake up - so I press and hold the power button for a few seconds and nothing. When I press it again it vibrates and boots up normally. So what I think is happening is I'm actually turning it off, thinking that it's having issues with the SOD, and then turning it back on again. But no matter how many times I just simply press the power button it still won't bring up the lock screen out of sleep. So is there some way I can turn it on via the volume rocker?
Thanks in advanced.

That is the sleep of death. No on the volume without special programming.
Well, the only thing that made me think it was otherwise was the battery stats - it shows that the tablet has been awake the whole time it's been in SOD...

That is what I have found, it is still running. That is why you have to monkey with the power button, the first long press shuts it off even tho it looks to be off. After it is shut down, then it will turn back on. Their are some ics roms that this is fixed in. I used to have the sod, but the rom I am using don't have that problem and I have had that problem with all roms, sept ics.

Display turns on, after turning it off...

Hi, the problem is this.. I am using Note, then I press power button to turn it off, and it immediately turns on... And pattern lock is not activated...
It is not happening all the time, but 2 or 3 times per day...
Driving me crazy...
Have you got some ideas??
Thanks...
Power button is a known weak point. Test to see if you can make it happen by pressing it in a particular way.

Your phone should not turn on by itself after inserting the battery.
So it's definitely something related to the power button.

phone wont turn on but keeps vibrating

hey guys
my phone (Samsung A40) has a problem. sometimes when my is turned off and i plug it in it shows no reaction. when i press volume down to start (because the power button is broken) it begins to vibrate in intervals. only when the battery is empty the vibrations stop. there are also some times, when i plug my phone it, the display indicates that it's charging and it is possible to boot up the phone.
maybe i should also mention that i opened up the phone the replace the battery and the volume flex cable because the whole unit didnt work. now when phone works, everything works normally except for the power button.
why does it sometimes start to vibrate and sometimes just works fine? how can i fix this problem?
