Does anyone know if the note 3 demo units have the gsm chip inside.
I heard an another website that this could be possible but I would like to know if this is true !

Nobody ?
as u can see the gsm chip (top left) ist there but the rest is missing as is the antenna connector on the far right of the mb.

hi there guys
i need urgently help...
i have CIngular 8125 (WIzard 100) and a G3 model...
the mbo is dead and i should switch for a new one..
but the problem is in my country i can find only mbo's from MDA Vario...
will there be any difference if i put a Vario mbo in cingular? i can see the outfit of both PPCs is different but i think the mbo's should be same in those models... or no?
what to do? please tell me!

Well,as both devices are manufactured by HTC with same specifications and feature,same processor and ram,I believe yes it wud be possible,only if it fits properly into the body(front & back covers) of the cingular and screws and all the connections get aligned,Overall,its basically the same devices,only differ in the shape,Hope it shud work fine
I would also agree with that as long as the motherboard and the screws line up correctly (towhich they just might and htc had given them different shells) all would be good in the land of nod.....

II would check the Build number you should be able to determine the equivelent ROM version.
Just out of interest, where are you getting this from and how much was it?
As you may know, there are a lot of chinese cloned phones out there, and some are more 'compatible' than others
There is a possibility that an experienced ROM 'cook' might be able to tweak the contents to include some stuff found in genuine devices if this is infact a clone.
For now, it's probably best to just get to know the device as it is, then if you like it, try and find a genuine HTC Touch HD at a reasonable price that will be able to be upgraded.
Then again it may be a legit phone!

Now that I think about it, unfortunately, the clone makers tend to 'spoof' the OS builds anyway, so you may not be able to find out anything useful. Whichever it is, I'm afraid it is unlikely that you will be able to upgrade it if its a clone.
i got an offer 540$ , brand new from HK , there is a guy selling it in Israel .
I am very confused now because I don't know what to do , the second offer that i've got is for 680$ in the USA (i am traveling there next week).
did someone had bad expirance with clone devices ?
I also sent a Question to HTC support to get details how to identify cloned devices .

and how can i tell if it is inferior ? i will have only some minutes to check the device .
i am going to his store , i will open the box , insert my sim card , make a call , check the rom version (wwe) and that's all .
it will be the best for me to check any other hint for clone device ....

I don't know, mate. I would be able to tell the difference between a cheap chinese clone and the real thing straight away. You'll know when you see it.
maybe it will be a good idea to take my friend with me with the real hd !

I was in a bind with a broke phone and had to purchase this one. Unfortunately I am thinking that this was not a good idea as with this phone I can't seem to get it on a network higher than Edge. No 3G or LTE.
Does anyone know if the 5006 is different with the hardware or should I just try an custom ROM?
Any help is appreciated as I can't seem to find anything on the 5006 model of the Note 3

Sorry i missread your post for the N9006 initialy, try to get your money back from the shop if they sold it to you as a Note 3.

I'm getting a Note 4 delivered tomorrow, hopefully it turns out to be an N910C like I wanted!
Are there any known hardware faults that I should look for out of the box? Eg screen gap or any wifi issues?
Also, is there a testing mode that I can try out? Any way to know which variant it is (Except for the model number on the box?)

There is no known issues with Note 4. This app called CPU-Z will tell you everything about your phone.

I think my Note 3 have a defective piece because the network recpetion is very bad compared to other phones : sometimes I lost the signal (no service)
I think I should open my Note 3 to replace the defective piece, but I don't know which part ? Can you help me please ?

What do you think you can replace the original parts with, if the is no fault parts? Copy parts? If if it's the nature of this phone you can do nothing to improve it anyway, unless you are engineer or something.
You might want to try a SIMswap first...

Did you rooted your phone already?
Flashed a ROM?
If So, try to change the Modem of your phone.
