Agree with Fades post. 64GB models will be coming to certain markets as well. Mostly 32GB will be floating around for awhile.

Anyone know what the actual net internal storage available (less O/S) is on the 32GB version?
I know this may vary slightly dependent upon unlocked vs a carrier-specific model,so,any input is appreciated.

and his blog for rooting the device in question
this is proven by me to work on

mtk6575
mtk6577
Do not miss any steps follow close and pause video if needed
heres the link
A play store fix is provided which is helpful but installation of it is not properly stated in video and caused me to fail first time
corrections are stated below:
download es file manager, once downloaded remember to mount system as writable at bottom in settings of application
also download s3market files provided, i have never used other file provided for calender etc it has no use in mtk6575 versions of the device
store s3market on root of sdcard
copy files within one by one, not together to system location shown
install the com.android.vending-3.5.16.apk file provided in s3market.
fix permissions in properties of files shown
then reboot device
what i have corrected in the procedure will fix the stopped unexpectedly error 100% if done correctly in mtk6575 phones of this device
I'm curious, how do these phones compare to the real thing? I gave up on clone phones after receiving a very bad quality ciphone 09..
Visually Stunning, Functionally a failure...
Be Warned, the HDC Galaxy S3 especially from fastcardtech are not worth the money and mental anguish to get the thing rooted. They come with Gingerbread, and Locked, and full of Chinese Apps. Once you free of that, the Google Sync is limited, so you cannot get your mail, calender, etc synced. Then there is Colonel Zap which is mysteriously the only person in the world prone to be able to root these devices, but be warned again. Only unless you specifically know your Chipset in your phone, MT6577 or 6575, good luck with that, you should be wary of rooting per Col Zap, as in my case, there process bricked one of my two phones from FastCardTech. And don't get me going on FastCardTech, they are complete B.S., takes over a month to accomplish anything, then they send you the lesser model than you pay for. Doesn't matter all the FREE CRAP you will be offered with this phone, doesn't make up for the fact that is is just a great looking shell with poor electronics inside.
Look these phones are from CHINA, the specs offered online are fiction, and are burnt into the kernel of the phone,so it only appears that you are getting what it states online. you are only getting a phone capable of meager performance, NO 4g, 3g, but at lower speeds if your are lucky enough to fit the Mobile Frequency Spectrum the phone runs in, being their made in China, not a U.S. friendly phone in that aspect. Wi-fi is spotty, and the software is crap, bottom line you get what you pay for, and not many resources to get you through the hard times. Good Luck.....!! At least it looks like the real thing you can show off to your friends while they laugh at you.....
Specs do not match and support is very poor
I bought the "Ultimate pro" version from FastcardTech.com (as a new member i am not allowed to post the link) and it does not meet the specs given by them. The GPS took about 2 hours outside to determine my position. After a factory defaults reset i could not find the strength to do this again
The CPU is not the 6577, but the slower 6575. The camera quality is very poor. The wifi signal is very, very weak. (i have a very good and strong router) The sound quality of a phone call is poor. The 'gsm sound' disturbes the conversation all the time, as if you are to close to a speaker. When you complain to FCT, don't expect any customer support. They give to most strange answers and can give no specific support what so ever. After some time, they say i can return the phone, but it's allmost impossible to meet their requirements, so i am pretty sure that when the have it back, i will never hear from them again. (just read the customer feedback on any honest site)
Including tax, shipping and insurance, i paid about 250 euo's for this phone.
If i had known this all on time, i would not have bought it.
But on the other hand, the responsiveness and quality of the screen is good. Gaming goes smooth and after countless factory defaults, i have managed to turn off most Chinise apps, without losing the nice 'Samsung startscreen'.
All together is not such a bad phone after all, but its not what i counted on in the first place.
Now i am curious about if there will be any tweaks possible. Rooting, custom firmware etc...
I am willing to help if possible.
Kind regards,
Coupedevil

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience. It's disappointing to read how unprofessional some of these shops are It's one thing when they mess up the specs on pre-release products but this shouldn't happen with a phone that has been available for so long. Looks to me like they simply sent the wrong phone to begin with. Their lack of knowledge of even FCE-level English makes it so much worse
I'm looking at chinastore-online to get the Jiayu G2+. The shop at least claims some customer-friendly terms, but so far I've yet to hear from anyone who made a purchase there.
So hang on you've bought an obvious Chinese knock off and your surprised to find its crap? If your interested I can do you a great price on some magic beans (cash or bank transfer only).

A clone in looks, but without the Samsung SOC. So chances of getting a ROM off here that'll run are less than zero, sorry.

I have this galaxy s3 mt6575 clone, same as in the pictures in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1921178
I also had troubles getting the gps to work and started to think it didnt work at all.
But lately I have managed to get some gps signal to work.
I did flash the cwm recovery and have now installed the Lewa rom for it.
google "LeWa For Samsung Galaxy S3 MTK6575" to find the rom if you want to try.
Not sure if it was that rom that made the gps work or not, because I also did install an app named GPS Booster, as well as the u-center gps test app, and the GPS Test app.
Now I get enaugh signal to get my position. But the antenna is weak I think, so I need to be outdoor and have clear weather and clear view to the sky to get it to work. I did not test it in the car yet, but I think it might be to weak to work reliably inside the car.
i just bought the MTK6577 (s3 mimic)
and i want to change his rom (its already rooted)
what rom will work at this device?

I have the software to update another model, which is not mentioned, but with the same processor.
I have also to update the software, it would be possible to modify intalando software programs and extract and place in another of the same model, but modified?
So manufactures improve their imperfections.

HTC One called TD 101 for China Mobile, doesn't have Ultrapixel camera

Is this the version with expandable SD card storage as well?
Why would they release a different version for a different region when they want this to be 'The One'. It is the biggest worldwide release by HTC, AFAIK, so I dunno why they'd want different versions.

Well, yes, but an SD card option might have won them some more sales worldwide if these forums are to be believed.
(I don't care either way)
China often get different design / spec.
Left alone China country.
Did similar with the DNA - Why no SD card slot here in the U.S.? Really don’t make any sense at all, they create a UI and they call it “Sense” and they don’t use their own sense at all. IMO
China uses TD-CDMA, so different products.

hi, I am from Taiwan. When Butterfly first launch here, people in local forum were comparing the specs of DNA and Butterfly. Some people were saying because DNA is a carrier specify phone and suspect with low internal memory and no SD card available makes DNA user much likely to depend on cloud service which is more profitable to carrier from internet accessing.

V Strike watch

While I impatiently wait for my Omate TS, I have been poking around for an alternative. I have simple requirements (at least I thought so) that I would like: GPS, Bluetooth, and the ability to run Android apps. You see, I really just want an Endomondo watch. Enter the V Strike.
It looks very similar to the IM Watch, but includes GPS and 2G GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz). The selling point is $213, direct from China - of course.

Thoughts?
Why not the ZGPAX S5 then. Dual core as welll 1Ghz, 512MB Ram, 4GB internal with external SD card an SIM card slots. And cheaper
I got mine from ebay for $150 shipped USA seller.
I posted some videos of it running MAME emulator with a PS3 controller even.
It also runs FPSE and even the dreamcast one (textures are not correct for some things)...pretty impressive but notifications are not done...just promises so far...

Two reasons: that ugly camera and branding.
mmmm yeah like that one you linked to above (and most of the others on this forum area) is a world renowned brand...unless you are going with Sony, Samsung, or similar , your point is mute...but whatever...good luck in your quest.

I didn't mean as much as who made it, rather the placement of the brand on the front of the watch. At this point, they all seem to be Chinese Factory developed watches.
It is yet another EC-308 rebrand and not even an EC-309 so no 3G or HSPA+.
That is good information. I do not care about 2G v 3G. I want GPS, Bluetooth (for the HRM) and the ability to run Endomondo. From the looks of it, the 308 would be fine for me. At least until the unicorn that is the TS arrives.

If you are not looking for a stand alone cellular smartwatch then the SmartQ Z would be a better choice. Newer Android version, BT 4.0, water resistant and is less than half the price. I'd say hit up the SmartQ thread and see if somebody will test some apps for you.
If only it had GPS for my runs.

Difference between the two models.

Two models,1) is 64gb storage and 4gb ram 2)128gb storage and 6gb ram.
I saw that the 128gb version has capacitive buttons but the 64gb doesn't?
Can users of any models please clarify that and anything else?

Of course, it's only from two owners, and maybe they are there but disabled. Plus, those are the China models -- ZTE may have made different choices for the US/international one(s).
I hope they did -- I'd love to have the choice between actual buttons or the capacitive ones -- just having that large blank space be non-functional is not a great design choice.

Yup. I've only known oneplus to give that choice so prob not. But then I've never really know anyone to offer an option to switch to stock android either. Is that true? (That you can switch to stock android?)

AFAIK, it's still a rumor. But it was forum moderators at the ZTE forum that were teasing that ability. It might just be that for the non-Chinese versions they will just put a more stock version on there. Only time will tell.
Apparently the 6gb version also has force touch (3D touch) - Force Touch is a pressure sensitive multi-touch technology.

The US model will. The Chinese version will only get you 3G on TMO.
It "SEEMS" the differences are:
126GB vs 64GB storage
6GB VS 4GB RAM
3D Touch vs Not
Capacitive buttons vs On screen buttons (maybe? some reports of capacitive buttons for international)
China version 6GB vs International/US 4GB (maybe?)
If China version may not support 4G on all areas vs International .
Hopefully the will release an international/US 128GB/64GB version, it's unclear at the moment. I guess we will find out.

Which HU is best and most reliable / fast with 2gb RAM / Android 6+ / Google Voice?

As the title says.
I believe my Intel Joying is dieing.
I already have a heatsink and fan but it is becoming slower and slower and almost unusable. Music from any source is very choppy and frequent drop outs. I was going to try to upgrade the O.S. but if this doesnt work Im going to have to move on to a replacement. What is the best in the market right now? I don't care about price, I have had about 3 of these things already, I need something that is going to last for more than a year.
Also what about just biulding one out of an Intel Motherboard into a Pico ITX ?
Bumped - because I'd like to know also.
I'm currently looking for a good AA-HU, but I don't know what I'm looking at as far as brand reliability, support, quality, updates, rooting... etc.
Thanks anybody!

Those "Android 8" units are just MTCD PX5's, and they're NOT Android 8. They're faked.
