Hello and welcome,
You seem to be new here, let me be your guide.
First of all, Android 4.4 is not released yet, so you can't have it on your HD2 device. And even when it is released, that does not guarantee that the HD2 will get it.
Secondly, this has nothing to do with SD development. Development forums are only for posting stuff you made/contributed to. Questions and problems should go to the HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and General section. And please don't double thread, if you have two questions just ask them in the one thread.
Last but not least, you did not provide us with any information about your device. Without information, we can't help you. Type everything about the device then we might be able to help you.
Enjoy your stay here and have fun.

Okay, this is going to be difficult. By "device information" I meant what ROM do you have? Don't say Android 4.0.4, tell us the exact name of the ROM or give us a LINK. I don't use bluetooth so I don't know, all I can do is to suggest you to search within the ROM's thread.

thank you

Unfortunately, I don't use bluetooth so I don't know if there's a problem with that particular ROM. Search the term "bluetooth" here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860 and see if you find any hits.

Android kitkat 4.4 doesn't work yet with HTC HD2
I've try Android kitkat 4.4 onto my HTC HD2 for about (3 weeks ago) but doesn't work. So i've put other rom onto my phone called by name; <NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.2_V3.zip> onto my Kingston SDcard 16 GB and run these Android 4.3 firmware (now for 2 weeks) onto my HTC HD2 without fails and also even faster then ever before (other Android roms) and also look a like that wifisignal also been stronger then for years ago...
I'll still waiting when Android kitkat 4.4 is compatible with my HTC HD2 but i'll found a Android 4.3 firmware onto my internetbrowser <http://android.hd2roms.com/all-builds/> and this works super! There's no app or something else whats going to crashed...
I like my almost 3 1/2 years old (crazy ****ing machine called by name) HTC HD2...:victory::cyclops::good:

Hello there.
The Androidversion 4.0.4 is not even the kitkat 4.4 and also the romversions Android 4.0.4 till 4.2.2 is not even a kitkat,
but i've running now for almost twoo weeks the Androidversion 4.3 and still this is not even a kitkat, but a cyanmogen (CM) 10.2 and
these latest <http://android.hd2roms.com/all-builds/> romversion works very good and fine with HTC HD2 and is very fast and stable.
This rom download (see above these line) is for free, but be patient when you started upload Androidversion 4.3, because it cost about time 30 minutes when everything is ready.
It's about 15 minutes for uploading .zip rom from SDcard and after when phone started automatically (after .zip rom installed) cost again 15 minutes when .zip rom run into screen (*light blue circle/turning around like a mirror clock* with inside wroten words *Cyanmogen*,also wroten in color light blue) and these circle with Cyanmogen inside shall run about 10 minutes after screen going over to uploading apps after 5 or even more minutes ready and your HTC HD2 shall run after finish to adjust phone first time...
Wanna need more turtorial (How to change/upload HTC HD2 Android version 2.2.1 till 4.2.2 into Android version 4.3)...
I shall layout step by step what to do, and it's very simple to upload the Android version 4.3
Friendly greetings, Bertussie

Ok...I'm brand new to this site & brand new at trying to run Android on my t-mobile HD2.
Sure...I downloaded froyo on my phone & ran Android - but I seem to have the age old "robot voice" problem.
I'm no dummy - I see that I have to change my radio version or something like that...but HUH??? What??
I've been searching & searching these forums for the past 2 hours trying to find a simple thread on how to resolve this problem (which I REALLY want to do since Android on HD2 is friggin amazing & windows SUCKS!).
Isn't there a simple step by step thread someone can link me to that tells me WHERE I can get this much needed new radio version & what not?
I just want my phone to be as awesome-tastic as I know it can be...PLEASE HELP!
Thanks!
Acey D
you need to do mnore reading. flash an android compatible windows rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
That thread is all about radios. You need to flash HardSPL first, though. So just scroll down and click the HSPL link and instructions are there, then proceed to upgrade your radio to 2.12.50.02_2 (I recommend that)
Enjoy.
NOTE: HSPL is also required to flash a different Windows ROM, so HSPL is the key to everything. Also, Miri's V17 is recommended for a Windows ROM since all the devs use it.
NOTE 2: If you haven't already, grab a class 4+ microSD card from Amazon. It's pretty cheap, and for me made a world of a difference in making Android amazing on the HD2. (I got this one, works great. http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Cla...2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1283398119&sr=8-2 8 dollars is always nice)

2 hours? You gotta be kidding me. One of the sticky threads in this forum is [REF] ★★★The Definitve Guide To Android On HTC HD2 ★★★ [ UPDATED 28 / JULY / 2010 ]
No need to search for 2 hours, more like 30 seconds... it's right on the top of the page... if you're too lazy to read that, then Android on the HD2 is not for you. If you didn't see that thread, get some glasses
Use chucky Droid rom to fix robot voice... and radio 2.12.50 to fix sod...

Is this possible?? On the internet there are offered GT-I7500 devices working with Android 2.2 in Holland.
After searching for a few weeks i could not find a link on Internet for upgrading my poor working Android 1.5
Thank you in advance

Thought about customs ROMs?
Custom Rom
Thanks for your reply
I don't know what you mean.
Please explain
Idoz
You can root your phone and put custom system software or custom ROMs. Those roms usually contain more recent versions of android. Visit your device section on xda.
Xda app
As far as I know there is no device section for the Samsung GT-I7500 on XDA.
All I could find was an update from Android 1.5 tot 1.6.
And that was not yet working 100%.
And Samsung is not planning an update for the GT-I7500.
I send them an email but they did not respond.
So I wonder why there are offered Samsung GT-I7500 devices in Holland with Android 2.2.
Could anyone give me a link to where I can find more information about this?
Thank you in advance
Kind regards from Holland

Check out this blog post.
hxxp://w w w.gadgetsdna.com/eclair-2-1-gaosp-on-samsung-galaxy-i7500-android-phone-goes-public-beta/1705/
I believe the current beta is Android 2.2 Froyo, instead of downloading the suggested mod (instruction #1 on blog) Visit the gaosp website hxxp://code.google.com/p/gaosp/downloads/list and download GAOSP-2-PUBLIC-BETA-3.zip
There are mods for the i7500 at http:// forum.samdroid.net/f11/
(remove the space)
This is probably not THE site for that particular phone, but it's a start
There is BETA 3 of Froyo 2.2.1 on i7500. It is a port of CyanogenMod 6.
Go here: code.google.com/p/gaosp and www.drakaz.com (check the first page and then go to forum)
Thanks for all the information.
I have downloaded the beta 3 file. Now I am looking for a guide to upgrade the phone. (any suggestions?)
I have upgraded several windows phones with roms from the xda forum (htc s-740, 730 ,710 etc.) but this is new for me.
I hope that I will find it.
And I also hope that the upgrade will be an improvement.
I understood that the phone will be slower (older hardware)and that there are still some bugs to be solved.
What do you recommend?
All suggestions are welcome.
Sorry for my bad english

Which OS to use?

Hey. I have some questions..
Im new in all of this an so pls forgive me if i ask something stupid
// I have an HD2 with 512MB Flash Memory / 576MB RAM
Im looking for an Android OS which runs stable, with good performance and if possible enough apps .. the battery life is not interesting for me.
So i hope, theres something out that fits my wishes
it would be nice if you could also link me the thread (or a video) where is exactly explained how to install the new os ( and of course a link where i can download the rom, if its not in the thread where it is explained how )
thank you
Here's a guide to installing Android on your HD2...

Other than that, just take your time and have a look through the NAND ROM section. Just open some that sound interesting to you from the titles and read the 1st post to see if it's what you want (Froyo or Gingerbread? Sense or no Sense?).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928
I've not seen a ROM thread yet where the dev doesn't list what's working and what's not working, so you should be able to weigh it up yourself.
I only suggest you do this because there's no way I can tell you a good ROM. It's all subjective, and you're better knowing what options you have anyway, rather than me just giving you a link to the one I use and saying it's the best there is!
Good luck mate. If you get stuck on anything, read, read, read. If you really can't find help then you've found a very rare situation, so go ahead and ask.
Have fun
Thank you, that will help me for sure, but i have an other question.
What means "Sense or no Sense" ?
Do you know the HTC interface, HTC Sense? It's on the HD2 running WM by default, but also on Android HTC devices such as the Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z (to name but a few).
If you've never seen it it's worth a look. I personally don't use it as I prefer something more configurable, but a lot of people really rate it.
Here's a link to the Desire running Sense...

Hello,
I use a clean Android 2.3.2 and it works like a charm. 720p recording does not work, but it should be fixed in future. You can contact me via MSN or ICQ.. In german
Or you go to www.mobiletopia.de and you can read my Tutorial for flashing Android (http://mobiletopia.de/viewtopic.php?f=371&t=8275) if it is easier in german.
Im not exactly sure what it is, but i think that i like it.. so thank you very much .. I will give a try to the threads you posted above.
You're welcome mate. Good luck
You may also want to try one of the NAND builds, they replace Windows Mobile on your phone. I set up NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9b NAND for my girlfriend and she's reported no problems. It's been a few weeks now.
It runs very fast and stable.
Before you can install a NAND ROM, you will first need to install the MAGLDR. But it's all quite easy.

It's Android for the NAND of you HD2. That means that it will be installed in you phone memory.
An other option ist to install Android on your SD card and Windows Mobile is still on your device and you have to start Android from within Windows Mobile.
I think NAND is the better option, after you startet Android the first time you will never change back
P.S. i used a clean Android from the NAND-section fro Leo and it just works.

[Q] NOR vs NAND

Hi , I have HD2 and I want to install android OS on it. I found a lot of solutions on this website like booting from SD Card and NAND solutions, but I have one question. Is there any NOR version installation and in general which is better NOR or NAND ? Sorry for this maybe general question but I need help and I would also wanted to consult with you . Thanks , every help is appreciated.
Hi there mate.!
Never heard anything about the NOR version that you are talking sorry
There are 2 ways to install Android OS in your device and they are posted in sub-forums in here and i think you have already saw them
The SD version is if you don't want to leave wm6.5 but wanna give Android a try!
(thats the easiest way to install it)
And the NAND version if you have decided that you want Android OS in your mobile and ofc Android will have much better performance in NAND than SD
PS: my opinion is if you don't want mw6.5 anymore go read some posts and install the NAND version cause you will have much much more performance
I hope i helped
there are no nor versions, you on about running a version in ram ?
Hi and thanks for a quick reply and more than helpful answers. I need to ask you several more things. Since I want to install NAND version, because of the performance, I need the latest version . I saw several instructions for 2.2 and 2.3 android. Can you give me the link to the 2.3 newest installation link. Also is there any known issue after installation (like no wireless network, or some applications doesn't work...)
best off looking in the dev section, depends on whether you want a sense rom or not

As Richy said there are sooo many roms for you to try
The 2.3.5 rom for me is the most stable if you want your phone to work 100% 24/7 with no battery consume!
Now its up to you if you want Sense 2.2 or 3 if you want MIUI or Gingerbeard or or or or or
For me it goes like this :
1:Go to NAND sub-forum
2: Find a good and updated Rom for your mobile (at the front of each title its the release day) enter it and read the full description the dev gives you and to all the steps!!!!
3: for correct use of your wifi,gps,etc.....find a good kernel (Most devs gives you a kernel of their choise with their ROM)
Thats all you need to know...all you have to do is read the hole post carefully
And just an opoinion..if you want a fast and stable (not a fancy one) ROM go for a MIUI and a good one is this Mwakious
and this is Kefir's Kernel
Good luck and if you need anythink PM me
PS: if you think i helped you hit the THANKS button

When the T-Mobile version is mentioned, it is purely indicating that it is a TMOUS HD2 with 1024 MB ROM and the T-Mobile logo on the top. The carrier doesn't matter

Are you sure that carrier doesn't matter , US has different frequencies , and this is T-mobile US (TMOUS). If the carrier doesn't matter ,can I then install in switzerland on orange HD2 according to the procedure for T-Mobile new gignerbread ?
If not can someone give me some links for my HD2 please. I searched NAND 2.3 android but some of the topics are from 2010 and some of them after installation have various types of problems.
Thanks !
Hi there, I was exactly where you were 3 weeks ago. I picked up a second HD2 as my WM HD2 phone is heavily loaded with apps and files etc. and I did not want to risk stuffing it. I played with a couple of versions with HTC Sense but then tried TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 and found it smaller, faster and more stable + much slicker than WM.
After just 3 days and a few new apps like Swype and Wi-Fi tethering, I cut over to droid forever. Next I will do my original HD2 to make it a mirror backup.

As long as you have a TMOUS phone, you can install the T-Mobile US version. As for the Android ROM, have you even looked in the NAND Development forums? There are tonnes of ROMs, none of them even remotely old, which work perfectly. Take Typhoon CM7 or Hyperdroid, for example.

[Q] Newbie needs assist

Hi!
Good day!
I have a HTC HD2 with Android 2.3.4 installed in it and I would like to try/ switch to Windows Phone7. I've seen a few videos over youtube and read some of the threads here but all I see are windows 7 BETA roms. Is there a "final" rom for the HD2? If not, where do i find the latest Windows 7 ROM for my HTC HD2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427611 - This thread seem to have compiled all the ROMs and updates for HTC HD2 -Windows (Thanks to the efforts of the developers and the one who compiled) but I cannot seem to figure out which ROM to get. Any assistance would be very much appreaciated.
Apologies for asking a very basic question.
Thanks!
Carlos
WOW..
I don't really know what you mean with BETA roms, because all those roms shall be very well developed, in my eyes.
"A final rom" by meaning a rom that is almost as much developed as the official released WP rom, then you can just choose one from the development threads. In ex. my HD2 is running on XBmod rom and is just like running on a official rom for me. There are many good roms like the one made by HD2Owner, or the on by Pdaimatejam etc. All these roms are WELL developed, not a BETA.
But if you mean a final one by meaning that the development is good enoug so the rom is stopped on development, you can't find one, because all roms are still getting new features just like the official one is updating itself
here you find all ROM's for HD2
recommend this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
dont forget to read tutorial for install
also dont forget to need ask Microsoft for Live activation code (all HD2 ROM's need this)
Thanks!

All the ROMs are basically the same, albeit tweaks the chef may have added. You have to realize that WP7 is constantly updated by MS...just like Android. All the ROMs sporting v8773 (Tango) have the BETA v8773 build. Thus, when MS releases the official final version of v8773 you'll have to reflash your phone and install all your apps again when the chef releases an update.
The Yuki/XBmod ROM is on the official v8107 (Mango). It is also the most stable and the only updatable custom ROM via official MS Zune update. As such, no reflash needed. It is no longer chef supported, but it's still the most stable one of the bunch.
I have tried almost all of the ROMs out there and still use Yuki/XBmod on my phones.
Hi hjhjhj ,
Noted on that. Things seem clearer now.
I just did it! I was able to boot my phone on Win7 woohooo!!!
Thanks to all who replied to my query
Ok one last problem, when i call Microsoft help desk and ask for an activation code, what details do they ask? will they make sure I have a phone originally installed with WP7?
