[GOOGLE PLAY EDITION] Need OTA Info for Website - One (M7) General

Hi everyone,
I maintain a website where I mirror all stock OTAs for Nexus and other "Google experience" devices. I've decided to start mirroring and tracking the Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Editions. You can find the page for the HTC One at http://www.randomphantasmagoria.com/firmware/htc-one/m7_google.
Anyway, I need some information from you guys to help fill out the page:
1. Does anyone know what the HBOOT version was on the original shipping JDQ39/4.2.2 firmware?
2. What is the current HBOOT version of the recent JWR66V/JWR66Y ROMs? I'm pretty sure they're the same.
3. Does anyone have the OTA ZIP file for the JWR66Y OTA that just dropped a few days ago? If so, can someone upload it somewhere so I can mirror it? Also, preferrably, I'd like it named whatever the original filename was.
Thank you!

1. Pretty sure it's always been 1.54 but could be wrong
2. It's now on 1.54
3. Here is the latest OTA, direct from the Google server - http://android.clients.google.com/p...E_3.07.1700.1-3.06.1700.10_release_332016.zip

1.44 was the hboot on my att one
i think that was for the GE ones as well

I am pretty sure that GE came with 1.54 out of the box

But that's not the GPe One so doesn't matter

Thanks for all the info, guys. The fact that both OTAs come with the same HBOOT would say to me that the phone didn't ship with HBOOT 1.54. Does anyone else have any info on the shipping HBOOT version?

FINALLY!!! RUU for 2.1 GSM EUROPE! 3.32.05.1_R_Radio_63.18.55.06P_6.35.15.11

Finally! for the European suckers like me, who for example installed an RUU from another continent(my case was Asia, Chungwa RUU update) and are now stuck with it...although there is no root yet for this bootloader/spl , at least you can have the European version with the European widgets like Friendstream...
Here ya go mates!

If there are any difficulties, use the goldcard
DON'T FORGET THIS WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE DATA. AND THAT THIS IS AN OFFICIAL HTC UPDATE, IT IS NOT ROOTED.
Damn i'm happy
Friendstream is a lie.
Also, where did shipped-roms.com get the RUU? I can't find anything on HTC's European support page.

What do you mean by "friendstream is a lie" ? I haven't installed yet but I assume it has all the European Widgets... or have you install it and I'm wrong?
Lol, where did shipped-roms find it? The same place where it has found the WWE RUU 2.03 for Legend

well, i'm not 100% sure but let us face facts...
shipped-roms.com has all the updates that are known from HTC...it has released previously other RUU that were available a lot of time after at HTC...
I've flashed this RUU to a Hero and it's perfect...
so...
Am i sure? No...
Is it official? I think so!lol
Does it work? Hell yes! lol
Ok Casca. I'll try it and give feedback. Thanks!
What you mean

conflipper, is shipped-roms developer.
Tried it Casca but it didn't work. It shows error 131 ( that means I have the wrong ID). I'm very disappointed and desperate. What can I do now?
How can I know the suitable RUU for my HTC hero?
I went to shipped-roms web site and I found many RUU. How can I know the suitable for my device?

Radio baseband stuck and wont update! Please help =(

I bought a non-rooted Nexus One off of Craigslist and I updated to frg83d and the radio wont update!
It stayed the same old 5.12.00.08 radio version before and after the update! I dont want to update to gingerbread and have the radio not update again
I know the radio can improve the battery life and reception so what can I do to get the radio updated to the current version?
Also, does anyone know WHY the radio isnt updating? Its the easiest way to brick your N1 and I dont want to have to keep risking bricking my phone everytime a new OS comes out having to manually update the radio if I can avoid it.
Thank you anyone who can please help me pls pls
What radio are you trying to get to?
5.12 is the newest one.

Are you sure? Isnt the most current radio there 4.06.00.12.7?
here is a picture from an Xda thread showing 4.06.00.12.7 after updating to frg83d: i51.tinypic.com/14jrrpi.jpg
If 4.06.00.12.7 is the most current radio then my Nexus baseband radio isnt updating and I would need some help

You really need to learn numbers...
OK the 5.12.08 radios are from the Korean version of the N1. The 4.06 version is the stock radio from the N1s here in the U.S. Soooo what you saw in that picture was someone who got the update of FRG83D with the stock N1 radio from the US. I have the 4.06 radio. It only helps SOME people with better battery life. Your mileage may vary in other words. You HAVE the most updated version. FYI: " believe only half of what you see and none of what you hear"

Yeah I also found an androidspin article here: androidspin.com/2010/09/24/googles-nexus-one-updated-to-android-2-2-1/
The article says I should have the 4.06.00.12.7 (the US version) but for some reason its the Korean version so how could I fix this?
thanks for the responses so far you guys I just gotta get this fixed to the right U.S. radio version.

For god's sake, stop trying to find something wrong with your Nexus.
The korean radio is fine and IS the newest and DOES run better. Keep it and be happy, there is NO point in going back to 4.06.

exactly, well said
Keep in mind that when you flash a ROM it typically does not include a radio. You have to flash the radio separately, preferably using fastboot.
Did you seriously think the 4.xx radio was newer then the 5.xx radio?

Is my n1 ready for OTA?

I have a factory unlocked n1 that ive only owned for about 3 months.
I noticed its still on FRG83 (not the latest FRF91).
Will I have to do anything special to get the 2.3 update? (Im in the UK if that makes a difference).

Thanks, it came up with 'check in succeeded', but nothing else (this was 5 mins ago).
I take it that it doesnt matter that the nexus one wasnt ever offered on my network (o2 uk), and the phone actually polls google servers?
It doesn't matter at all, just have to wait patiently, or force it (as above).

Can't you just update using the link provided above?
Im in the uk, running FRG83D and expecting the 2.3 update today. (also on o2)
Could it be my simcard? It works with 3g but its quite old still...
Also do I need to register my IMEI or anything?
Rest of the phone says this.
Code:
android version
2.2.1
baseband version

kernel version

You've got a weird kernel there? And the Korean baseband... my guess is your phone has had the KT FRF91 passimg flashed at some point, which would explain your lack of update.
That is very weird!
Are there any instructions on how to flash the kernel and baseband back to UK defaults?
Also what is the KT FRF91 passimg about, is it anything dodgy / something I should be concerned about?
Edit: I sent my phone to HTC last week and it's come back with a different IMEI...i guess that explains the korean part.
It's not really dodgy, or anything to worry about, it was an easy way for European N1 owners to update to Froyo without unlocking the bootloader back in the day. It does mean you'll lag behind with updates though.
I don't think you'll be able to get back to the proper Google firmware without rooting/unlocking your bootloader due to the 0.35 HBOOT (you can check if you have this or not by turning the phone off, holding in the tackball and powering on, the second line will say either HBOOT-0.33.0012 or HBOOT-0.35.0017).
Ive got the Hboot 0.35.0017 on FRG83D, i got the FRG83 -> FRG83D OTA update when everyone else did. I dont think this is his problem
It's not a problem as such, but it will prevent downgrading to get onto the Google version.
Ok its says HBOOT 35.0017.
If i root the bootloader, can I then flash my way back to 'Default' kernels / radios?
Yes, easily, you might not even have to wipe it in fact.
You use fastboot to flash the system.img and boot.img from the FRG33 image on shipped-roms.
Ok thats great, thanks for all your help.
Just to re-cap, install android sdk / fastbook on my pc, then flash boot.img then system.img from FRG33?
Exactly, although I lied, you will have to wipe.
I forgot that unlocking automatically wipes the phone.

I have already flash 1FF-olympus_emara-user-2.3.4-4.5.2A-74_OLE-20-release-keys-signed-Telstra-AU.sbf , do I still need this OTA update? or they are the same?
Can anyone tell me that can I flash ANY rom (eg: at&t , ME860 etc ) or only bell and telstra ROM only after a unlocked boot loader + CWM? I m not sure cos I just got my telstra MB860 yesterday.
Telsra has nothing to do with rolling out the OTA. It's now Motorola that is responsible for updating. Check the Motorola website and they still haven't got the ATRIX listed for ant updates yet. Try your phones settings update and there isn't anything else either.

I flashed the gingerbread sbf that was posted here a few days ago. It's less than impressive. I was considering rolling back to 2.2 but decided to give CM7 beta a crack and so far so good. The phone is like a rocketship now!
Is the bootloader open?
Thanks
I have the new Telstra update installed and would be willing to help find out. If someone could leave instructions in this thread, I'll have a crack at it in the morning.
Loaded gingerbread last night via WIFI and it took 2hrs to download. But everything is running really well now.

Update ! Fail
Hey Guys,
Attempted update numerous times. Failed every time.
Was rooted, but have unrooted.
I don't think there's anything that should stop it from updating to GB.
Any suggestions on a fix?
Anyone else find it crazy that Telstra finally gets its butt into gear just before ICS?
Rooted the new update with the application found here.
bootloader unlocked?
Anyone else not get their bootloader unlocked with the 2.3 update? I had to manually unlock mine, but in the end it was fairly easy using the guides on here.
Just that i heard/read that the bootloader was supposed to be unlocked with the 2.3 update, so thought i would ask.

No it was still locked. The Telstra update sbf was more a service sbf than a complete upgrade/wipe (I tested this by flashing the sbf with RSD lite, over the air as well as the Moto Updater - results all the same) - as in you dont lose any of your settings or apps, just updated the OS but doesnt do anything else.

Since we do not currently have any OTA updates nor does anyone have the device yet, I'm merely waiting for someone to get the actual device and provide the following information:
1. HBOOT version (can be retrieved from the bootloader screen)
2. Baseband version
3. The values of ro.build.date.utc and ro.build.fingerprint from /system/build.prop.
Please make sure to get this information before applying any out-of-the-box OTA update that might be available for the phone. At that stage, you can feel free to apply any OTA update that's available, then please get this information again post-update.
Thank you!

Hey guys,
Today is Nexus OTA day, Android 4.4.3/KTU48F. So, if history holds up, we'll be seeing GPE OTAs in about 2 weeks. This will obviously be the first OTA for the M8 GPE. I just want to put it on everyone's radar that if you get the OTA, please post the filename here. You can get it from logcat. If you get the OTA, but don't know how to get the filename, let me know and I'll help you out.
Thanks!
So, I'm hoping someone here on XDA actually owns an M8 GPE (a real one, not a converted one) and will be able to help get the OTA URLs. Do I have any volunteers? Thanks in advance!

What's the difference if it's a real one or converted one? The ota will be the same.. The URL will be the same... The file will be the same.. It shouldn't matter if it's a real one or a converted one (which in the system's eye there is no difference between a converted one and "real" one.)

By "converted", I meant people who are just running a GPE ROM. If there's a full conversion that allows you to use the bootloader and radio as well, and allows you to accept OTAs, then yeah, by all means, help a brother out!

hey guys. So I have a "real" GPE from google. I've been reading a lot around here as my only past experience is with samsung and nexus devices so this is a bit different.
It's also hard cause there is much more info on the carrier devices and hard to sift through and see what applies to the GPE variant.
So I've learned my system partition is different. I can look into that further I'm pretty good on samsung on messing with stock images and adjusting them.
Bootloader unlock is trivial on GPE, fastboot oem unlock.
I flashed twrp and rooted.
Last thing is s-off. Is s-off easier on GPE like bootloader unlock or would I still need firewater for it?
To the point of this thread, when an OTA comes out will that effect s-off? I imagine it'd remove root but I believe I can edit the image to retain root and flash with TWRP easy enough, I've done it on samsung and nexus devices enough.
How's the gpe radio compared to tmobiles?

It definitely shouldn't affect S-OFF, but as with any OTA with any device known to man, it will kill root. But since you have an unlocked bootloader, you can just reroot after the OTA flashes. :good:

I'm on wifi only right now. I ordered an isis sim so i'm waiting on that before moving my number from the nexus 5.

and for s-off I still need firewater then... gpe doesn't make that any easier correct?
I really dont mind s-on currently, I have xposed, and modules running just fine. I just feel like I should do it, just in case.... I'll have more options in the future.

Correct. The GPE only allows unlocking the bootloader. S-OFF is not available through officially sanctioned channels.
