so my Galaxy s4 i9505 screen is totaly black,i had a rom on there i forget which one now,anyways an update option came up30 meg or something,i did that rebooted then another for 40 meg,did that rebooted then my phone started getting laggy and the sound vanished,of course i didnt know the sound had gone till i woke up at 11am coz the aarm didnt og off lol,anyway ive been using it blind the last f days trying to flash a rom,tonight i managed to get Stock rom on by going into download mode,bearing in mind i cant see anything,and suddenly the sound Works again,i can unlock it press buttons and stuff,but still cannot see any thing on the screen,i havnt dropped it or anything,wondered if anyones got any ideas,culd the screem be dead?

ok so the other night i realised my XDA2 had stopped vibrating all of a sudden, so i done a soft reset and it didnt help it, then i was doing a backup in xbackup so i could hard reset it and see if thast worked, but halfway through the back up i got a message and it vibrated to i canceld the upgrade and was happy, but by the end of the night it stopped again, so i backed up and hard reset, when i turned the phone onto to test the vibration, it still wasnt working. and also the battery seems to be draining itself alot quicker, im lucky to have more thatn 40% by the end of hte day if i charge it up over night the night before.
ill admit i have dropped the phone about 2 months ago, so i dont tihnk that is anything to do with the vibration stopping work, just letting u know so u know wots happend with it.
please help coz wen im at work i have to have it on silent and i dont know when people have text me (
some one must be able to help me?
dont worry now people it is fixed, i went to put it in my cradle which rests ontop of my pc tower and i kinda missed the cradle adn dropped it onto the desk, it now works fine )

wonder if anyone can help me.
Ive had a few problems with my phone ever since i stared to change the roms on it. Something i have just put up with as it goes with the flow. Anyway just recently my phone is really being a pain no matter what rom i have installed . It just turns off or freezes and has also now started to play silly games like all of a sudden everything starts opening on the phone, and sometimes the screen dimms to black then goes off and wont turn on unless i leave the battery out for a good five mins. anybody got any ideas about this all help would be welcomed.
JUst updated the Radio rom to the lastest one i could find on here seems to have helped a bit.

Have you disassembled it or got it wet? One of the hardware buttons may be stuck. Are they all working?
No all the buttons work ok mate. this evening ive tried a different rom and it seems to be ok ill run it for a few days see if it improves or goes back to being a pain.
I was wondering if it could be the battery its about 12 months old now (due an upgrade an dthinking of the diamond), Phone normally gets fully charged every couple of days.

I bought HTC HD2 TMOBILE from ebay and got it delivered yesterday. When i checked the phone it was working fine and it was a locked piece. Today morning i got the unlock code and the phone started working fine. I was just going through the features and checked the setting and stuff. Suddenly in 15-20 mins the phone restarted itself to the white pink screen of stick together. I thought its normal and gave it like 10-15mins to boot. Nothing happened. Had to take off the battery and tried booting it n still no response. I did a hard reset. Still the white n pink screen forced me to see the lame stick together msg. after a few resets the phones booted up and gave me the windows first time usage screen. I set it up and then bam! again it restarted to the stick together screen. i noticed tht it doesnt even shows the rom etc etc info on tht screen like it used to the first time.
Steps i have already tried...and none worked
1) hard reset
2) soft reset
3) reset with no sim mem card
4) flash tmobile latest rom from their own website ( tht screwed things even more as update failed at 8% and then the stick together screen disappeared and SOFTWARE UPDATE FAILED screen poped up )
5) Tried the HSPL3 to changed it to 2.08 HSPL ( tht got the stick together screen and nothing else )
6) flashed custom rom ( after multiple attempts it allowed me to complete update and after successful update the stick together screen appeared )
7) now i have reverted back to 2.08 thru hspl3. got back the stick together screen.
What can be done and why did this happen when i was just checking the settings?
IMPORTANTLY how can i fix this...
Check the battery contacts. My friend had a similar thing where only the wirth boot screen showed and it ended up being the battery contacts.

This is a very common occurence on this phone...the little gold pins get bent easily and the constant rebooting is one of the main symptoms when that happens.
hmmmmmmmmmm i will try tht now... was keeping myself away from it as it has already eaten up half of my only holiday in this week...

As the title says my phone battery just went down and after plugging my phone for charging I turned it on but now I'm stuck on Continue and Cancel screen when ever I start the phone. Please guys help me since atm im very tensed and I don't know what to do.Although the phone is now only running in "Safemode", and I have tried using Volume Up key which seems to be working fine only in "Safemode", but my Volume Down Key isn't working at all. This just happened today, since I don't know what is causing the problem since a day later I recently upgraded my phone from JB(4.2.2) from Kitkat (4.4.2). I would really appreciate it.

Im having the same problem
Ive tried putting my i9505 on a rice box and settled it for overnight believing that my unit is busted with sweat from my pants whenever i put it there for a long time
One morning i powered it up, it worked already... Volume up and down working but after awhile my volume down started acting like crazy again
Done the same thing and it booted properly... But then again it got the same problem...
So i didnt put it off anymore so i could use it with all apps installed (i was really annoyed with the download mode and safe mode)
Ive also observed that it wakes up the screen and the volume goes all the way down.
Any fix regarding this issue?
This happened to me 3 months ago I was watching youtube on my tab and suddenly it went black ( I heard a weird noise too ). At first i think it was hardbricked because I can turn it on but its stuck on the booting screen, i tried to charge it but it was stuck on the battery logo ( I charged it for more than 4 hours ) also tried to do the download thing but also didnt work. i dont know how to fix it anymore (i searched every method i could find) so i told my dad to bring it to the mechanic. still not fixed, and it got even worse! i couldnt turn the thing on and its like this for months now, i dunno if its hardbricked+ or something becase i only know soft and hard brick .
is my samsung broken? if not then any advice on how to fix it is appreicated!!
