I have an USB-OTG cord and am on scrosler's 10/7 stock rooted rom. I cannot get this function to work! Is there a driver/firmware/LG apk I need in order to make this function? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: Tested on another phone and USB cord and drive work/can be read...is firmware/.apk available?

Nothing special need to get OTG working. I have ES File Explorer installed and it allowed me to play an HD movie from my OTG cable connected to a PNY USB 16gb memory stick.
Verizon G2 with update. Not rooted, yet.

Question I have is whether it can do USB-OTG and slimport at the same time. Anybody?

im in the process of installing my n7 in to my car. ive been reading where people are using Timur's kernel to get usb host. Im going to use my 3.5mm jack for sound but i trying to figure out can i use any rom with that kernel or do i have to use his rom? it will be a fixed installment. i wanna hook my external hard drive up for all my music. i know i need to get the y cable and a hub. do i need this to do OTG?

With the right app you can do OTG with nearly any rom. I'm wondering the same thing about using a differnt rom with this kernel. I'm not a big fan od Cyanogen
You dont need to use Timurs kernel for otg, there are apps for that. But if you want to host and charge or support for usb dac audio then its awesome.I wasnt a fan of CM roms until I installed Timurs USB ROM.
PS:if you want to run an external hard drive chances are you will need a powered one or a powered usb hub.It usually cant recieve enough power through otg.

Where can I have one?
The usb OTG support is only for usb storage or also for other usb devices (usb keyboard for instance)?
My previous Samsung i9250 have OTG support by default, I hope G2 can also do that too

CM13 and OTG

It seems that CM13 doesn't support OTG. The stock file manager won't see a thumb drive connected but ES File Explorer will. That's not the problem. The problem is that I want to connect an Xbox 360 controller but cannot. Anyone know what's the deal with cyanogenmod 13 and OTG support? How can I get this controller recognized?
Using a GS4 with Android M.
Don't worry, guys. No one on the CM forum had anything to say about it either. No one can explain why this Rom team simply refuses to implement or even explain what the problem is. Nothing left to do but ditch CM.
Use custom kernel with OTG support.

I have JDC CM13 and i can use OTG with stock file manager. But if i plug in USB drive for the first time, it asks me to format it. After that it works perfect

I guess you didn't read my post very carefully. I need to be able to connect and use a game controller. OTG is more than USB drives.

MI A1 OTG support

Hey,
I wanted to know whether the latest stock build supports OTG support or not?
Or only the problem is with my own device?
Thanks in advance
