What is busybox . And what can it do?
From what I understand, it's an executable file that gives access to a lot of unix shell tools

Im a newbee i installed busybox and script manager i updated my busybox to 20 and in v6super charger script on first run it showed me the version i installed but from the next time i run the script i see busybox version as 17...... Why is ther any thing wrong

I would love to use a package manager with the firetv to install stuff like transmission daemon or nfs-kernel-server.
i tried optware for android:

but the script finishes with a segmentation fault. i try to manually start ipkg with
[email protected]:/opt/bin # ./ipkg

any ideas why optware for android does not work for the firetv? i googled for about an hour but nobody seems to have tried optware for firetv. would be cool to get it to work!
Root or probably busybox missing?
this actually installs its own busybox with more commands. did you run playstore busybox and remove files then uninstall busybox.apk, reboot, install optware? I believe busymount scripts also install busybox. do you have that installed?
No, but the Prerequisites listed on their homepage do point on these issues.
optware installs busybox, wget and ipkg to /opt/bin but none of the packages are executable. all three files give the segmentation fault issue.
From what I read busybox can co-exist with optware busybox so I doubt this is part of the problem.
what i don't understand is downloading wget or ipkg manually from the optware for android feed, pushing it to system/xbin and giving it the right permission still results in a segmentation fault issue.
I wonder if the packages are compiled for a wrong arm architecture?
im trying to install busybox cause i wanna change density, but got error type 2 on terminal emulator after run command "wm density"
someone tell me i have to install busybox, but after install busybox that that error still appear,
