I want to buy a Xperia X10 Phone and use it as a WLAN AP for several devices (Notebook, WP7 device, ...)
Is this possible with Andorid 2.1
AFAIK there is no 2.2 or later out for Xperia X10.

If your device support adhoc then yes.you can use barnacle app from market. If not then you have to wait till the 2.3 updare rolls out.
Barnacle is a option to share u connection with Wifi or u can share connection using PDANET app, that is on market too. With this app u share your connection trough usb or bluetooth, I use it everyday
I have an edge modem that need gsm sim to get connected with the internet. Will the acer A500 work with it?

tethering the phone with the tablet is much more easy (by wifi)
A500 -> wifi -> phone -> EDGE/3G
I got xperia T2 ultra and it's not weird wifi connection like SM-N900 wifi connection is suck so anyway to tweak

my Huawei Watch only keep connection to my phone via bluetooth while I expected it also keep connection via wifi.
Did I receive bad info from the seller? I hoped that I will not be only depending on bluetooth for connection.

I've got the same problem with my Zenwatch 2.
Which operating system are you using? If you paired it with ios wifi function is disabled

It's just android wear. Very beta still, Google isn't really making anything more stable.
Smartwatch 3 user here, wifi only works when Bluetooth is disabled. It's super annoying.
Yup, same here no connection when connected to Wifi. Cloudsync is turned on too, if that makes any difference.

Enable cast screen in your Z Play!
There are some methods to enable cast screen but that requires root and is needed to edit the Build prop.
But here's is a method to Enable cast screen WITHOUT ROOT and editing build prop Settings!
First, Go to wifi Settings and connect to any wifi network except your tv wifi.(See the image attached)
Wait for 10-20 seconds.
That's it! Go to the Cast screen settings and You will see one network.
Click on that network and it'll connect and cast to that network (Your tv).

Don't forget to press the Thanks Button!

From which wifi Network you both are connecting?
Also tell your process.
It should work.
I have home wifi network where my tv is connected to.
So I turn on wifi, it connects to my network. Then I go back to Display-Cast and nothing appears

Try disconnecting tv wifi with your home wifi network and then connect in your phone and after waiting 10-20 secs go to Cast screen option.
Also, your tv is Chromecast or Miracast only or both?
My tv is both chrome and Miracast.
Please Do Not Connect with tv wifi Network. You can can connect with any other networks. It will not show devices if you will connect with tv WiFi network only.
Try connecting with Hotspots.
Still no luck. I have miracast enabled tv. I've create hotspot from my second phone without internet connection and still no devices found. It looks like that is working only with chromecast tv

Sorry that some of you are facing problem but this need Chromecast tv.

This is not Miracast.
Casting screen through Chromecast is pretty standard and is built into the phone. What people are trying to accomplish is Miracast, i.e. casting directly through wifi (without using Chromecast and the likes) and it can only be done with root (guide in this forum).
My tv has built in Chromecast.
That's why!?
Built in cast on Moto Z Play does not work with Amazon Fire TV or Stick :crying:
