Try to disable all sync and disable location services. See if the battery improves and then activate sync one by one to see the culprit.

But I don't turn any sync or location on ?
any idea ?

Check in Google maps, turn off location history and location reporting. Turn off network location in location settings of it is on. If that doesn't help disable Google now. I had this exact issue and that fixed it.

It's common if you have WiFi and network location checked in your location settings. This forces the phone to randomly use these services, even if you turned them off.

I turned off like you said , anybody help me (

Turn them all off. Reboot the phone and see how it looks in a few hours. It won't show instantly, takes time.
Go into Google Play services and clear data and reboot.

amazing battery life

Just few quick tips that will help you get amazing results:
1. get the app called Autostarts from the market
2. in the app kill after reboot google maps, talk and social hub(you can find it on scond line in the application from the possible options.
3. Get Titanium
freeze wifi sharing manager and wifi manager.
You are done
Enjoy!
Have you tried dl'ing anything from the market after doing this? Because in the help section it says you might not be able to dl anything from it if you disable Google Talk.
Why not just log out from Google Talk instead?

O-o-ps!
I just realized that I've madeb a mistake:
I was meaning google voice but not google talk.
SORRY!
Elaborate on point 3 please.
What is wifi sharing manager and wifi manager?

I think the point is to have it done automatically every time.
Exactly! You can stop them manually but they will reappear again. With the program mentioned above you can do it for good - google maps, google voice will not longer drain the battery without need. Tiatanium will take care for wifi sharing manager and wifi manager - yet another big, big battery drainer that won't affect the phone in any way
Thanks for the tip. I got the program autostarts but I am not able to manually disable google map and voice. I just see several lines of google services framework. Is this it?

Time to do some testing. I already had autostarts on another recommendation, but was lost on what to do with it.
I have found that using a very (very) minimal homescreen on a black background, using a dark profile for all apps that have the option, and turning wifi off when not needed, I can get at least 2 and a half days out of one charge with light use.
Going to see if this impacts my numbers any. Thanks!

The trick of my recommendation is that the phone is folling in deep sleep when not in use and by that way you can almost double the battery life, of course if not in constant use. To be sure that you are doing alright go get frkm tne market Battery monitor widget, install the widget and if you are running at about 50mA in sleep mode you are just fine.

found quite a number of Autostarts, but didn't see the one mentioned.

Is there a fool-proof way to ensure data is not turned on?

My data charges depend on the usage and it's very expensive. Sometimes, somehow my data is accidentally turned on. Is there a fool-proof way to ensure that that never happens? Is there an app that ask me to confirm if I am sure that I want to turn on data?
Go on settings
Press "more"
Go on "mobile networks"
And if data enabled is unmarked that means its off
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I don't want to always go through those steps to see if it's off.
And, it doesn't really ensures that it never gets turned on.
Is there another way?

I can just press data enabled and it toggles on/off
Also next time post in the q&a section

But if you really really want to make sure pop out your sim and that should work trololol but seriously those widgets work! I used them before

Airplane mode... haha that will be sure you wont have data charges!!! lol
I'm guessing you could make a null APN and simply select it, that way your device shouldn't be able to use data until you choose the right APN.
^^ This will definately work.

Quick settings by dragging the top nav bar down.
And just press the mobile data icon if it is on to turn it off.

It's weird have you try keeping OFF GPS/localization option in main menu setting?

When you in a bad reception area your phone will constantly search for a network and it will cause huge battery drain. Was your signal reception OK?

Install wakelock detector. That detects the specific service/process that causes it

The wifi always on is due to the "Always scan" option on the advanced settings on the wifi menu. Look for it and disable it.

It do to your location settings. If you want it to stay off go to your location settings and select GPS only. For some reason some of the apps are turning on Wifi to find your location. I had the same issue but could not figure out which app was doing it.
Thanks dude this was happening to me too
The latest Google Play Services has a bug; the above workaround is all we can do until they roll out an update.

Thanks I was just about to ask if any one knew why this was turning it self on
I updated a few apps thru the play store yesterday with Android System Webview being among them. Afterwards, looking at my wifi tab, I noticed it's not blinking with like before. I think the latest "Android System Webview" may have fixed this issue.

Changes in router's Wireless Security had caused it in my case
I had this issue and was causing me real headache. I initially thought it was hardware failure of my phone but later I found reason is something else.
For some reason I had changed Wireless Security of my WiFi router from WPA2 Personal to something else (I guess WEP).
That was causing my phone (intex cloud 4g) often to turn on and off WiFi on its own. I changed the Wireless Security back to WPA2 Personal and phone is now back to normal (not turning WiFi on and off on its own)

Google location keeps my device awake.

Hey guys, im using DBT latest official rom but it also happened on APC rom as well.
Sometimes when i unplug my phone from the charger in the morning, nlpwakelockCollector will keep the device awake until i shutdown location services and restart them. Anyone else encountered this issue ?

Most likely you have the location set to high accuracy,
change it's settings to "battery saver" which does not
use GPS to gain that high of an accuracy.
No need to shut down location services.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
Im having this issue too! Hope someone has other solution than turning off gps

Thats not a solution thats a bypass. Many devices have gps set to high. But location doesn't keep their device awake 100% of time.

I have high accuracy and don´t have this issue.
Maybe a clean cache works...
Regards.
I already installed rom from scratch. It doesn't solve the issue.

Something tells me you have a rogue app that is asking for location via Google Play Services. The fact a location bug is following you around via different firmware tells me something you have installed yourself is the cause.
Couldn´t be google now? The Google App is always looking for position. ( and you can disable that permission).
Google now is off on my device. But when you think about it. This m8gjt be cause of Waze application. Ill try to disable it for few days and see.
