FXZ are provided by FIRMWARE TEAM!

Please note that I don't know what is the RSD lite version requirement!
Install for fastboot []

Hope in a quick Root exploit for Droid Maxx . The PHONE !

Has anyone flashed the maxx version with success?
Yep... You have to delete the getvar line though.

I can't even get RSD to see my phone I downloaded the most recent moto helper and checked for driver updates and it is up to date. I don't know what else to do. My computer sees the Maxx and I can put things on the sd card. I didn't originally have usb debugging checked but after I did it still didn't see my phone.
I take it back I forgot that I needed to use another usb port Rsd will only see one on my laptop. I can now access RSD to FXZ if need be.

Has anyone that took the OTA flashed these? Specifically the Maxx?

It's in the XML inside the package.

Is it possible to pull the system.img out of this file?

Haven't had a chance to look yet. I don't need it anymore as I just flashed the recovery.IMG but I'll check the XML when I gt home for future reference.

<step operation="getvar" var="max-download-size" />
so do i delete this whole line? do i just open the xml when still in the zip? and is regular note pad ok to do this with?

Delete the entire line then save it. Then when you use rsdlite you would flash that specific uncompressed xml file.

Are these files stored any where else? Painfully slow link provided will take over 8 hours to dl and I have high speed connection. Appreciate it if anyone can help.

Flashing back stock recovery only
I recently rooted my Maxx using the write protection bypass method which removes the stock recovery. Does anyone know how one can reflash the stock recovery without having to reflash the whole FXZ and reseting the phone?

EDIT!: Issue has been solved
Okay so I've basically bricked my Droid Ultra, so I downloaded the XT1080 stock firmware file provided within the OP and I removed the "gevtar" line and saved, open the RSD lite..it recognizes my phone and that it is in Fastboot but when i flash the file the error I get is something along thene the lines of "failed, OEM phone connectedn...
After i noticed it says OEM phone, then noticed that i have a Samsung S4 fastboot, Could iit be that the file flash because i some how have a samsung fastboot?
I am in desperate need of assistance guys, I've literally had this phone for two days i've alreaedy bricked it....I;ve had about 6 android phones and flashed over a thousand rom's but for some reason i've bricked this doing the dumbest thing ever

Which file do I use to pull the stock recovery from? There are 3 and not sure which one to use?

Which phone do you have? The second one looks like it's for the Maxx; since the third one says just "obake", I assume that's the Ultra.

Yeah, I overlooked and missed the Maxx in the title. Thanks for replying.

Confirmed on the line edit working flawlessly to restore phone to stock using RSD

quick question. I have a dev Maxx and I know the OTA for the camera is coming which I want. I deleted bloatware etc, which I assume could cause me to not be able to update. Is it possible for me to just flash the system.img from the XML package to restore the factory image or do I have to use rsd to fully flash all the files system, data, boot, etc? The reason I ask is because I have a mac and it is just easier to flash system.img by itself if that won't brick my device. Thanks.

[Q] Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure

I'm in over my head and hoping the kindness of a stranger can bail me out! It all started when I attempted to root my wife's Razr M from Verizon. I used a utility (the DROID_RAZR_Utility_Jellybean_XT912_WinMacLin.zip) to attempt an update and then a root. Well the update failed and now I see this when the phone starts up.
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
So I figured out that I can get to BP Tools and this somehow bypasses the problem and boots the phone normally. So as long as my wife doesn't turn the phone off, she'll be fine but I cannot leave it this way. I am open to suggestions and at your mercy. Thanks in advance!

No. I'd like to eventually but right now, I need to make that fastboot lock screen go away. Please treat me like a noob if it's not already apparent.
Thanks
What caused the update to fail? Also, you're lucky btw - Normally a failed update == a brick.
If you didn't root, you can probably take it to Verizon. If you were flashing the OTA and it went bad, that shouldn't be a problem at all...

I followed this video on youtube: youtube.com/watch?v=oDzMQykQ2fA How to Upgrade To And Root Jelly Bean on Droid Razr!
I watched the script run and it kept saying "fail" on several line items and I knew I was in trouble. Unfortunately this was self-induced and I have no desire to go to Verizon for help. I'm not that much of a noob. Anyhow, I'd just like to get back to square one and start over. What I did to get to BP Tools is to hold down volume up, volume down, and power button. Screen shuts off..let those buttons up and press them again which brings me to a second menu. From there I can choose recovery, fastboot, BP Tools, factory reset. The only one that helped was BP Tools which basically sent the phone to a regular boot and it acts normal. If I choose recovery, I get the android dude on his back with a explanantion or question mark, don't recall. If I press volume down, volume up and then release volume up, I can get to the menus where it allows you to run install from disk or something like that. I can't get to the point where I can see my phone on the computer so that I could place a flash file on the phone and re-flash it or something. If any of this sounds remotely familiar to anyone out there, please feel free to add your 2 cents. Thanks!
Try to wipe all user data after you get to the screen where you can install zips in recovery. See if that works. Pm me if you get stuck and we can possibly fix it through adb

You need to flash the stock firmware using RSD or House of Moto. This should be posted over at the HD forums, but the process is essentially the same for any Moto device. There's tons of threads about it. Download the software, download the firmware, connect the phone and flash.

Have you got an authorised PC to push the file from? I'm certain to get adb access in 4.3, you get prompted to authorise the connecting machine, a security feature, if that's the case and you haven't done it, you may not new able to rectify your phone anyway, without the full firmware?

[Q] Soft Brick help me please!!!

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING
Hey fellow LG Owner(s) I am writing this asking for some help. I know that majority of LG Phones use the same software and flashing tools regarding taking your phone back to stock. I currently own an LG G Flex (LS995 Sprint Variant) and I managed to soft brick my phone. I have posted this same message over at the LG G Flex Threads but so far I have gotten no one to provide me some sort of solution on how to un-brick or factory reset my phone.
The status of my phone before it got bricked was it had Root (IOROOT method), Busy-Box (by Jrummy), Build.Prop was edited to display as a Nexus 5, and boot-loader locked along with no custom recovery. If you’re wondering why my boot-loader was locked and why there wasn’t any type of custom recovery was due to the sad fact that Developers are having a hard time on cracking it.
Now to explain on how I soft bricked my phone. I was changing my font style by using a tool called ROM Toolbox (by Jrummy). I managed to change my font once and I attempted to change it a second time, since I was looking for something that displayed it wider and bolder. So as I applied install on the new font I got an automatic reboot.
The reboot consisted of the normal LG Logo display, followed by a black screen and staying as a black screen. On the upper left of my phone the notification indicator was flashing multiple colors (red, white, blue etc). This is the current state of my phone, black screen with a multicolor notification.
My attempts to fix:
- Simple reboot of the phone ((fail))
- Let the phones battery drain out then charge for a few minutes and restart ((fail))
- Managed to get into STOCK recovery and perform clean partition ((fail)
- Managed to get into STOCK recovery and apply factory reset ((fail))
- I got into some weird mode which also gave me the option to apply factory reset ((fail))
- I followed this tutorial (LG Flash Tool) on how to revert back to stock (by hyelton) ((fail))
Link to tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644083
The tutorial by hyelton was almost successful to reverting back to stock firmware until I got to the last step (Number 6). The error that occurred by using the LG Flash Tool was when the tool attempted to flash the stock firmware it gave me a Download FAIL!! “Device Model is different“ notification (Images below). I did this tutorial at least seven times and I got no luck. Every single time that I attempted to do this I kept getting the same notification. I have now ran out if ideas on what to do.
My theory, I believe that by changing my build prop to display as a nexus 5 is the reason why I keep getting this fail notification. On the phone it-self when I put it into download mode it even displays as a Nexus 5 (Images below).
I was wondering since it’s possible to get into STOCK RECOVERY, I saw that it had an option for “ADB SIDELOAD” is it possible to push something thru ADB??? Any type of help is greatly appreciated and thanked. Please do not get upset that you see this in multiple LG threads, I am just trying to find a solution to UNBRICK this very expensive phone that I bought and I cannot afford to just use it as a paper weight. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS
Here is a Link to all my files regarding STOCK tot, dll,lg flash tools, aboot, buildprop, lg usb drivers and adb drivers that are for my phone
Link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B1D8UNLjuTB6TWpCQ1pJME5qWk0&usp=sharing
i hope these files help anyone that are attempting to help me put my phone back to stock
Alright yall, I am almost official screwed. I purchased this phone about a month ago from Best Buy and they stated that I am out of there 15 day window so I cannot exchange or replace for the same phone. I then went to Sprint on whom I have phone insurance for and they stated that they cannot do anything and that I have to go to one of their Sprint repair stores. I went to one of the repair stores and the gentlemen that assisted me plugged my phone to his computer and immediately knew that my phone was rooted. So from there I played the dumb blonde card acting like I don’t know what he’s talking about and from there he directed me to call LG and see what they can do. So now the current status is I filed a repair request and now I am awaiting a reply from LG. Does anyone have any suggestion???
**SOLUTION** hey yall i got the solution to my problem and it was simply by downloading this universal custom .dll from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2663369
and i managed to flash back to stock recovery using this guide. instead using the dll on the the guide i used the custom one.

the LG-LS995 was the part that i replaced with Nexus 5

how remember that my bootloader is still locked and this model does not have a custom recovery. but i am able to access the stock recovery with an option to ADB SIDELOAD. I got word from a DEV stating that:
"Factory recovery won't let you adb sideload a package without a LG verified updater script so it won't work." (by XDA justinswidebody)
but if he is incorrect i wouldn't mind attempting trial and error. what do you think???
okay so I tried a different approach I grabbed a d820(nexus 5 model) dll and replaced everything inside with info from the ls995 dll hopefully this works heres the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/kh9ns4gzw3i4gq3/d820_ls995.dll

what's the version of your flash tool
edit: after some reading to flash nexus tots you need lg flash tool 1.8
re-edit: I believe that the dll needs to be modified so that it accepts the device as a nexus 5 but once it's done flashing it needs to make the device and ls995 again, but for now it's 1am and I need to be up early later so I'll work on something later, also just some extra information on ther stuff: as for flashing the build prop if you can manage to make it into a flashable update.zip(which also places it in corresponding directory) which is also signed and you can sideload it should flash or just give an error, and another thing that could work with above method is flashing a corrupted kernel which will throw your phone into fastboot mode and with correct files and commands you can repartition the entire device to stock(this one is very dangerous/risky would not recommend it)

Tested and works on STOCK AND LOCKED BOOTLOADERS ONLY!
Your device CANNOT have the *tampered* or unlocked status.
WHEN S-OFF IS ACHIEVED; your device will be able to flash this and downgrade as well if it has been unlocked or tampered with.
-Boot up your device and just drop on your SD card / Internal Storage with the name 0P9CDIAG.zip
-Boot back into bootloader and it AUTOMATICALLY begins.
-Flash twice if uncertain to ensure file has written properly.
Hopefully this will help Single SIM variant development!
P.S.
More mirrors are appreciated!

Oh snap. Guess I'll have to upload it on dropbox instead. Google drive links tend to be kinked lol. Actually the same way these RUU's posted here from those Japanese, Chinese, Korean websites had listed it. I checked HTC and they have the kernel source but no RUUs for any of these devices US or international.

Tested and it does work.
Remove all mods/apps that require root first.
Then remove all root files from the settings in SuperSU.
Follow up with a reboot and if the SuperSU app is still there then try to delete it like a normal app.
Go into bootloader and flash the stock recovery.
Then boot back up and just drop on your SD card / Internal Storage with the name 0P9CDIAG.zip
Boot back into bootloader and it AUTOMATICALLY begins.
Received Setup Wizard not responding issue on first initial flash.
Booted into bootloader again did it once more and fixed issue.
Hopefully this will help Single SIM variant development!

Before you flashed you did remove root from SuperSU, then uninstalled it completely, then flashed the stock recovery and relocked the bootloader right?
I had no idea what would happen if I didn't do those as a safety measure and although, I did notice when I used the RUU and booted up the SuperSU app was still there.
Now what I suggest is using the RUU that you posted to fix the system errors after using this one. I will post the link for the 154MB RUU on HTCDEV. Although I don't recommend anyone to use just one of these IF their rooted and has removed system apps from the device.
Also, it isn't corrupted as I tested it on my device before uploading. Here is where I got it from:

Should've flashed the recovery before locking...
And if your flashing in recovery mode there is a verification error. Flashing an RUU would not make this error appear. It wouldn't even load after extracting the files from the .zip and your saying it gave a signature error and verification error. Really?

I did flash the recovery before locking.
And I didn't flash the RUU in recovery, at first I tried how you said in the OP, and after "checking..." for about 5 minutes it said press power to reboot, and when I did it brought me strait back into Hboot no matter what I did. Then I tried flashing the RUU using "fastboot flash zip "nameofRUUfile".zip, thats when the cmd gave me the "signature verify fail" message. After receiving that message, I tried to open the actual RUU file on my PC using WinRar, thats when it said that the actual file was corrupted.

If my link doesn't work download it from the original source. I was just helping everyone out by uploading it to Dropbox seeing as the servers from those sites tend to move a little slow.

You posted it without testing it but tested mine and ran into issues? If someone tried your file they might be in the same situation your in now.
I think you should flash the one you posted on top of the one I did the same way you did for this file.
But retry the RUU posted as I got the same thing in the bootloader when it says press power to reboot but when I did the phone booted up but I ran into a "setup wizard is not responding" error when it fully booted up. Flashed again and was fixed.
As I said flash the HTC file now available to fix any issues with startup as this RUU may contain the files/apps but the RUU you posted organizes the files/apps for the system in the correct manner I believe.

So you posted it and didn't even test it. You just assumed it would work for people?
Also, its not my file. It was put out there by a developer out in the world. I also used this to test on my device before uploading. I have no idea what you do/did with your device so I can't just try to recreate the issue your facing. I told you how I used it on mine and I was able to get it to work.
With any file you should be fully prepared and knowledgeable in what your using in the case an issue arrives. If CM bricked your device, you would be mad at the developer or yourself?
Your telling me its my files fault, yet your taking no responsibility for your actions. If you ran into an issue and me as the uploader stating explicitly that I have tested it and the methods I have used to get it to work what would you like me to do? I gave you the original source of the files so you could compare them to your leisure but its the exact same file.
The things your saying don't line up at all in short. I apologize if there was an issue with yours but mine works just as fine as day one after flashing the RUU. This RUU DOES flash just not in incapable hands it seems. Hopefully HTC will release an easier one to flash for anyone with difficulties.
Have you downloaded from the source as of yet?

I wasn't calling you out because I thought it was your fault. You said I had uploaded a file without testing, when in reality your file is the only one to harm somones device, (wether it be your fault for uploading it or mine for flashing it) ,when my file couldn't hurt anyone. That's like saying if I claim a .jpg file is a Lollipop ROM it will brick people's phone.
I think my issue is deeper, my /data partition is clearly corrupted, as I can't format in recovery or through fastboot commands.

[Edited] So in short do you believe I uploaded something that could potentially harm a device when the device has specific security measures that will not allow certain actions to be taken?
[Deleted]
[Edited] Also, that's like saying I made the RUU myself. A great accomplish that would be only; If its supposed to be signed code ONLY FROM HTC that's accepted by the bootloader. If you try to put an UK RUU on your phone and its US it won't flash because of these signed codes and bootloader security measures.

Tell me this. If you try to put an UK RUU on your phone and its US it won't flash. Do you know why? Do you know why this RUU works on this device and it won't work on any other device?
I suggest you keep your comments to yourself as I know you were hoping someone else would've posted this but never expected me to come across it first.

How To: Fix Lenovo A3000-H Soft Brick WITHOUT USB DEBUGGING OR CUSTOM RECOVERY

Can someone pls. help me. I have a rooted Lenovo IdeaTab A3000-H that accidentally got soft bricked after I edited build.prop on /system/build.prop
Info:
Model Number: Lenovo A3000-H
Android Version: 4.2.2
USB Debugging: Disabled
Currently Bootable To: Stock Recovery and Fastboot
(I could boot to ADB but it could only do sideload commands)
I have a recovery.img (CWM) that I can't flash since my PC can't detect my tablet while it's turned off
(And also if possible, can someone give me an original unmodded Lenovo A3000-H build.prop.bak and CWM flashable zip compatible for my tab.)
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
If you can get in fastboot mode you should be able to flash a CWM recovery.img, no need for a CWM flashable zip.
You can also try adb pushing a copy of your original build.prop to replace the faulty one, you can extract it from your stock firmware if its available for download and use the extracted copy or you can extract the build.prop from whatever custom ROM you were on if you had Custom installed.
I'm not saying these are your definite fix, they are just some things for you to look into.

1) it says that my tablet doesnt support flashing partitions through flashboot
2) my backup for my build.prop is in my internal storage(phone storage). And that is why I'm asking if any of you guys have an original copy of build.prop.bak so that I could try to flash it using my stock recovery
3) whenever I try to do adb commands, I always get the error "error:closed"
PS: I only have stock recovery and I can't flash using SP Flash Tool because I don't have my USB Debugging turned on
BTW sorry if I sometimes/always reply late... It's because my timezone is different, because I live in the Eastern Countries...

That's because you don't have USB debugging turned on, without that turned on your only option is to restore your device with your stock firmware. I don't think you are going to get much as far as answers here at XDA, you should take the device to a repair shop.
If you can boot to fastboot then you should be able to flash your stock firmware and restore the device.

I don't believe flashing a custom recovery through your stock recovery is even possible. You can't flash custom through stock recovery, you can only flash stock files and updates through stock recovery.
If you get the build.prop how do you plan to put it back where it goes? You said that USB debugging is not turned on so adb won't work, thats probably why fastboot isn't working either.
If you want to try the build.prop then download your stock firmware and extract the build.prop file from the firmware and use the extracted file.

Thanks for informing me...
Actually I'm planning to put that build.prop or build.prop.bak on a flashable Zip that I could flash to my /system....
and I'm not 100% sure if that's gonna work....

If you mean to flash it through stock recovery I doubt it will work, you can see if there are any stock updates in zip format for your model that can be flashed in stock recovery, if you were rooted it probably won't work though because you have to be unrooted and have an unmodified system partition to apply a stock update.
Your device isn't hard bricked yet so there should be something you can do, I just don't know the details of your model. You may have to take it to a repair shop.

But I guess you won't achieve something unless you try...
BTW my friend is a community member here, and he said that it might work if I flashed build.prop.bak to the system. So I might as well try it....
I tried to use the SP Flash Tool to flash the recovery.img to my device but it got an error 3038 (I think), so I'm guessing it's the scatter file... (I Googled it )

I don't think so but don't quote me, it'll either flash an succeed or fail, I doubt it will make things worse.
Have you looked at the possibility of using an extsdcard and a debrick.IMG or its equivalent to boot from a bootable extsdcard the same as PC does with a bootable USB? If it works on your device like it does some other devices you can boot into system from extsd and then do what you need to do to fix your device then return the sdcard to normal use after you are going again on its own.

Can you tell this to the admin just to see if he could help me...?
and also, do you know why my tablet keeps disconnecting to my pc after 3 seconds when I'm trying to flash?

An admin won't be able to help you. All android devices are different, they vary drastically from one model to the next, no one here knows about every device, you are going to have to find other users with your device or you will have to find a developer that works on your device, they will know what you need, we aren't all experts with all devices, we each know the devices that we have personally owned and used.
The disconnecting every three seconds is because you are still in a bootloop, it boots to flash mode then loops and boots again, over and over, it can't find the right stuff to boot the way it needs to.

Our purpose here at XDA Assist is to point you in the direction you need to look for your answers, we are not here to help you with every step until your device is fixed. I gave you suggestions for where you need to look for your answers because that is where you will most likely find your answers. If you do not find your answers where you were sent, that does not mean to come back here continuing to ask, I have done all that I can for you, I'm sorry that it is not helping you. Your device is unknown to me, the fact you are getting no answers in the forums means that the members in the forums also do not know your device, if they did then they would answer you. There is no guarantee that you will find your answer on XDA, we can only help with the devices we are familiar with. I don't think anyone here knows anything about your device because I did not find a lot of information about your device when I did a search of all the XDA forums because the information you need does not exist here in the forums, only another user that is experienced with your device can help you. You are going to have to find someone in the forums that also owns your device. Continuing to post here will not help you. Be patient and search through the forums by using your device model number in your searches here. If what you need is here then you will find it if you dig through all the threads that are associated to your device model number.
If you can not find an answer here then you will have to consider taking your device to a repair shop.
