No, not at all.I took it as a joke, of course. But my question wasn't one. I just wanted to know if anyone developed a thermometer app based on the display.

I really don't think there would be an app for that. As an accessory, maybe, but not as an app. I don't think that any phone has the required sensors for this.

[REQ]Lie Detector

Can any 1 make something like this using a similar interface as "Seismo"? Obviously it would use the microphone and if possible the phone vibrates when it detects a lie.
I wish i knew how to make apps.
this my wife would love to try this
wow, maybe in 20 years

Nexus One Sleeve Trick :) Now with pics

Ok, so I am using the original sleeve that came with the phone, which protect it well enough to my mind.
Some stuff were pissing me off though, like having to take the phone out of it to check for new notifications, or the fact that the sound (notifications/ringtones) was attenuated a lot by it. So much in fact that even at max volume, I missed a couple of calls.
So I did cut a round area where the trackball is located, which allows me to see if I have new notifications without getting the phone out of it.
I also cut it where the speaker output is located. Now I can finally hear my phone ringing, in its sleeve, in my pocket.
Did cut it with normal scissors and burned the edges (to avoid the holes to grow) with a lighter.
It is a dumb trick, but improved a lot my overall experience, so I just wanted to share it here
I ll try to post pics later on, as I am at work right now and cannot do it.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the trackball hole in the sleeve...haha I can picture it.
I'm sure Apple has already patented that and now it's only a matter of time before they sue you
Yes! Definitely put up some pics of your ghetto-fabulous new sleeve!

how is the nexus s touch screen feels compare to iphone?

to my opinion ,iphone in all versions has the best touch screen felling...
for those who "touch" both , the nexus is giving any fight??
I have an iPhone4 sitting right here and I think the NS is just as responsive as the iPhone, the real test would be multi touch,

then in that case, it would all boil down to the software, and i find that this NS is faster than the iPhone

Yeah, it's kind of funny that they have almost the same processor and GPU, same glass, same digitizer, etc.

the screen feels much better than iphone because it has the oleophobic coating that makes the screen just feel super smooth

Dropped my Xperia Z :(

I've just knocked my XZ off my sofa whilst on charge and it hit a tile from my fire place! Checked the phone thoroughly and was just about to go get a beer to celebrate when I noticed a small little crack on the side under the volume button :'(
Its not really noticeable tbh but I know it's there! I might get three to exchange it now and say somethings wrong with it as it will bug me like hell!
Dam this is first time I have been clumsy with a phone!

That's what you get for not using a case.
Tell them you only just unboxed it & it's cracked.

Do you wrap a porsche in plastic bumpers? No. What's the point in buying a good looking device if you'll hide it in a case? Why not just get the Casio G-Shock?

I take mine out at home. Solely to keep it clean outside I put it in a case, not to mention protection. Also, if you have it in a case it's harder for potential thieves to spot expensive phones from worthless ones. A big thin slab looks expensive.

1. I tend to keep myself out of mud and dirty places.
2. I don't live in an area with a lot of crime or poor people.
But we are having a stupid discussion here. Some people like to have some extra protection and some people don't. It's easy as that.

I live in London and going through parts with poor people in them is a given. :crying:
It's not mud, it's some jackass spilling his drink and you putting your phone in the place an hour later.
It's not a stupid discussion, I like hearing other views. It's no more stupid than this thread.

Ahhh, okay i can imagine it may help masking your phone a little so it won't have a "please steal me, Sir!" tag on it And i've also had the occasional "this looks like a clean spot.... aaaaaand it's not", but i like living on the edge, one bar at a time :silly:
