Go to your updater-script and remove the first three lines about "assert prop" save and then flash again

You are trying to flash a rom that is not for your phone. If you try to remove those lines from the update script you should be sure of what your flashing. This is "protection" and there for a reason.

First flash philz kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
then flash raw kernel r4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397000
then you will have a selinux compatible recovery

If you want to use OmniROM, use TWRP instead of CWM/PhilZ recovery. Then do a factory reset and flash omni's zip found on dl.omnirom.org/n7000/. The zip already includes a kernel, if you want to use custom ones such as devil's, search for their threads here.

N7000, along with most other GS2-family devices, can't change recovery without changing kernel.
Download the N7000 ZIP, flash it in CWM. It will fail to flash properly but SHOULD flash the kernel. If it does flash the kernel, reboot to recovery and you'll find yourself in TWRP. Flash, wipe, and go.
If CWM can't even flash the kernel, extract the boot.img from the ZIP and flash it with heimdall
I couldnt flash the kernal itself
It gives a mess saying " invalid signature "
And if i use philz touch it says error code 7
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
You have to read a bit more instead of opening multiple threads for the same issue. You'll need root and a working CWM.
PhilZ kernel must be flashed from external SD within stock recovery 3e as update zip.

I didn't understand if you are facing issue with rooting your phone or installing custom recovery? And which android version is installed on your phone and which method did you follow to root your phone?
I was running 4.4, and while doing both root and recovery i was facing issue in odin, it used to get stuck at reset. But now i uncheckd the auto-reboot option and now its working

But i didnt understand 1 thng, that when I unchecked auto-reboot option although it installed the TWRP recovery, but still PASS didnt come there, it was still stuck on reset.. What is the problem here, as i may also face it in future when updating TWRP

If you have sucessfully flash twrp you don't need to use odin again to flash another recovery you can do it by flashing it from the same recovery. You'd only need ODIN when you cant access your recovery and need to enter download mode to flash recovery.I hope you are using img.tar file to flash twrp via odin and not .zip

My device model has been changed

Hi Everyone,
I do apologize first if this is a dumb question.
I just flash my T-mobile S5 with an international ROM. Everything is working great but I have noticed my device model has been changed to SM-G900F instead of G900T. Is it ok? And what could I do to get the correct device model back? Thanks
It's fine. If you wish to change it you'll need to change the ro.product.model line in /system/build.prop.

I'm not sure this can help you cuz I'm also a newbie but this is what I did
I use Odin to root my phone first
Use Odin to flash the recovery
Then use Recovery to flash the custom ROM

Yeah, you shouldn't have gone in odin to change your device name That easily could have been done with a file manager's build prop editor. Now the reason why you can't flash your rom via odin is most likely because you checked a box called reactivation lock in the security section. If you're able to turn on your phone go and uncheck that box and you should be ok to flash via odin. If you can't boot try recovery/restore.

search, man.
the thread are so big at the Android Development Note 3 for Philz touch CWM, and Chenglu CWM.
and also so big at the Original Android Development Note3 for TWRP.
I hope you are aware that flashing a custom recovery will trip kbox, if your knox is still intact

Device bricked

hi, i recently tried to root and install dr ketan custom rom, unfortunately it will now not turn on at all, it will only show the SAMSUNG logo on repeat. I can still put the phone into download mode, but i don't know how to flash the custom rom, can any one please help? i need to get my phone back working quickly!
My suggestion is, try flashing a bootloader via odin.
This will boot the rom perfectly.
Which version of rom are you using?
What is your model number?

Either you will have to flash the latest stock rom with December patch update, that you can download from sammobile.
But then you will have to repeat the entire process of rooting and installing twrp.
Else, search on "Ram rom" thread for the latest bootloader.

Hyg,
Go to recovery and perform a wipe.
Then flash the romzip, aftet that flash this:https://mega.nz/#!dN9XzCzZ!XazzdI3T4rz93DBNd2iDN37fd8RpoZi11uzx94Iwm5I
Reboot.
If it takes more than 5min, only then flash this bootloader.
Flash this bootloader using odin.
Select "AP" tab and flash.

Let me know once you are done.
Is this your first time?
You should have read all the instructions on dr.ketan thread.

Flash the rom zip via twrp, if this error appears again, that means the zip is corrupt or has not been downloaded correctly.
