[QUESTION | REQUEST] Enable Missed Call LED Notification in GE S4 ROMs - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've noticed that my GS4 running a stock GE-based ROM doesn't have LED notifications enabled for missed calls, which I find quite perplexing given that LED notifications are working just fine for text messages and other events (e.g. charging).
Is there any way to enable LED notifications for missed without having to install an app? I just don't want another app unnecessarily running in the background.
Thanks.

Is it not an option in Settings > Display ?

No, I only have Settings > Display > Pulse notification light (checked). There are no options to turn LED notifications for individual events and turning the pulse ntification light turns them for everything but missed calls.
I also heard that Nexus 4 has the same problem. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a mod/script to enable notification light for missed calls as well.

ahh sorry.. I misunderstood exactly what you were asking.

why? lightflow is the app that gives you LED notifications. the obvious solution is to not listen to you.
OP - have you made sure that Lightflow still has accessibility checked off in your phone's settings?
Settings > Accessibility > check box Accessibility > check box Light Flow

[Q] notification light problem

So my notification light isn't working for emails and Google voice. It works for texts and other things. I tried light flow and that didn't work at all, even after unchecking everything in settings (I would buy the full version to get voice support if I could get the rest to work, test mode doesn't even work). I have searched around and can't find out anything.
I use Light Manager. You have to uncheck the system email led notification. Settings Display->Click on the Words "Notification light" brings up all the system Led options. . Any other Apps , disable their Led notifications individually. Gmail is an issue on this phone. The Gmail App doesn't have a separate Led option. It's either notification on or off. If you leave on Light Manager can't change the color on this phone like it does on a Samsung. If you turn notifications off, you get your custom color, but not status bar notification. Light Manager continues to flash your custom color until you open Gmail. That might work if you don't mind missing Status bar previews . As far as Light Flow, I haven't found a way to make it work on this phone. The developer says people are having some success, but didn't know how. There's a section about LG Led's not playing so well in the app description.
Yeah i am less worried about custom colors, at least want the notification light to come on, which it doesn't for either Google voice or Gmail, and that's with the stock notification or light flow.
I have read tons of people saying light flow works perfect on this phone. I'll try light manager then, see if that works.

[Q] Requesting Help - LED Notifications (GoSMS & Gmail) have stopped working

Verizon LG G2
Stock/Rooted
Up until yesterday front LED notifications worked flawlessly. I decided to backup my current ROM and ever since the notifications have not worked. I get the vibration (even custom vibrations that I have setup) but no LED.
Confirmed:
Screen is off
Notifications are turned on
LED works for incoming & missed calls
What I've tried:
Restore the backup from last night (no luck)
Uninstall/Reinstall GoSMS and restored GoSMS settings (no luck)
Uninstall/Reinstall GoSMS only - from a fresh Play Store download (no luck)
Completely uninstalled GoSMS and reverted to stock message app (LED notification works)
-Do not have LightFlow installed. Did try it a few months ago, couldn't get it to behave the way I wanted.
-No other LED "controls" installed.
-Gmail LED notifications not working either
As previously stated, no changes to the device other than backing up the ROM. No new downloads, customizations, etc.
Dear God...I'm going mad, any advice?
Within the display > led section... have you enabled downloaded apps switch... if you have that disabled the third party apps leds don't work

Thanks for the reply. Can you be a little descriptive? I don't see anything about 3rd party apps in the Settings > Display Section (or in the Notification Light section).
Settings > Display > notification led> Downloaded apps... that box needs to be checked

I don't have that option on Verizon.
Oh hmm sorry then no idea ... I just know if whenever I disable that checkbox my third party app leds never work
I factory reset the phone, problem fixed.

[Q] S5 different notification lights

I updated Lollipop 5.0 recently. Everything works fine. Except for the notification lights...there is only one colour for all apps.
As far as I remember 4.4 had a menue, where I was able to put a specific colour for different apps. For example green for whatsapp or blue for SMS or red for missed calls etc.
I don't see these settings anymore. There is only one blue light notification for all apps.
I installed a third-party app, which is not much reliable. Anyone knows where the settings are...or do I have to wait for Lollipop 5.1?
You can enable and disable LEDs for certain system tasks, like charging, but to change colour for specific apps, the app would need to support that feature, such as WhatsApp - you can find that setting in
WhatsApp Settings > Notifications > Light 'colour'
EDIT - Try this

There's no led notification on nothing phone, only glyph, someone is working on an App to modify how it's working but it requires Root at the moment :/
I just remembered about the Glimpse Notifications app on the Play Store, it has recurring notifications and a self test section just did it a test quickly then and it seemed to work (glyph lit up, vibration as normal) so that might be a solution in the meantime
