Looking for a new lock screen - Galaxy S III General

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a lock screen that will give me notifications but also security, I've tried lockerpro and really like it but there is no security with it and having in effect to unlock two screens (if I use my built in security) kinda defeats the object of having an alternative lock screen.
Can anyone help.
Many thanks.
Azel

You can use any 3rd party lockscreen with the stock one. The stock one has an option to have slide + security or just security. So you turn off slide on stock and have slide on your replacement screen and security from stock.

I have the lock unlocked, and I still can't get the screen to rotate at all (for Chrome, Gmail). Any ideas? It's plugged in and charging, would that cause a problem?

Nevermind, I think I solved it... Wasn't holding it properly, I need to hold it at a near 45 degree angle and it rotates just fine.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you see a lock on the drop down that you do not have rotation unlocked...

[Q] Possible to unroot device while screen LCD is broken?

Hey guys,
Is it possible to unroot a galaxy S4 device without using the device it self? Long story short, I dropped my phone and the LED display broke, so the screen is all black when you turn it on. However, the phone still works (sound/vibration/call). Preferable, I would like to send it back to Samsung to get the LED display fixed...and send it back un-rooted. But other suggestions are well accepted
Edit: I have a galaxy s4 from Fido, Canada
Well you can use Odin to flash back to stock.

Technically they cannot fault you for root because root is not the reason for this failure, but better safe than sorry.

mine will turn up later today but from the review I saw yesterday (video) the lockscreen did have a couple of widgets on it. There was a camera button bottom right and this particular review had the samsung tv app at the top of the lockscreen allowing him to adjust volume up and down and change channel.
Personally I don't have anything on my current S3 lockscreen other than the date and time but that's just me
All reviews I saw had a camera on the lock screen. Wtf!!! So angry

Have mine in front of me now Nd it has the camera on the lock screen and the Samsung tv remote

Must be the g900i

That sucks you can't even get the camera. I think I'd just turn off the lock screen at that point. You could also look into an app that puts shortcuts into the notification dropdown--I did this for a flashlight app because I missed having it in my quick settings on my last custom rom.

Indeed. I can't understand why they would take them away. Even my GS3 had this.

I have the same issue and spoke to samsung live chat and they said "Unfortunately the Australian models of the S5 do not have the feature where you can add a camera shortcut to the Lock Screen."
This sucks, ive tried using 3rd party apps and the shortcuts still wont work!
Im with vodafone AU
It's probably due to the CSC in Australia, this was an issues with other 4.x firmwares as well.
If someone is knox 0x1 already, maybe try flashing a different CSC from another region (maybe even a 4.3 to try it out)

Fling feature next level!

I just installed Dirty Unicorns and wanted to just tell everyone they have to try this new Fling feature. This is something Google should integrate into android o. I know they won't because setting it up would be to "advanced" for the average consumer but Holy hell this feature is genius!! And pulse is amazing too. I seriously feel like the first time I went from touchwiz to liquid smooth on my s4 a few years ago... Excited and blown away. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

The video didn't do much for me. But since I've enjoyed unicorns in the past I gave it a shot and messed with everything. I am able to change my lmt pie to other less used apps and shortcuts and Fling takes care of everything I do every time my phone is on. Really enjoying it.

For me it's kind of gimmicky feature. Doesn't take me anywhere faster than normal softkey navigation. Doesn't look good either (this is, I repeat, just my opinion).

I've tried it out but I still much prefer pie controls (lmt). My reason is that with fling there is still a bar taking up space at the bottom. I think smart bar is actually the better feature. I use it on my Nexus 7 that's installed in my car with shortcuts to navigation and audio apps for quick switching.

Frp initial scanning.

So I was creating 4 fingerprints today. For educational purposes I mixed and matched my three fingers used during each scan. Meaning, for scan 1 I used thumb left and right etc.. Worked good!

So for Finger 1, U used your right and left thumb to reach 100%. Then for fingers 2, you used other fingers of the left & right hands??
And doing this made your FPS success rate really good, is that what I got right?

I had a bad experience when I first got the S10+, but after the FPS update to 2.0.8.4 it is very accurate now...

Correct for one of my fingerprint scans I used both my left and right thumb. I use either left or right thumb to unlock. Also , I used the min amount of pressure to get the scan stored.

You know I was skeptical that this would even work, but I must say it works very well. It is weird that I know only have 1 registered finger (thumb) print but I can use either thumb to unlock my phone... Interesting..
