[Request] apk for android 1.5 launcher? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know this may sound weird but I want the old android launcher for 1.5. I've searched all over here and Google and can't find it. Anyone know where I can?

Wtf...
I guess you could download any android 1.5 ROM and extract the launcher from system/app

I had this stored on my computer for god knows how long. But I agree, it's highly unlikely it will work on Android 4.x.

Haha it would be nice to have it working indeed, old memories

From a quick search it looks like the only way to install is to push to system/app, which you need root for.
Their has to be a way. It's just a browser.
However I don't know how/what to modify to make it work on stock lol

Give this one a try. I was able to install on my stock rooted phone. It installs as a user app. Post #299.

There are a few different zips floating around that change it but be careful as there are 2 builds of 4.3 floating around. You could end up in a bootloop and need to reflash to fix it.

We have everything nexus 5 has.
Yes, a vague question. If you're meaning the Google Experience Launcher, yes you can. You can even do it without root. If rooted, install CM 11- comes with the N5 launcher.
