That's amazing! Thanks!!
Just out of curiosity, is there a difference between JB4.1 version 1.29.708.16 and version 1.29.708.4?

I was beginning to think this update would never arrive. Good news.

You are already on the latest version for your region (the third digit 401 is like samsung's csc, 401 is more less equivalent to samsung's xeu csc)

The download for the zip is now there.
How is the zip flashed - is stock recovery required ?
I currently have a S-OFF device with 11111111 CID. Will this flash ok or will I also need to the change product id ?
Probably need to change MID but why do you want to run a US-based ROM? I'd just wait for the EU build personally
Having said that, you just flash it in fastboot after 'fastboot oem rebootRUU'

if you dont have developer edition one there is no point of having this zip. i would advice to install INSERTCOIN or ARHD which are now based on this update. you can keep everything stock on insertcoin so it will save you alot of hassel plus you can add addition tweaks you like
and when update hits your region you can get ota by running your region ruu

thanks a lot bro ... I just want to make sure that i will nt brick my phone.. btw do i need to flash some zip file or only this and is this a5_ul? Tnx if you help me
no need other zip. just extract by WinRAR 5.0 or newer on computer (it's compress with RAR5 so it need new WinRAR) then copy "clockworkmod" folder to your sd card (or internal if it enough) then boot to CWM recovery select backup/restore and select restore from where you copy. select it and wait until finish. you can wipe data/cache if you want. and last, reboot your phone
it's a a5ul model backup from Thailand firmware, can use well on all a5ul with x.xx.707.x firmware

Where can i download or find the stock recovery for this rom? Can i flash also using cwm?

[discontinued] [FIRMWARE] Stock recoveries for different regions (CIDs)

Different firmware parts will be available here upon possibility.
Recoveries:
Here are stock recoveries if you want to revert to your carrier's stock recovery after restoring e.g. a backup of your stock rom from TWRP, and want to restore the recovery too to stock so you can receive OTAs for your original CarrierID (CID) found in the bootloader.
DISCLAIMER: by downloading and using these you take all responsibilities as your own, any damage done through the process to your device is your sole responsibility.
To flash them, go to Download mode (power off phone, long press Vol Down + Power), then use HTC Sync's fastboot.exe utility, typing (substitute xy with the naming postfix of the recovery you downloaded):

I can't tell you unfortunately. And also it's a shame you can't boot up recoveries anymore without flashing them...
in normal old hboot, you could simply fastboot boot recovery.img, now in M9 and M9+ ABoot, you just can't do that anymore, you have to flash it to boot it And thus you can't backup original recoveries...
(I'm really annoyed by this, it also means i cannot warmboot a kernel either without flashing it, which is a burden for unstable kernel development. But that's it, nothing to do about it)
Probably it could be just as good as 1.61.401.7, but it's not easy to tell without actually trying it.

Taiwanese number is 709,not 707.
Did you really want taiwan's 709? You must confirm it firstly.
Keep in mind you would not apply OTA if you flash "custom" recovery in this M9+ forum.
You could follow tbalden's CleanSlate ROM for the new update and apply firmware manually.
Hope when M9+ will be available in EU/USA in the recent, there will be more resources(RUU,S-OFF,Custom Recovery,System Image Backup...) for us.

You need a backup of a stock system and boot image restored too, without modification and backed up in system read only mode of twrp. Otherwise it will fail. Also you need the exact version of stock recovery where your backup was made.
So far it seems the best way is to have ruu signed zips with the same main version as your firmware. There's no guide here on m9+ how to modify main version of phone to be able to flash earlier full ruu zips, but at the moment we only have 1.08 ruu zips at hand, so if anyone upgraded over that is kind of stuck with read-only mode system backups if we don't know how to modify main version.
Hopefully someone can put together a guide fur that.
Tho I'm not sure, if you're s-off and super cid, it might even allow to downgrade main version automatically while flashing the old ruu, right? If so, backing up sdcard to PC and flash ruu zip then update through ota is a good option.
It needs a lot of fuss to do these things, that's why I cook the CleanSlate ROM when updates roll out and I can create them too, so people just don't have to care too much about it, flash the rom zip right away, no sdcard backup business, no s-off needed.
We're lucky because the Radio firmware is inside the ROM too, so when they update that it will be there in custom ROMs too. Also it seems that they rarely change other firmware partitions so far...

How do I restore stock system so that I can accept an OTA?
Copy the system.emmc.win from your TWRP backup folder to the folder containing fastboot on your PC (or any folder, if fastboot is in your PATH). Make sure your Android SDK platform-tools are up to date!!
Reboot the device into Download mode (adb reboot download) and connect to PC.
Fastboot flash the backup file* (fastboot flash system system.emmc.win).
Fastboot flash stock recovery (fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img)
Reboot to system, install OTA.

You can flash the OTA by adb sideload, I am having a CID_622 M9 and the zip works!!
(The OTA seems applicable for CID_044 and CID_622, which shared the same region code for this year)
Thanks @xunus for the zip!!!:good:

My M9 from Hong Kong (HTC_622) and the establishment of the OTA provides as an error. I think it does not fit our CID... I think it is necessary to wait for the official update, but the wait is tired... I think we have forgotten

Need Stock Recovery for 1.62.400.1 Dual Sim

I have a HTC U Ultra Dual Sim version from Singapore. Since I am a new HTC user I flashed TWRP without backing up my original recovery. Now I am unable to take OTA's. I extracted stock.img from my new update package and flashed it but still the OTA update failed. I can't find any RUU or factory image for my particular model.
If anyone can provide me with a sock recovery package that matches my current software number 1.62.400.1 it will really help me out. Or if anyone can provide me with further guidance on how to return to 100 percent stock, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
