Play Store Crahes after OTA 4.3 - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I've recently updated my rooted nexus 4, everything went ok, but now I can not open google play.
I have tried just about anything:
1. Clearing the cached data from google play app and and google play services.
2. Deleting the google account and re-adding it.
3. I have tried even to factory reset the device but this didn't help.
4. Verifying that Download Manager is enabled.
5. Uninstalling google play update through app management.
The crash report on java.lang.ClassNotFoundException and the cause is: Didn't find class "com.google.finsky.FinskyApp" on path...
Also whenever I try to get into recovery I get "No Command" error.
Please help me, I'm kind of lost here especially after I did a factory reset.
Thanks!

[Q] Play store closes when starting

Hi all,
My play store will not open after updating my PA Rom from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2. I did a full wipe and factory reset before updating, but when I flashed the new rom and google apps the play store just simply shows a white screen and closes after a second - no error message or anything.
I've tryed clearing the data for Google Play Services, the Play store app itself, and disabling it and rebooting multiple times and still nothing. I've also tried reflashing the google apps package and redownloading it, and still nothing. Lastly, I uninstalled the play store app via TB and reflashed the google apps package and that did not work, either.
Running Paranoid Android 3.15 Android version 4.2.2 Grouper. Do you guys think it's an issue with the rom, maybe? I couldn't find anything in the development thread leading me to think no, so I'm guessing it's just my device.
I searched around for a bit and found something about the vender.apk - but not much help on that. Thanks in and advance - any other help would be appreciated.
just reinstall everything including the rom and do a factory reset.
Maybe you could try flashing Google Apps for 4.2.2 :fingers-crossed:

[Q] play store FC's

HI,
suddenly today, my play store stopped working - "unfortunately, google play store has stopped" is the message.
iv'e tried the following:
1. clear data (and cache) + force stop + disable goggle play store (from settings->app).
2. same as 1, but to the play services (and also uninstall updates for play services).
3. checked that download manager is enabled, and tried to disable-enable it.
4. uninstall and reinstall play store.
5. factory reset.
nothing works!!!
the closest i got was when i disabled-enabled the download manager, the play store didnt immediately stop - it was supposedly updating apps, but made no progress, and after couple of minutes it stopped again.
WHAT DO I DO?!
please, i really need your help
Do you by any chance have Swiftkey installed? I've read that is causing problems with gapps...

i do have it installed, but i also read it could be problematic, so i uninstalled, and did all those steps without swiftkey installed.

Google Play services & error 491

Hey guys, I updated my stock 4.4.4 N910H today to a 5.0.1 deodexed stock ROM, and my Google Play store can't download or update any apps. When hitting the update or install button, a pop-up says error 491. I've checked everywhere for solutions, and I tried doing the whole force-closing and clearing data and rebooting and removing Google account and wiping Dalvik, all of that. However, the problem persists. I even manually updated Google Play services and the Play Store through .apks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Google Play doesn't auto update apps

hello, I use android 5.0 lollipop.
Google play doesn't auto update and doesn't show notifications for update waiting apps. When I clear "data" for Google Play Store it starts to show notifications, but when I open Google Play , it asks me about google campaigns and agreements, I accept it, and after this process problem starts again.
I am sure this is about the "data" that Google Play uses. Problem disappears when I clear data. Problem starts again after first usage. (first window)
I tried deleting cache and data for Google play services too. I did factory reset and I removed Google Account. Nothing helps.
Thank you.
Try updating the play store
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/
And clear cache/data for google services / framework
i tried, still no luck.
ive been having issues with updating apps on my s5.
i got an error code 963
it seems to be with apps ive moved to sd card.
i read something about new android OS after a certain version are not allowing apps to stored in sd card.
i unistalled playstore and reinstalled it and i aldo moved the apps to device storage and both those actions or one of them by itself allowed the apps to update
i dont know if it was just uninstalling the playstore or moving the app to device storage though. thought id share my experience
mine is the sm-g900r4

You already said "I did factory reset and I removed Google Account. Nothing helps"
What extra do you think you can achieve without re-flashing a ROM, that a factory reset couldn't fix?

sorry i am just a beginner user ,i have 2 questions
-if i do flashing rom will my phone out of warranty?
-can i see/change Google Play Store files on my phone? i have no root access
thanks.
No you won't lose warranty flashing STOCK ROMs with ODIN
You will lose warranty if you flash anything custom
Which Google store files are you talking about?
And if you had access to them, being a beginner, what would you be looking for, and what would you change, again, that a factory reset did not achieve ?
Unbelievable !
I flashed last stock rom but problem continues.
I check manually most days, and just update any that are sitting waiting
Not sure if there is like a set time period it waits before auto updating, but the notifications for available updates will likely only happen if you disable auto updates, otherwise it has no reason to tell you there are updates waiting, it will/should just update them and tell you once it's done
So try this:
1. Disable auto updates in Google Play settings
2. Wait for a few days until there are some updates available
See if you get notifications
If yes, try this:
1. Enable Auto updates in Google Play
2. Wait a full week without manually updating, see if they auto update

Samsung Galaxy Tab E (SM-T377P) - Activation Loop

I have a set of Sprint Tab E devices that seem to be getting stuck in an activation loop. These were all used so I have no idea what the previous owner did with them. When I boot into download mode, it shows 0x0 by the Knox Warranty indicator so it appears the fuse hasn't been tripped.
The device turns on, goes into activation, says it needs to reset, wash rinse repeat. Any ideas on what could cause this and how I might be able to fix it?
I also have another set that appears to activate but does not connect to LTE. I think these have had the software flashed at one point because the home screen after factory reset has a different background than the ones I've had that were good. I have not tried flashing anything as of yet.
Thanks for any and all advice, direction, etc!
I have found a solution to the activation loop for anyone who needs it.
Step 1: Ask Sprint care to do an OMADM Refresh. It can’t be any other kind of refresh. Must refresh OMA specifically.
Step 2: Reset the activation on the device:
1. Go to Apps -> Calculator (By default, Calculator app is located in Samsung folder) then type (+30012012732+
2. Dial ##72786#
3. Tap Yes
The device will activate once more. May loop once as well. Then it will stop looping.
For the tablets not connecting to LTE, I reflashed the stock software to the tablet and they now activate and connect to data. This created a new problem with google play services. When I try to access any of the google apps (play store, gmail, etc.) I get an error stating that google play services has stopped working. I've tried all of the following:
1) Clear cache and data of both google play store and google play services.
2) uninstall updates of google play store and google play services.
3) clear cache of google play framework
4) download and install latest google play services (not even sure if it was the right one. Tried armeablev07 no dpi.
5) factory reset (this stuck me in the "checking for updates" stage on one with google play services constantly shutting down. won't be trying this again)
I am completely at a loss at this point. My next step is to try rooting the device and uninstalling google play services all together then reinstalling with a fresh APK then removing root and/or flashing back to stock ROM. My concern is that this will tick the knox indicator and i'd prefer to keep it intact if at all possible.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
For anyone that can understand this, here is the logcat file from when I attempt to sign in to the google play store. Any ideas what is happening here?
