How is the update?

Which region/branding is this? I don't have this one (1274-1558) in my list and I cannot find it anywhere online.

Morocco
the only country got the 2.67 FW for now. I checked my EMMA.

dont worry u will still get 4G...
u should be able to use use *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone Information -> LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)

Okey, I am going to flash this FW later. Need some sleep first, haha..
How is this ROM compared to .244 firmware when it comes to 1) performance, 2) battery and 3) camera performance?

can anyone post any impressions on this rom?
Any new things that you've noticed?
How's the battery?

updated yesterday. The camera takes a little longer to load ( 2 seconds give or take)
havent fully tested for the battery.
The camera seems to find the targets much faster, photos seems sharper and hold more detail than before.
Audio seems unchanged, so is decent but not great.
the UI is fluid as ever, and all in all havent noticed any bugs on this one. A nifty update if you ask me.

I wonder if is it possible to use the stock wifi driver on DooMKernel on this version now?
For some reason all custom kernel that use Prima Wifi alter the MAC address of my device.
I have to flash back to stock kernel to get the original MAC address.

Yes, and some people have been complaining that the download speeds were too slow and asked me to upload it elsewhere.
Also, this is an FTF that I created myself and that does not contain the TA files (like it should be).
What's the point of your reply anyway?

Just curious as to whether there are any differences between the two... The other BE worked perfect for me, zero issues.

Yes, as long as you flash it to a C6603 (which you have), you will get future updates through all of the official channels (PC and OTA). Probably you will even receive future updates faster, because 'Generic BE' is usually one of the first to be updated.

Download 4.2.2 uk generic unbranded , and flash via Flashtool . Please check wipe cache and data in Flashtool!

Download both parts to the same folder, then extract this split RAR archive (using WinRAR, 7-Zip, WinZip, ...) and you will get one big FTF file which you can flash with Flashtool.
Also, don't forget to uncheck 'DATA' under 'Wipe' in Flashtool if you want to keep the data and settings on the internal memory of your phone (otherwise a factory reset will be performed).

In general, Dev-Host is faster than those hosts. Also, you are looking at an old firmware version. The most recent one is 10.4.1.B.0.101.

Many thanks for the uploader Apollo89,After do many times installed with some errors occured, finally i have successfully installed the stock ROM 10.4.B.0.569 Generic BE (Unbranded/Belgium) on my Xperia Z LTE. Now my XZ looks VERY GREAT and AWESOME, i think the screen is much brighter than before i use the 4.1.2 stock ROM.

Sony Mobile has confirmed that the latest Android 4.3 firmware update for the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra has started to roll out.
Build version 14.2.A.1.136 started to roll out a couple of days ago for the Xperia Z1
Sony says that Apart from Bug Fixes, the new update brings Improvements to the Display with the addition of a White balance setting. In addition there is now support for Bluetooth Music Streaming as well as eMail and Wi-Fi Improvements.

Just disconnect and start again, it will resume...all files are stored in windows system folder named "sony"

Tried it. Din work. I remember long back (sony mini days) the same thing use to happen mostly because of corrupted download. Sony saves the download somewhere ..and if you delete it, it starts the download fresh and it will work. Cant seen to find the location.

Sony SUS can update you to latest version in US
I have Unbranded C6903 in USA and I used SUS to update and it worked.

No it will not. I just did via sus.
Whenever there is an update two options come in sus, one says "software update" and other one says "full internal wipe"...choose the first one.
I always update via sus never did via pcc.

It's 4G same as UK firmware... Central Europe has LTE
BTW, there's NO extra crap added in this FW, it's GENERIC... Only 1 extra app but you can uninstall it....

Any performance increase in new update?

might be my imagination but my screen looks brighter and more vibrant
Camera in low light is almost noise free (no flash)
random apps no longer open when I close the camera

I added a root zip download link for the Z5 E6633 in the video descritpion! rooting works now also with your model
but you need a unlocked bootloader and you have to download a custom recovery with twrp for the e6633 of course!

which region ftf files are these?

I created myself rooted N zip, I can't boot up TWRP via fastboot boot boot.img with my TWRP included kernel..

Latest Flashtool v0.9.23.1 hangs when trying to CREATE my FTF file in the first place! I wish I could get as far as the flash process...

I live in Austria and use Customized AU... 4G/LTE works fine

my thread only provides ftf files for E6653 and E6683 at the moment
