An O2 account manager told me that they expect to release the new ROM with MSFP and presumably A2DP / AKU2 today, no sign on the my-xda.com site yet though.

New ROM is now on o2 website. You have to type valid IMEI and o2 mobile number for download...

I've just been to http://www.my-xda.com/xdaminis_soft3.html and the ROM isn't there - the launch ROM is the only one showing...?
Once you've entered the IMEI code it directs you to here

But gives a file not found. Guess they're still updating the web pages.

Okay, I see they've not updated the page I clicked above, but if you go to the main page the links are there.
The 50Mb EXE file downloads as 4K though, so somebody clearly jumped the gun when updating the page.
I can only see the file : Launch ROM v 1.5.4.102 (49.0 MB) ??????

In Germany we have the problem, that o2 have never released a rom since some for the XDA I and II. No one for the III / Mini / Mini S. And i think this Rom won't be available in germany too.
O2 has a very bad update politic.
Contacted O2 with regards to Costs for using push email, and they inform me that its only the amount of GPRS data you use (Personal user not business).
But they include 1Mb free with every tariff and anything additional is £3 per Mb.
Is this the correct information ? Sometimes customer services do give out wrong information.
can someone post the direct link to the update as when i put in my imei number and phone number, the site just keeps resetting back to the start. i ported my number from orange so don't know if they recognise it as a o2 number.

Is this rom that different to Qtek as I can see the radio etc is the same its just the extended rom that is newer, and that is prob just full of O2 crap that no-one needs.

I've got a V1605 and I'm wondering what vodafone in the UK are doing for web based support for this product?
It's not listed at http://www.vodafonehelp.co.uk/DeviceHelp.php?e=0 so I'm wondering where they publish ROM Updates and the like.
I can't find any info for the V1640/Universal either...
Vodafone on phone support don't know where to go either and suggest to go to the qtek site... which won't support vodafone variants...

Vodafone UK and Web-based support and not phrases that I would use in the same breath! There is currently nothing for the TyTN (V1605) that I am aware of, and the published update for the Exec (V1640) is on a Vodafone Germany website (yes, it is the English update, just hosted there). Details of the V1640 update are elsewhere in the forums.
Regarding the link that you posted.... are you absolutely sure that was the link you wanted to paste? HP, StorageTools and Fibre are not anything to do with HTC devices.... :roll:

I have just noticed that Google have released a Blackberry application for their Google Mail Hosted service for domains.
They suggest users visit m.google.com/a on their Blackberry for further info.
This doesn't work on a Hermes device, as the browser is recognized as not being a Blackberry.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use this (or some other way) to access GMail *hosted* accounts using push in some way?

Unless anyone knows how to fake the User Agent in an http request, to fool Google into thinking that I'm using a Blackberry browser? That may trick the site into allowing me to download the app and grab the correct URL of the file...

ok, i went ahead and did some playing around. first i changed my firefox user agent to blackberry, went to the site. it made me download a small java descriptor (attached). that linked to a JAR download location which i downloaded.
it does not install though, says failed to install midlet.
I need some help on how to manage my sprint pcs account online using my mogul.

use the opera browser and under settings it has a section that says brodcast device as: and you can choose from mobile device or desktop, choose desktop. this is not free (24 USD) but has a free trial.

Been using my G1 in China for a few months now. The great firewall redirects all www.google.com requests to www.google.cn. Google China has filtered results so the search is pretty much useless. Is there an alternative URL or parameters that will allow me to connect to the US google search engine?
Heres an american IP for google. 74.125.67.100 it will probably be filtered but its worth a try
