Super Noob Compatibility Question - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hey all, sorry for the noob question but I figured that asking and risking being flamed is still better than bricking my device lol.
I was just wondering if with my SGH-i337M (from Bell in Canada) is still compatible for roms offered to the SGH-i337 (AT&T in USA).
I'm already rooted and just looking into some custom roms, but I notice that some don't specifically offer "jflte___" (whatever the Canadian name would be) and only offer "jflteatt" for example.
I just want to make sure that it'd be safe for me to flash to those rom packages.
Also, please correct me if I'm wrong with my research in finding that "jflte___" = Galaxy S4 LTE ... I still don't understand what the JF means, but I think I'm right???
Thanks a bunch ahead of time for any help you can offer me!

Ah sorry about that... was thinking general is general discussion, won't make that mistake in the future.

Any questions, please post them in the correct thread. No need in duplicating previous threads.
Good Luck Mate.

Well, it's better to post in the Q&A with questions.
However, most have probably already been answered, so it's better to use the "search" feature first before creating a new thread.
Most issues, when it comes to changing bootloaders, you should be able to find the answer in either the Bootloader Guide thread, or the Bootloader Thread itself.
If you can't find the answer, then post in the Guide Thread, or the Bootloader Thread. If nobody can answer it, or doesn't answer, then you can create a new thread in Q&A.
Folks around her are generally helpful. I ran most of the Trolls away a few months ago
My best advise. Get your UID number before you even start. Write it down somewhere. We have a guide on how to do that.
Always read the guides. These were written by people who have been at the new unlocked bootloader and 3.2 and ICS from the very beginning. We did the original testing for most of this stuff a long time ago.

Thanks a lot! Very helpful.

One more advice.
When you post questions, and people help you (whether right , or it just didn't work), it's a custom to select the "Thanks" button near their post (reply). It's a nice thing to do. You will find the "Thanks" button located under the user's Avatar.
You are allowed to use the Thanks button 5 times each day I believe.
Welcome to the A500/501 forums!

my A501 arrives today, my goal is to end up with Thor's JB ROM on it. I have a "little" experience from running custom roms on my Motorola Defy, but that bootloader thread is really doing my head in.
I've found this which as a newbie totally makes sense to me and is a great guide for starters.

Hopefully I can figure out the Bootloader part ok, or could someone recommend a particular bootloader with the end goal of using JB in mind perhaps?

It totally does. But first you take your i337 and put it in a blender with the i9505 ROM. Oh, and before you ask how to get the ROM into the blender, just hit print screen on the page with the ROM you want.
Anyway, put them both in, add a little sacrificial blood, two dollops of creme fraîche, and blend on maximum for about 4 minutes. Take the resultant ooze, bake it in the oven at about 375 degrees for 2 hours.
And there you have it! I9505 roms on your i337!
Now other people in the various other threads discussing this might talk about recoveries, and loki, and kernels or whatever... But honestly, my method is much simpler, quite a bit tastier, and guaranteed to work every time.
Moral of the story? Search before posting, and especially before making new threads.

This is absolutely the wrong forum to post this in. This is for ORIGINAL development work like ROMs and recoveries. Even if someone was able to provide you with what you are looking for, it would not be original, and it also would not belong in this forum.
Thread has been moved. Guys in the future if you see a post in the incorrect forum please use the report button [the little triangle] and just report the thread for moving. Thanks.

Why did you link that? Is that relevant to the OP? He asked a question in the Q&A, Help, & Troubleshooting thread. Seems like the rules for posting in DEVELOPMENT apply to every thread with your logic.

It's because he posted that BEFORE this was moved to the Help and Q&A form. OP originally posted this in development.

No worries. We're all human!
Some people tried sm-g900v marshmallow root and succeed with one click rooting software, you may try if you are not very good at this rooting stuff.
