the tv output feature via a regular mhl adapter ? or do i need to revert back to one of the stock touchwiz based roms ?

I know HID full support is coming in ver 3.0 however I was wondering what the status is for current Android like Cyanogen Mod Gingerbread ROMS??
I can only get USB audio working w/ my DAC on a custom AOSP/CyanogenMod ROM but not any of the custom Touchwiz ROMs. Is this a kernel issue? If so, any touchwiz kernels support USB audio?
I'm on custom SACS 4.3 ROM w/ KT kernel.

Hi guys,
I've just flashed a custom ROM (Cyanogenmod 12.1 Snapshot) and I want to use the MHL to HDMI. Will it still work? Lots of people on xda say it won't work because its a TouchWIz thing.
My device:
Galaxy S4 GT-i9505
Rooted with CM12.1
I'm pretty sure that a custom kernel can solve this?

Googling brings up the result that the S4 Micro-USB port is also an MHL output port.
Is there a ROM or kernel which enables usb otg ethernet connection to an ethernet port for internet access?
Any of the CM ROMs support this? (As pure stock android has this feature/asix drivers)
Alternately is there a pure stock L ROM available for the G2 D801?
