those are fake there just for props

Just to point here for people to see and not to post such questions.
X-ray require Heavy stuff that is only Legal for certain places like Airport security and hospitals
It is IMPOSSIBLE to use X-ray on a camera
Maybe after 10 years X-ray can be available as portable devices

It will definitely not work. All those apps are pure jokes

No you can't see naked people with xray apps on google glass :|

Need to water proof my vibrant

in a week I'm gonna be going to a concert. I need to get my phone waterproof prior to the concert. I'm gonna go cheap easy and efficient. my initial idea was use 2 condoms just to prevent liquid from getting in on the phone. then I started to think I'll need the camera to take pictures and video but theres condoms covering the camera and taking away from the clarity. Its there any easy easy way to achieve this.

Yes! Haha classic
Isnt there lube in most condoms ? Wouldn't that mess up something? It's been a while since I used one, probably explains my three kids existing

Yes, most do. But, you can get "dry" condoms. Problem with those is that they really aren't clear.
Double seal ziploc bag would do the OP better.
(see, this post/thread has nothing to do with modding...hehe)
Yeah.. I was going to say not go the the ones with lube lol...
That would be funny
A good clean Saran Wrap job may work. Its Cheap to try. Test it out. It may cost you a few feet of clear plastic wrap. a couple layers may do the trick
shrink wrap like you put over your window in the winter time at least those of us who live up north

Funny but you might have better luck burning the seams closed with a lighter rather than trusting the ziplock itself old school baggie style

A vacuum sealer (the ones for food)...they heat seal. Or dip it in hot wax. (No seriously...don't do that).

yeah, shrink wrap would work well. I used to mess with one at my old job, if you find a place that shrink wraps, they might even be nice and just do it for you, I imagine you can still use the touch screen without difficulty too. What on EARTH is intended to happen at this concert? I've been to a few with my vibrant and it was never at any risk of being submerged in water?? Ha

Well, sounds like all he wants to do is avoid it getting wet from rain. And it would do the trick. But, these would do it even better. I know for a fact that these work, as I have used them before when kayaking.

so no one noticed that the Gorilla Glass has come away from the chassis? don't believe me? look at the top right hand edge of the device, the glass has gone translucent, and if you quickly pause, you'll notice a line running down both left, and right edges of the glass, at first i thought it was the chrome bezel... it's not... explains speeding the video up, hides these mistakes. TBH still a good case, but throwing it off the roof of a building is a tad extreme.

That is a bubble in the screen protector and the edges of the screen protector, not damage to the glass.

Quartz is really high on the hardness scale, only other quartz or harder materials can scratch it. I would check your pockets for sand!
Cats de-clawed so I guess its good to go..
I can finally justify my Xoom purchase with my significant other. The cat's birthday is next week so I will just say it was for her
I was going to wait on a cat and get the official Motorola one when it released but I went ahead and got one from Hong Kong instead. She looks the same on the outside but I think a few wires are crossed on the inside...

Good look getting anything to happen on that resistive touch screen, also, resistive screens are usually matt / non-slippery, watch it get ripped to shreds in an hour.
The fishing game doesn't run to well on my xoom. Doesn't matter anyway, my cat isn't too interested in the other two games. She sniffs the screen, looks, then walks away...

Cat doesn't seem to mind at all. As a matter of fact it thinks it still has claws. We laugh at it when it tries to tear up the couch. We say look at little man go..
Getting the cat de-clawed was money well spent. I have one that isn't (too old now) and it is constantly tearing **** up. I like nice stuff and not going to give in to a cat that is ripping all my **** apart.
I bought a Gorilla glass couch from lKEA.

True but the rain would interupt with the capacitive screen making it nearly impossible to use in the rain anyway.
But this does look promising. Hope it starts rolling out on devices this year!

To be honest I haven't noticed that, but considering the fear of getting the bloody thing wet im not surprised.
Not dying in the wet it half way towards usable in the wet at least
(and considering when we get rain over here, we really get rain, bloody hell!)
(Also that's a stupidly good movie, gotta love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost)

Is outdoor visibility - real issue or no?

Can anyone comment on this topic? Reviews on sites seem to really knock the outdoor visibility with these watches so I just wanted some opinions from some real users. It seems reviews continue to knock these devices but a lot of individual reviews from users on sites seem to praise the device and people just seem real happy with them. What's your guys take on this? I'm going to be picking up the Gear Live but it seems both have this issue.
Also for any Gear users, feel free to chime in about the charging method. That seems to be talked about a lot as well but sometimes you never know with these official review sites. I value actual users opinions more.

All the reviews that state the watch face is hard to see outside are stupid. It's obviously hard to see when the screen is dimmed, but as soon as you tilt your wrist and the screen turn on you can see it perfectly even in the brightest sunlight.
Yeah I figured a lot of them over exaggerate that topic. I mean my phone is hard to see in direct sunlight. These types of screens will always be difficult.

If your phone is hard to see in sunlight that sucks, my S5 is perfectly bright and easy as hell to see. But my Gear Live definitely is not a problem what so ever in sunlight, I love it.

It's not bad, but of course it's not the same as if it was cloudy out. There is no phone where the visibility isn't slightly decreased in the direct sun. But we can still see the phone to use most importantly. But regardless, that is good to know about the gear live. I really want this watch. How do you feel about the charger port? Everyone keeps saying wait for the 360, but you know what, its August 1st and no announcement has been made. I'm tired of waiting and want to join in on the fun.
I honestly have no problem wit my S5 in direct bright as hell sunlight... But I love it personally. Got a messaging app for wear and now I barely use my phone for texting haha. Charging is painless IMO, I don't get the big deal people have with it.

I find performance in the rain to be more of an issue.
While trying to track my rides with Strava the rain often closes the app, swipes away cards and generally plays hell with the watch.
There are a couple of screen lock apps but then you can't actually unlock the screen with wet fingers.

How would a screen protector help? Water is simply highly conductive so that's why the watch goes all crazy. Only way to avoid it is to keep it dry or at least make sure there is no water connecting the touch screen with your skin

It was just a suggestion. Some screen protectors actually decrease the sensitivity of the screen. We Dont notice it really but maybe it would help prevent a couple rain drops from messing with the screen. Doesn't matter though lol. Not sure how in the future they can correct this besides your suggestions.

Theres a few phones that are actually designed for you to be able to use underwater. When they recognize water they change the input method from capacitive to pressure I doubt anyone is going to do that on the watch though. And about the screen protectors: If they lower the sensitivity you will run into problems when it's not raining xD

I thought about the G watch but absolute no best buy has that in stock. So sense they're basically the same watch, I'll just opt in for the cheaper one. Plus at night when my watch is displaying the time, I just want the time to light up. Don't like the idea that the whole screen still lights up. But I still want to try the G watch. Maybe they'll get them in at some point.

That sucks, my nearby Best Buys all have plenty in stock (last I looked a few days ago). Why not just order one from the website? The only real reason I went with the G Watch is because of the magnetic charger...much, much better than the Live's. I do wish it had an OLED display though. But this is just supposed to hold me over to the moto360, provided it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
