hey guys.. i got the korean version of S4 E300L. today there was a software update of 347 mb. i did that and now the build number reads: JDQ39.E300LKLUAMG2 . i was pretty unsure whether it is the latest firmware or not. then i checked with kies and seems that it is the latest update. now i need to root it to remove the unnecessary korean apps. but i cannot figure out how. can anyone please help me how to root it?

I had a wile back rooted this Samsung S4, so im guessing is the knox sotware that is doing this.
I heard that we can force the update using Odin, Just dont know how.
Can it be done?

This title appeared coz you rooted your device. You will have to download, unzip and flash the same firmware that you are using (HERE) via ODIN for receive future updates via OTA.
Galaxy S5 G900F. No lollipop update available.
Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F with the baseband version G900FXXU1ANCE (if that's important). My phone's running on 4.4.2 ever since i got it and the lollipop update has been out for i dont know how long. But whenever i go to the device's settings and go to auto update , it always says "Latest updates have already been installed'. The same thing happens when I connect it with Samsung Kies. I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy series and i need help to get it updated to Lollipop. Everyone i Know who has an S5 has updated theirs to Lollipop but I can't seem to get mine to update. Even the people online on Samsung Support Chat were saying that they can't help me which is weird. Can anyone please help me upgrade my phone? Do i need to root it or something? Or is there another way to install an update?
My phone is Unlocked but is unrooted. Please help me. Thank you.

This is my first try and I have read alot of threads but I am getting confused so wanted some clarification may be with screenshots would be great.

To clarify: Stock means unchanged ROMs, you in fact are now on the latest stock ROM for your device and carrier (AT&T and TouchWiz).
Since AT&T locked the device bootloaders, it's impossible to flash Google ROMs on it (that version needs a different kernel and that's where the bootloader comes into play).
Thanks for the clarification. I prob. misspoke in that case. I wanted to install custom ROM but one which is out of the box given by google without all the samsung apps and stuff. Prob similar to what is on Nexus at this point.
