hmm well i want to underclock it to redect heat and battery and btw many things
i want to know is it possible to underclaock the GPU not cpu
i currently underclaocked cpu using system tuner and turned it to 1ghz btw im not sure if its on the powerful ones or the other ones! btw after underclaocking to 1ghz it still runs freaking fast! also freaking cold! i wanted to know if i can undercloack GPU too and maybe know wich cpu im on!

Use persues kernal from original devlpmnt it should do all that u want

Its just fine as long as ur device is working smooth and fast do not go for Scores as it depends all the times with various factors

u right btw the only thing lags is camera and gallery they HORRIBLY lag only at start like it takes 10 seconds to load gallery and 10sec to load camera! btw also 1 time it restart after starting camera other things are fine! btw guess not smooth as nexus 4 i had before changed it coz of vendor mistake btw i love this phone

Try to update the phone to current firmware for camera and gallery issue there myte also be a little delayed incase u have a sd card and its less in terms of class like 2/4 etc
oh u right i got a class 4 stupid sd card i fidned it somewhere in home seems it was forom a old camera btw my father ells me i will get u and 32-64gb when u got out of space but he doesn't know thats 4
i think it wasent like that befor sd card THINK i can't remmbe well but i temmber some day i turend camera it freezed for about 20 sec and restarted
and oh my s4 the alaxy s4 i9500 logo the black ad white just appears not like others sawed in youtube.. (it appears whit a effect from top - to bottom

Since the day one I think i got a "broken" phone, why? it seems like any rom i install runs slower in my device than in any of you here, i can't oc too much, i always get from 250-450 less points in the benchmarking.
It really frustrates me, yesterday i almost broke (im a pacific man) my phone from a punch, I think I will just install a 2.1 or 2.2 for daily use and let it with just the minimal needed apps, it gets on my nervs too much.
So yeah, if you could share your experience so I can compare...

Sometimes my phone stops responding for minutes. I get that angry that I flash a different ROM.and it becomes even worse every month I think but hey I just don't care for now. It is not a high end phone.
Today my phone stopped being able to do anything Facebook app is too heavy battery pull is the only way to get it back working but on the other hand I'm typing this now and my phone actually responds like a stock one you'll have to live with that. And benchmarking isn't the world, my CPU scores are getting lower every Mark like grift's ..

I can relate, i have a p500 optimus t which is a optimus one i guess. Owned it for like 3-4 yrs now just around 3 1/2 4 yrs into owning it i found out i could update it to GB 2.3.3. I did that and i really didnt understand the change other than the look. Plus i was told that my phone wasnt able to be updated from 2.2.2 by the tmobile techs "Well, yea it can bub" lmao but i see many flaws p500 has with speed, i try to understand the roms and now i see the differents, going on youtube and watching people overclock and playing highly rated fps games on the same phone i have...WTF how can i do it. I follow their instructions, but i take it that its not to the T. I still end up unable to overclock it right and not able to match their performance ON THE SAME DARN PHONE!!! So i ended giving up for a while cuz i wanted to throw the phone into the trash but now i can relax cuz im starting to understand it more. :laugh:

I think the thing that is happening to you is because OC has degraded your processor... My phone have 1.5 years old and mantains the same speed and even gets better with newest and more optimized roms (ex. sdsl)+scripts and some tweaks. I don't use OC or swap... I only used a little OC for the first versions of ICS, then nothing. With swap on ICS I feel that my phone is slower than without. Yes, i have less app-kills but restoring apps from swap on sd is too slow (on my class 4 SD card) :/

yeah i had a gt540 for one year and so far no lagg. i am using stock 2.1 rooted and i reckon stock is the best
rom out there. i havent flashed for a long time so i decided to flash ICS today and see how it goes.
If your phone starts feeling laggy or slow just flash a KDZ rom to it and it will be normal again.
Almost all problems are solved when u flash a KDZ rom.

Why would you want to do so? It's fast enough as it is. But to answer your question yes. When you can do it. No idea.

It will be for sure possible but remember that the device already throttles on stock speed.

Yes, you can Overclock it. 2.1 GHz should be great (and maybe 22 GHz)

Seriously guys. No matter how much we clock our s4's. We know that the real life result is actually what matters. I am not very happy to tell you guys that iphone5 with 2 cores runs smoother and opens apps faster than my s4. Specially the camera , dialer and gallery app. However when it comes to in app load times and raw processing, the s4 has the edge.
I am already having overheat issues on my i9500. Can't even think about over clocking it. Instead, I was think of some under clock.

that has to do with android OS not samsung everything u open it first time , reopen it see how fast it will be

If we talk about cpu temp then I can't tell you but even the battery temp reaches above 55 to 60 for some users. In real life usage. It gets too hot to place it against our ear for a call.

Both S4 versions have plenty of power. I'm more interested in undervolting for extra battery life.

Hi everybody
my note 4-exynos has been unpdated to lillipop ,
I tried some bentchmark apps and all the scores are lower than my previous phone ( note 3 - snapdragon )
also tried a custom kernel ( ultimate kernel ver.20 ) and the antutu score is still about 32000-33000 !!!
i tried to change the governor and change but still the same ...
tried to factory reset and flash the lillipop again , but the score is still to looooow :crying:
what should i do ? what is the problem !!

Benchmark scores are first of all meaningless, don't get upset if the score is low. Those scores mean ****e.
Still, as you are concerned, well, those scores are related with hardware as you can guess, and that hardware need to be cool to give you better scores. So don't keep running Antutu, leave the phone for half an hour or so (when nothing is running on background) and then run it. A hot device can never achieve high scores, never.

Are you ****ing serious or what...??? Benchmarks DON"T MEAN ANYTHING! If your phone is a fake then you can check it by downloading some apps like CPU-Z and Phone INFO from the play store...post pics here so that we can see.
lolipop has a GPU bug... I have the same issue... scoring around 43k. First time when I installed lolipop I got 52k then got the bug (don't know how). I reflashed 4.4 then lolipop thousand times with same results.

The captcha isn't the whole sentence, I believe they ask for the numbers which are shown in the captcha.
And benchmarks don't say anything imo, its just a number. Better just test a game like Real Racing 3, if it runs smooth you won't have any problems.

You reflashed you firmware so many times just to get higher numbers in some benchmark app...?Seriously, I think you got a problem.
Man i have the same problem here it after the update seems that the phone is always in power saving mode and the gpu is limited to 350 mhz instead of 700 mhz. Also the cpu runs at 1.3 ghz instead of 1.9 for the big cores thats why it has low score in antutu hope somebody figures out a solution and also this is a bug in this update

Yeah, the gpu throttles quickly, that's what I have noticed. I have let my phone cool down and I got 54600 in AnTuTu. The problem is there when the chipset is working at high load. KitKat had throttling limit pushed further so there were no issues with performance. Lollipop seems to have introduced more limits to the gpu because the cpu actually seems to be performing better than before.
Well, this review is based on my opinion so... let's start.
Motorola finally release his 5.1 soak test for us and, me, i was very anxious to test it, when i've installed it, i was a bit disappointed...
First thing i noticed is the smoothness, analysing it closely i noticed that it's not so smooth like CM12.1... changing launcher to NOVA doesn't even help, the system is a bit laggy, even if you overclock your CPU for max speed you can feel some lag... applock doesn't work here i don't know why and on games, the performance is good as CM12.1, but the fluidity on the system is not good, but hey, it's just a test version, let's hope that the final OTA doesn't come with these problems... and i almost forgot, the battery is really good on soak test.
And if you are reading this, let your review here :good:
I dont know what soak test you tried, but mine, is 100% smooth, battery life is the same like other roms, the system, is amazing how smooth is it. You should wipe data and start again like i did... The only problem i have is the memory for apps..
@jonaaa Honestly no system slowdowns yet seriously same as CM 12.1 it's fluid for me, i like Cm more coz of features like that and battery is better in CM for me, Dialer part is not good in CM for Multi Sim users especially Sim selection/switching and calling Animations is fluid in Stock..... Sim selection problems in CM Sometimes the SIM Selection box disappears fast before selecting the sim that we want to call, so i have to tap again the contact to make a call( This only Happens when calls ask everytime ) yeah applocks doesn't work on Cleanmaster Applock work i don't know why..... We are using ur backup and we don't have slowdowns

You can't go over 1,19ghz, it would crash the system, the max you can do is to force the phone to run on max speed.

Try restarting in safe mode. It worked for me.
@ OP : Battery is draining like crazy. And the UI is not at all fluid.

I agree with battery, but not with the UI, the battery is "normal"... I think it will be fixed in final ota
hi guys , im just have a big problem with my Galaxy S5 G900h version , im just seeing around the web that everyone has better performance than what i get from my phone , i just installed a fresh BOD4 android 5 rom on my phone , i did all the wiped , my phone on full charge but still my benchmark on antutu is on 33000 or less , , all the guys with the same rom getting like over 42000 on this S5 , its not the only benchmark , i get lags on some games like hungry shark !!! what is the problem ?!! how can i increase this performance , can u tell me whats is the fastest rom for this S5 or is there any kernel to make it faster ? but honestly i prefer to get the same performance as the other guys get on stock rom not the custom one

The people who get high scores on benchmarks usually run benchmark right after flashing fresh rom...they dont have any other apps running. S5 lags sometimes its normal (Esp on powersaving mode)

Switch of your phone let it be for say ten min
Switch it on and dont open any app for give min
Run the benchmark and share the results
Also don't use any memory or battery saving app
