Picasa sync always on.. Even when off

I'm at a lose here... Typically you can go into your Google Accounts settings, disable Photo-Sync, clear your gallery app data and your picasa crap is gone from the gallery and syncing is over. (like it should be)
I just noticed though.. Even if you have photo sync disabled.. It's still 100% live and syncing..
This is a 100% fresh factory image flash.. So the device is clean except whatever Google wants on it.
Photo sync disabled right?

Go to app settings / force stop gallery / clear data gallery
Launch gallery
Cool right? Empty like it should be but... Refresh it.
And those folders are 100% live.. If I upload a photo via my PC. It will show on the handset..
Open your Galley app
Click your Menu Button
Go to Settings
Click on "Google photo sync is on" and disable it
*Next step requires root*
Open "Root Browser" or other file browser and find your way to:
data/data/com.google.android.gallery3d/
And delete the
/cache
and
/databases
Open your Settings app
go to "Apps"
Find "Gallery"
Force stop and Clear Data.
Re-open Gallery and it should be all sweet Worked for me
Cheers,
Luke

Been there done that Luke.. Do this.. Hit the 3 dots in the gallery, and then refresh.. Wait a few seconds and watch all your Picasa folders return and live again.. It will still say photo sync is off in the settings etc but the deleted folders will be rebuilt and it will be syncing again even though it's completely turned off off. It's one of the worst bugs ever..
Did you freeze Picasa Uploaded in Titanium? That's what worked for me.
lol I used titanium backup and remove Picasa Uploader.. I uninstalled a bunch of apps I dont even use.. mostly google apps, the live wallpapers and so on..
Did you try to clear gallery's data after unchecking photo-synchronisation?
Go to picasaweb.google.com and delete the folders there.. Done

If you have rooted device then use TitaniumBackup app to uninstall the google default apps to stop unwanted services
I have also done that with my Galaxy Y Duo as its RAM is just 290 MB and cannot afford google service framework and its services.
Let me know if this work for you....

Try disabling Android Device Manager from google settings app. Also from google settings app go to location and turn off location reporting and location history. Make sure that location is set on battery saving mode. It is not recommended to freeze or uninstall play/google services as it may cause problems with device (many of stock apps like google play, gmail, etc. are dependent on them).

Simtoolkit error message in moto x style

Hello everyone. First time post here. I hope you guys can help me in this problem
I bought my moto x style on launch. Everything is flawless except one thing. I receive a message saying simtoolkit connect to server? Pressing yes or no won't change anything. The message appears randomly and it is annoying.
I have tried factory reset. Getting a new sim but it still comes.
attached a screenshot.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I noticed there is no simtoolkit app in the app drawer as well.
I also tried to play around with apns, and the problem is still here
One more thing: although the simtoolkit app is not in the app drawer, however it is active in the settings/apps tab, and I could disable and delete data but still the message is there
Anyone can help guys?
I just added the picture properly. could not add it before because of the 10 post limit. :good:

The big thing that eats up battery are the background processes. I found that app "Recently" by Chainfire and CF Lumen eat up my battery in the background - 5-10% overnight (8 hours sleep);

common battery hogging culprits? What is crc7

can anyone suggest services like AASA services, ANT+HAL, beaming service etc. to disable? i know that 'Android System' will always use up x% of battery but would like to minimise that as much as possible
Also, i want to know if im on crc7/crd7. im not sure what exactly they are. my baseband version says AQH3 at the end, dunno if that means anything
You can disable bixby services except bixby voice so phone still knows there is a button and install bxactions. Set it up with adb commands and have an additional button for your common actions and save battery with the bixby gone. You can also try disabling facebook and all services that come with it (everything contains facebook in package name) and use another 3rd oarty facebook feed client if you use it. Stock facebook app is a serious drainer.

thanks for the quick reply, but i have done quite a lot of research so ive optimised my phone in the aspects uve mentioned.
ive mapped the bixby button to go to home (go back with 2 presses, and app switcher with long press) and disabled all bixby services
ive deleted all facebook related things and instead use samsung internet to check my feed
You can try that, but sometimes it opens automatically after reboot. Be sure to keep that off.
