Can anyone help me?

I don't know for sure, but I think it will be difficult (or let's say not worth it). You will need to find that apk (provided it is actually an apk), decompile it, find the text you want to edit inside the strings.xml (if it actually has one) and edit it, recompile it, (maybe you'll need to sign it, too) and then hope that it works (at least that's me when I try to edit apks).
I don't think it's just a text file that you edit, but I could be wrong. You can wait for more experienced users. For that, I suggest posting this in the general android forum's appropriate sub-forum. (not here in the HD2 section). You will get more responses there.
EDIT:
Done a little search and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344399
Not sure if it's applicable to the version of android you're running, but it's worth a shot. It also tells you where the text is.

The attached zip file has 2 exe files in it. Just unzip it and copy both files to your device. It's pretty obvious from the name what each of the files does, but you need to restart your device for the changes to take effect. (Please note - this will only turn off the default windows lockscreen. If you've got a different one installed this will not affect it.)
Basically, run lockscreen_disable and restart your device. You can run lockscreen_enable at a later date if you ever need to turn the lockscreen back on.
Hope it helps mate

You can either unzip the 2 files (both exe files) and copy them to your phone, or copy the zip file to the phone and unzip it there. Either way doesn't matter.
Once unzipped, you click the exe file of your choice and it runs, but you won't see anything change till you restart your phone.
I really threw them together quickly, which is why they're so basic, but they should do the trick though
Thanks John. I've been looking for ways to disable my Exchange email policy lockscreen.
Nothing I've seen and tried works so far.

question about cht fix

first of all much thanks for all the awesome work.im a super nube,i didnt even anything like this forum existed until a couple of weeks ago.im trying to install the fix for changing the color of ALL the text in cookies home tab.the fix said to extract the manilla file to \windows(overwrite existing file) and restart sence.i get to the part where i have extracted the manila file but i dont know what to do next.i cant find a \windows option.i appreciate any input and sorry if my nubeness is causing me to miss something obvious.i have a new tmobile hd2.
use a file explorer to copy the file into the \Windows folder.
thanks for the input mastajest but i still cant figure it out.the extracted file is in my documents i long click it and my options are-send via bluetooth, cut, copy ,rename, delete, and send-i choose copy and it goes back to my documents.i back out of my documents and long click windows folder and i get the same options when i long click the extracted file.im not sure what to do next.

joe, can you point me to the thread you're talking about? I'll go check it out and see if I can get you through the steps.
its in the 1st post of the cookies home tab thread you scroll down and there is a part that says known issues and its the fix correcting the text color issue(when you change the text color but not all the text color on the home screen changes to the color you want).i wish i knew how to post a link so you dont have to waste your time searching.im pretty new to all this but learning.i think if i knew the specific file in the windows folder that im suposed to replace with the fix file it would work but there is like a kabillion files in the folder.much thanks for all your help.

Ok, it's simpler than you think lol. That file (5DED22E8_manila) inside the zip you downloaded just needs to be copied to the windows folder...if you do that correctly, you should get a prompt asking if you want to overwrite an existing file, click yes, and then soft-reset.
awesome!that did it.it didnt work at first but that was because i renamed the file to something more recognizable.i deleted it and copy the original file without renaming it and it worked just like you said.thanks for all the help.

No problem, glad it worked!
I should (have) give you fair warning too...be very careful when tinkering with your manila files like this, they're the crucial elements of your Sense interface. I would strongly recommend you make a backup copy of every "manila_" file in your \windows directory, it could save you a hard reset someday if any of them get corrupted along the way

battery mod

Hello,
I found this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765419
and I have some questions about this :
1) Is it possible to "tweak" our framework-res.apk with this battery mod.
2) Can I use this method to "tweak my framework-res.apk : http://circle.glx.nl/
3) When I download my new framework-res.apk, how to boot on recover mode on the phone to put the framework-res.apk on the system ?
4) Do you know an other easylier method to tweak icons on the HD2 under android ?
Thanks a lot !
+1 I asked myself to but no time to seach forum

Ok I think I'll answer this, but bear with me as it's NOT easy or for the faint of heart. If you read this and you DO NOT feel comfortable I would recommend you not giving this a go.
Before you start ANY of these steps below, MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM. I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED FOLLOWING THESE STEPS! You have been warned.
1) Visit the website above and run through the steps to get the battery images you want. For the purposes of this tutorial/howto I am not covering how to change anything else (KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid).
2) The easiest ones to change are the Version A-I ones, just choose which battery set would work best for you on your phone and click "Next"
3) Choose "Do not include icons" and click next. The icons it is talking about here are the signal, wifi, usb etc notification bar icons and as I mentioned I will not cover how to change those here.
4) Leave "Do not change notification status bar" selected and click next. Again I'm not covering that here.
5) You can choose a different boot anim if you want, they are very easy to upload to your phone and you can figure out where they have to be put yourself with no problems. IMPORTANT: If you do change the boot animation, make sure you choose the correct type of rom you have from the dropdown selection.
6) Upload your existing framework-res.apk (using something like DroidExplorer, navigate to /system/framework and paste it onto your desktop, then upload here). This will update the relevant files in your framework-res.apk automatically. (If you cannot obtain your existing framework-res.apk I cannot guarantee method 2 will work, sorry but feel free to try)
7) Replace your framework-res.apk (via DroidExplorer or your chosen ADB browser) on your phone and reboot. Voila!
This worked for me on shubcraft 2.0 drop mode but obviously I cannot guarantee it will work for everyone. Please remember my warnings above that this is not guranteed.

there is another far more complicated way around it, but it really does take about half an hour to work out.
Basically, you need to get your framework-res.apk and extract it with winrar or something similar (an apk is basically just a zip file) and find the folder called res/drawable-HDPI. this is where all the icons for things like your battery icons live.
Copy and paste the new icons from someone elses framework-res or even one you download from the website above into this folder and replace the drawable-HDPI folder into your framework-res.apk, replace it onto your phone and reboot.
Again, this is a quick description of a much lengthier way of doing it but it does work. Also, my disclaimer in the post I made before still stands, do this AT YOUR OWN RISK and do NOT complain to me if something breaks. If you don't fully understand, don't do anything.
I tried the kitchen method, but I receive a huge error log after uploading the framework apk

It doesn't seem to work all that well with frameworks from our current modded builds. I've tried it with a rooted desire framework (from my gf's desire) and that worked. Evidently all the work that the devs do on our hd2's make them very different to other android builds. the second method I posted (adding the png's to your existing framework) works perfectly.

This method will not work with the battery icons which shows all 100% increments. This method will only work for the standard battery icons, which only involves like 12 battery icons.
In order to add the 1% increment readings in the battery, it involves modifying xml files to read and associate the correct battery icons at each increment.
can you give a tut how to add the version a manually?
nvm, I got it!

How to host an .apk file?

Hi!
I've been trying to upload an .apk to my webhost (through ftp) and when I try to download it through the given url, the file doesn't download. Instead I only get text, just as if my host don't understand the file.
Any idea how I can fix this? Is it though .htaccess or what? /:
(I've tried to search this but with no luck)
First off I don't know too much about ftp but from what I do know I would imagine what you want to do would involve the .htaccess file in the apk's directory
My guess would be in the .htaccess file you'd have to edit/add the FilesMatch line
(if that doesn't work it may me just "Files" instead of "FilesMatch" - not sure)
Code:
<FilesMatch "\.(apk)$">
ForceType application/octet-stream
Header set Content-Disposition attachment
</FilesMatch>
Other alternatives I can think of are either:
Change the link from [B]ftp[/B]://your.ftp.org/blah/android.apk to [B]http[/B]://your.ftp.org/blah/android.apk when you give it out - but I realize this kinda defeats the purpose of using a FTP in the first place
Upload the .apk into a zip. That should force the 'save as' dialog
Hopefully this does the trick for you
**I hope this post looks correct - adding the html myself I may have messed up somewhere along the line, if it you see /LIST] or anything like that I'll fix it when I have access to a computer **

Lumia 950/950XL Service level execution

Hi,
I've been able to use vcREG 1.5 on a 950XL to execute any exe file via services.exe, except it's getting stopped by Code Integrity. That's also why putting older NdtkSvc.dll doesn't work on the newer phone (aside from the fact that it has to be in c:\windows). I thought oh maybe any valid arm executable signed by microsoft would be enough, so I copied some executables from the Raspberry Pi Windows 10 IoT image, but I could only get them to run inside the app sandbox because they weren't in the system catalog :'(
Example:
21-March-2016 15:04:08.339601 0x000003D4 0x00000F88 Verbose Microsoft-Windows-CodeIntegrity Code Integrity completed validating file hash. Status 0xC0000428.
21-March-2016 15:04:08.339631 0x000003D4 0x00000F88 Error Microsoft-Windows-CodeIntegrity Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume37\Windows\System32\services.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume39\WPSystem\ftpd.exe that did not meet the Windows signing level requirements.
So now the trick is to find an executable on the system that currently exists, that can be used to gain further access... I've been trying various things like OOBE stuff etc without any luck so far.
Hoping someone else has some ideas... maybe even executing a dll function to import registry from a file or something directly, then we could unlock interop on 950's..
Thanks
Great work
maybe you can MTP your 950/950xl and look for the files in the \windows folder

use vcREG1.5 to edit HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\NlpmService\ImagePath
Change it to whatever executable you want, reboot and it will run as LOCAL SYSTEM, provided that it is signed correctly.
NOTE: Changing this will stop your Glance screen from working, so take note of the original value and restore it after you are done if you use glance.

Actually using MTP isn't the best thing for that, because you are missing out on more than half of the available executable files as they are not viewable via MTP on 950/XL due to permissions. It's best to mount the FFU image and look around that way.
I have already looked and tested most of them, thus why I was asking if anyone else had some ideas.

I only decompiled the NdtkSvc on 950XL, the one on 730 might be different. But to answer your question there is only one other way, and it will kill USB so you won't be able to connect to it via PC at all until you reverse the change. If you post your NdtkSvc.dll I can check it for you.
