You need to flash an older gsm modem in order to enable service mode. Samsung blocked this service in newer modem

galaxy i5801 secret codes don't work

Hi! I searched in the forum but didn't find a solution for my problem.
I have a galaxy i5801 with froyo BVJP9. My problem is that some secret codes don't work on my phone. I would like to use the GPS-test and settings-code *#*#1472365#*#* to fix my gps-problem, but the code doesn't work.
Also the other *#*#14789650#*#* doesn't work. When i type the code it disappears on the display, but nothing happens.
Any ideas what i could do?
Thanks a lot!!
cheers,

*#*#1472365#*#* work fine for me. What happens when you type: *#0*#? Or *#1234#? Or *#06#?
Do you use the stock dial?
*#*#14789650#*#* doesn't work for me too...
The gpssetup2 didn't work for me too..... i guess it's a bug......the career specific codes work but the ones for hidden settings do not.......

Could maybe be the fact that codes are meant for 5800 and not 5801? Just shouting in the dark here...

Try downloading an app called phoneinfo for the play store, you can change your network using it.
If you search your Rom thread for phoneinfo you will see someone else has already used it.
Hope this helps you ....
