Hello! This is a CM9 I built from source some days ago using CM9 device & vendor tree made by Ivan/qiwu (big thanks to him for this)
This ROM is in really early stage.
IT CAN BRICK YOUR DEVICE !!! FLASH CAREFULLY !!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!
What works:
I think everything works apart from camera !
I have tested this rom on my phone before uploading. When I rebooted in recovery through the reboot menu of the ROM my device was hard-bricked. That means I sent it to service in order to repair it!
In this rom I intergrated a fix for camera and also for recovery I think.
Still you are NOT encouraged to reboot into recovery from within the ROM unless you want to test how lucky you are.
You can flash this rom and tell me what other things may not work correctly and also try to make your own fixes for the problems mentioned above.
Flash via CWM 5.0.2.7
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) Advanced-> Wipe Dalvik Cache
3) Instal from .zip in sdcard
Notes:
1)Installation will get a lot of time. No other rom took me so much ever. Just wait patiently and it will eventually end
2)If you have no baseband/imei=null try using the amss.mbn from gingerbread pinkscreen image folder -> aka the gingerbread baseband file

of course not. ivan also made device & vendor tree for cm9 for u8800pro
it isn't available at his github anymore , but the lewa os team (ioz9 at github) had made a fork
@ svteam : I didn't try any other cameras but I think you 'll get the same errors. Some libraries and maybe some bin files may need to be changed in order for camera to work.

be careful with the recovery fix though! it may brick your device.

I cant do anything on U+ now. Got imei 0 cant restore it..i am not sending it back to centre. May be looking at some new phones now. But will try to fix for sure.

You can find some local mobile repair store,they will create imei. Ask some one near by you

I'm not gonna try my luck again with CM9. Whenever I try, my phone hard bricks
The only thing not working though is camera. If you are interested PM. I have some ideas which may result in a fix

Still running 2.4.20 MIUI... was tempted to try ICS but now seems everyone is looking toward to Jelly bean. Only feature I care about in Jelly Bean was the voice actions.
Other than that I'll take MIUI any day.

Good work, man. This latest ROM is definitely better than previous ones. Aside from the typical things that are not working, like camera, for example, the transitions and response is considerably better but obviously not ready for extensive daily use just yet. I will provide more detailed report later on. But just wanted to say "thank you" for your hard work.

Yes, using StreakMod recovery.
1) Do a Nandroid backup.
2) Clear Dalvik, Cache and Factory Reset from StreakMod.
3) Factory reset from main recovery menu. This step isn't always necessary, but doesn't hurt.
4) Flash this zip. Also flash gapps and superuser.zip from the other ICS thread for Google Apps and root.
5) Reboot and enjoy ICS MIUI!

I got a DS 5 from my bro yesterday and i want to flash ROMs on it.
But i still don't know after i've finished ROMs on Ds 5 , is it easy to downgrade or move back to the official ROMs?

I know everyone is all about Jellybean and ICS right now, but I was just messing around now that I am on official gingerbread and put this together. Thought I would share just in case it was useful to someone else looking for a stock experience.
It uses the kernel forumber found from this thread:

HDR camera works great, the message to reject a call is cool too. Will release a build later with these enabled.
probably didnt need a whole new build, but have put one up that enables HDR camera and reject call by message.

If I recall correctly, it was pulled from my backup of b526. I don't think I modified it at all.

Make a backup.
Make all wipes.

sorry we didnt know that. we just tried using a porting method.
check system/libs/hw...you will that we have msm7x30_surf other phones with our specs using the msm7630 so....how you could port it exacly??you need to recompile the whole kernel and if it work...after that you need device tree that using msm7630 libs!!anyway porting is not able exept you will use our hardware files but that no use cause we already having cm10 and our libs need fixing!!

If you change only boot.img , build.prop the rom will not boot!
But knowlage is good think...logcat and check it!!

well i searched some porting methods on the internet and i found an easy one so i thought it would be a good idea to try it.

we actually changed many files not only boot.img and build.prop ^_^ we our tester will find his phone we will test it for sure

2)Needed. These are files that are NEEDED in order your ROM to work properly.

I already said that 4.2 WILL NOT get released,at least for now so no word about that.

Did you follow my instructions?
Followed the instructions and installed the rom, and now my phone stays at the Huawei logo for few seconds and reboots and I can't boot it to the recovery to install other roms...
E: I installed step 2 from b928 update and it's alive again

How are the results for you? Is it smooth enough? Could you provide some screenshots for the 1st post please?
Does it mean that the phone still be able to boot after flashing the rom(without needed files) from cwm but I have to move the needed files to system/app then to make it work properly?

Does it mean that the phone still be able to boot after flashing the rom(without needed files) from cwm but I have to move the needed files to system/app then to make it work properly?

Yes i just removed some big files because of the 200mb limit on mediafire.
Rom doesn't work. Done everything written

Nope. We dont have a coder right now so all modifications were done by me to have a stable ICS. I took the zip that bronxitas made and added tweaks and removed files to make it faster and smoother. So i thought it would work because that zip was working fine.

Gadana wasn't even 200MB to begin with.

just test it. it wont brick u device. for me i only got a black bootanimation after flashing and waited for 6mins still nothing so i think display is not working on this build or something is broken.
i just restored my backup over recovery.

I've read good things about this OS. Sony has recently released a ROM for the Xperia E!
In my opinion the atrix development should be focused in building an ICS kernel :/
