US Cellular Galaxy S4 SCH-R970 - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm creating this topic because there are currently no discussions regarding this particular model of the Galaxy s4 and I'm wondering if there are any roms that are compatible with this model besides the current cyanogen mod nightlies .

Also if someone could reply with direct attachments to the sch 970 stock firmware and kernel it would be greatly appreciated

so does anyone know the definitive answer?
There is a Sprint variant of the ReVolt rom, there isn't a thread for it on XDA but there are still nightlies available for our device. I'm on the phone so I can't link it but I have the link to the download page in my directory thread if you can see my sig. If not I'm pretty sure it's on Goo, look for the jfltespr version, (jfltespr is our device).
Actually it's on basketbuild, here's the link.

No do not flash those roms unless you know what you are doing.
Obviously if there is a sprint version posted then you are ok.

Am I limited by having a gt-19507

Hi guys
I've just got my new s4 but I'm confused with the many variants. I've got a gt-19507 and my question is can I use firmware intended for other variants for example 19505 etc? And how else can this limit me because I'm Sim locked currently and have carrier bloat that must go
Cheers

There is no answer to this question.
Only you can determined what the best kernel for your needs is. I suggest trying a couple out and seeing which one serves your purposes best. No one can tell you what the definitive 'best' is.
