MISCELLANEOUS :
Hello guys, you should all know diego-ch, and then you may know me, the PAC-MAN developer. Well, has been a really quick week in development terms, so, I going to tell you whats has been going on
History hidden for being offtopic (just to not waste space)
We decided (it was decided to be done a long ago by the other devs) to make a team, then (or it was before?) I came up with the idea of a Jenkins server (and also keep the STE development in one place), then, our development RAPIDLY increased, and then, because of this fast development, I decided to make this thread.
So, I will try to keep this thread updated with the lastest info, we also added support for I9070P (NFC variant)

I am not sure to understand what is the difference with "[DEV][ROM][ALPHA3][29/01] Unofficial CyanogenMod 10.1 for Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070)" ?

Stupid question, can i flash through stock recovery?

No vibration
Hi Micha! Thank you for this wonderful work! Good job i'm loving this release! I have to report a bug regarding vibration... i haven't it at all. No vibration on phisycal button or dialer or notifications... nothing! that's not an hardware problem because on system1 it works on official cyanogen. Hope it could be resolved! Thanks again! :highfive:
I found the vibration problem and will fix it asap
btw CM is affected, too but it doesn't appear because the custom vibration settings overwrite this after some time. You may have noticed, that the vibration in CM starts working lately

On omni-4.4.4-20140918-aries-NIGHTLY I still have problem with vibration, I haven't it at all.
On omni-4.4.4-20140919-aries-NIGHTLY i have only black screen ;(
Otherwise I like this ROM very much, and OmniSwitch is the great feature
I am coming from cm11 and running this rom for 3 days now. So far I am happy, for me the nightly from September 20th is stable & bugfree.
But I do have difficulties to activate hotword feature in launcher3. On omnirom.org homepage there is a video showing that feature, and there is one difference: the microphone icon doesn't show up in the search box. It does in Google Now launcher, but not in launcher3.
Any ideas?

FAQ (by @darkobas )
0. HALP! MY BRAIN IS BRICKED!
> go here https://plus.google.com/+MarkoMan/posts/3yXx9zkoUVA
1. Where do I download the rom?
Internetz
2. How do I install the rom?
Like any other rom, flash rom, gapps. OP suggest some gapps and SuperSu2.52!
3. OTA / upgrades (not applicable)
4. Does this rom include a theme engine?
All 6.0 roms support RRO/Layers, just install the layers app from the market (https://goo.gl/Pwrsjd) and install layer and you are good to go.
4.a I messed up with layers, device doesnt boot.
go to recovery/ mount system/ browse to /system/vendor/overlay and delete the whole overlay folder
5. OpenDelta app is CRASHING. (WIP) not applicable
6. Are there any custom kernels compatible?
Yes,
7.
-DONT USE /SYSTEM/BUILD.PROP TO CHANGE DPI (OR ANY STUPID LAZY WHACK APP FROM PLAYSTORE THAT DOES IT), doing this BREAKS GOOGLE BACKUP (at least it did in lollipop which means its 99,999% probability that it does also in marshmallow, but i dont bother to check since there workarrounds
- create build.prop (permissions 644 owner root) in /system/vendor/ put qemu.sf.lcd_density=xxx << d*** size in there (SAME VALUE AS YOU SET THROUGH SETTINGS). IT WILL BE PRESERVED DURING DIRTY FLASHES BUT WIPED WITH SYSTEM WIPE.
but the built in dpi changer works fine so i dunno why you would be doing this
8. OP is being harsh, rude and PITA in general! i want my mummy!
yes, now pls go to mummy and dont come back.
9. I am very important and update rom only every 6 months now OTA doesnt work!
- go to point 1.
10. i will ************************************************** ********************* you probably fit into one of those categories but on the other hand you probably didn't read this anyway.
11. If i ignore you don't take it personally. I bet your a great, honest & smart person. I just don't like you
12. f2fs is not supported, don't ask about it mkay

It seems that almost everything works properly.
The rom is smooth, rather fast and stable.

Xposed also works on this rom without any problem.
Overall, awesome rom!

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
Important

This thread is for Official AICP builds for chagallwifi (SM-T800). The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
I don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
Have not attempted a clean flash
You MUST be on a Marshmallow bootloader. A tutorial guide is below.

You tell...

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

How to update to Marshmallow bootloader (required for 20170322 and later builds)
Updating the bootloader is very quick and doesn't wipe data or repartition the device.
If the last Samsung ROM you had was 6.0.1 Touchwiz, you already have Marshmallow bootloader and don't need to follow these steps. (If you were on MM, and it still won't boot, follow the steps below)
1. Download the bootloader-only Odin package: T800XXU1CPK2.tar.md5
This has the latest Marshmallow bootloader (December 2016)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767146298
2. Download Odin 3.11
You can skip this if you already have a working Odin
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298937183
3. Shutdown your tablet and start it up by holding Power+Home+Volume Down to enter Download Mode. Volume Down is the one right next to the power button. Really shut it down and use this key combination, if you use Advanced Restart, or go into download mode via TWRP the bootloader won't change.
4. Make sure the screen of your tablet has a green android symbol with a "Downloading..." text
5. Open Odin3_v3.11.1.exe and follow the instructions in this image:
If anything is missing, you WON'T flash bootloader successfully.
6. Click Start. Your tablet will automatically reboot back into your ROM.
7. To verify you have the new bootloader, you can run in terminal emulator "getprop ro.bootloader". It should say T800XXU1CPK2.
Thanks @ZakooZ for the post!

May as well take this
Just installed it, very smooth! GPS working like a charm, magisk manager working as intended and AICP extras a very nice feature to have. Love the three fingers to screenshot.
Dirty flashed on top of Lineage OS 14.1. Running smooth so far. Customization options similar to RR. OMS support. Looking good.
Thank you!

This ROM allows you to select your WiFi region code in WiFi advanced menu. Did you try selecting the correct country code?

Yes, I did try that, but it made no difference. It would sit there saying "trying to turn on wifi". Works fine now that I installed the ROM on the internal sdcard. Using it right now.

Not home ATM. New build once I get back
OK, "away-darky", did a clean flash right now. Lot of options in settings, very nice? just missed the " kill app" with the back button. First flash was a bit laggy, did a new one, seems to be OK now.
Will give it a go for some days ?
no issues with wifi, youtube 4k works, some issues with extsd
