I just got my nexus last week and heres my problem
Nexus 4 Connects correctly and with full speed wifi internet.
After a while it disconects and it gives connection problems to every one in the house ( i have to shut down wifi so that they can peacefully use the web again)
i have 1 router thomson and 2 signal hotspots belkin, the problem only occures when im connected to the Belkin routers, the other works fine.
RESUME: Connecting nexus 4 will shut down all internet in my home to every other device.
i cant find any fix for this. tryed some but they were for other connection problems like no net or slow connections. none work
help me please. thanks

I have recently developed a problem connecting to Wifi .
All was fine until two days ago , now once it has found the networks it goes to disconnected

even me i get the problem!! my wifi works proper in my laptop where as in my x10 it shows wifi not in range?what shall i do?
Wifi issue
Guys go to ur router setting and allow access in MAC Address control. It will work then.

mine problem similar with this but can detect after router restart
Does X10 have week signal reception or it's my idea?
When I 'm at home I have different signal sign on my laptop and X10. Sometimes it even disconnect while laptop connection works fine.
wifi problem with 2.1 seem the same as x10. Cutting wirles on week signal. Any other have the same problem?

The bug Im pertaining is that the connection fail for seemingly no reason, even whil in use, then reconnect and operate normally after 10-20 seconds or so.

I had this problem on 1.6 and still have it on 2.1.
I don't get it though. My phone behaves better with some wireless hotspots than others.
Moved to general.
That isnt bug.
Phone says that router isnt in range because mobile cant find it in first second.
PS I dont have that problem.
The problem is that the ruter is in range and the connection is at 30% then I try to download somting from net or retrive somting from dropbox and the wifi connection broke for 2-5 sec. and then it connect again.. all day long.
I try to change SIDD, chanel and the problem is the same. The problem is that wifi shout down and restarts.
Repair your softwer.
software is 2.1 rus. flashed 4 time and the problem persist. now im back to 1.6 (rooted) and waiting for the wifi to go mad ;-)

is your router a dlink? post full name of router here

I noticed that the x8 connect to the unsecured wifi spot without problem. Also on the andr. 1.6 the connection if fine.
i have the same problem , after i try to connect my roiter turns off and the wifi on phone turns off too, i am mad at SE as i can not download any app

can help for you a new (not from original site) firmware in your router (dd-wrt) - serch HERE
try changing security mode on your routter from wep to wap and vice versa it might help
I'm having problem with the wifi too. Icon is there, but connection is lost. I have to refresh the page multiple times before wifi starts to work again. I configured my wifi setting to never...It's making me mad because I didn't have this problem on 1.6...
And it happens in close range to the router with full signal. I hear that lots of people have this kind of problem...
Yup, I am having it. I can be right next to my wifi hotspot, and it still drops.
But like I said, other routers seem to work better with my phone than others, strangely.
My WiFi on the Atrix crashed all my 3 routers (ActionTec/Dlink/Linksys), sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after several hours.
The routers needed restart after that. Also wired connections were affected.
I tried messing with static IPs and sleep mode, nothing worked!
Now I upgraded my Dlink DIR 655 from 1.11 to 1.33 (supposedly the best).
Things changed
Now my Atrix takes only itself down, the Dlink keeps working for other wireless and wired devices.
The Atrix says its connected and I get the icon with full bars, however no data is transferred. The market and other apps say network error.
I can switch connection over to my other WIfi network and all is good again.
Has anyone seen this behaviour?
Also is there an app that shows me the link mode G or N and the current link speed? I cant seem to find a good app. I would also like to see if I can lock the Atrix to G or N only. Is there such a toggle switch?

Update: Switched connection from Dlink to Linksys and it worked for about 30 minutes then the linkksys crashed (could not reconnect got no IP). Switched back to the Dlink, got connected, good signal but no data. Even after a phone reboot. So I think it might be still on the DLink side although I have Netflix (PS3 wireless) and another PC connecting fine. This and the VOIP mic problems (Skype etc...) bug me the most about the phone.
ive been having this same problem since i got my phone and im still having problems. its pissing me off. cant even use my netflix through the Wii to watch on the big screen

centurylink is my isp. i dont know if its my router that is just crappy or my cell phone is interrupting it while the wifi is on and im trying to browse causing the routers wifi to cut everything off thats on wifi

so i have a google N7 32Gb i updated it to 4.2.2 and suddenly it has hard times to connect to the internet.
on my laptop (also connected by wifi), i have no problem
on my desktop (connected with a lan cable) , i don't have any problems either
sometimes my N7 works like a charm but other times it doesnt.
I've mentiond when i turn wifi off and back on then i have like 10 seconds of browsing time.
Some have had success by forgetting the connection and rebooting the router, then setting it up again. Wpa-psk seems to be much more reliable than wep. Static ip in advanced settings has helped some. Mine is a dhcp enabled 802.11n with wpa/wpa2-psk encryption and has been flawless.
I use psk 2 but that isn't the problem since I get connection but the problem is my nexus only stays connected for like 5 or 10 seconds.
If I turn the WiFi off and back on on my nexus then I get connected again for like 5 or 10 seconds.
Weird enough I don't have this problem on any of my other devices ....
Yeah. I just started having this problem today on my Nexus 7 with Cellular. The HSPA+ connection doesn't have issues; I can surf normally but when I'm using Wi-Fi, it's problematic.
I didn't have this issue until recently. Very strange.

I've been trying to solve this on my own for a long time, but I've found no clue on how to do it.
I have an ADSL2 router with wifi at home and many devices connected to it via wifi (smartphones, notebooks, pcs) and every one of them works fine. Only problem is my Samsung S5830 which connects to the wifi, THE INTERNET WORKS FOR A 4-5 SECONDS and then it just stops loading pages and everything else, it is connected to the wifi but the internet doesn't work. Every other device works on that router but this Ace. Strange thing is, that on other Wifi (hotspot made by my HTC One) the Ace works just fine, so it is not a problem with Wifi driver/rom or something like that.
Solutions I've tried :
1. *#*#526#*#* code to restart wifi driver
2. Using Static IP
3. Changing DNS
4. Restarting router/phone many times
The router is TP-Link TD-W8961NB.
Strange thing is that I cannot even access the router's configuration page on 192.168.1.1 after that 5 seconds, so the problem isn't just in accessing the internet.
Also, I've checked all firewall/security/blocking functions of the router and none of them should be responsible for this, noting that all other devices work.
Thanks for any other ideas, I'm seriously fed up with this.
