First of all i would like to ask you how can I install the greek language for sms and gps to my phone.I have already downloaded this file from

but I did'n see any difference! (I already know it's for a dieffernet model).
Secondly I tried to flash the rom of my phone from CE OS 5.2.21734(Build 21734.5.0.20) to the latest update Ultimate iOmEgA WM 6.5 COM2 XIP SYS 21887
but an error260 CONNECTION came up so the the installation had to be canceled!

very simple. Your phone is not a genuine phone, it is a fake Iolite
Indeed, you have a clone one, we can't do anything for you unfortunately...
There are threads here and there about fake HTCs, so you can gather information about what you can do with it, but DO NOT try to flash the roms made for the original phone, they will not work and it would result in a bricking of your device...
Keep in mind that the clones only share the look with the original, the hardware is totally different. You have a different processor, less ram, etc.

Roms are device dependent, so they cannot be exchanged between different devices.
Applications are not, and there are people trying to get the touflo from the original device to the clones.
There are also roms specifically made for the clones, but it looks like some features are gone with these upgrades, such as the scroll wheel.
And the roms for the clones are not available in many languages... Only chineese, english, and spanish i think...

Sounds like a FisherPrice tablet - if you are on a budget and you have to have a tablet it is still not worth it, you are better off with the Nook

I'm new to these android headunits so I have a few questions that hopefully some of you can help me answer. I've found two headunit which seem to be ok, they are both made by the manufacturer Erisin. My first question is should I pay the £70 extra for the latest 6.0 unit or is the 5.1.1 unit not much different? My second question is can I change the icons on the 6.0 unit as I prefer the appearance of the 5.1.1 icons? I have included images below of the spec list and the menus.

Get a android head unit with 2gb ram instead of 1 gb. You'll regret it if you don't. Also, not much difference between android 5.1.1 and 6.0.1

Ok thanks for your advice. Is it possible to change the icons on the 6.0.1 unit for the 5.1.1 unit icons?

If bluetooth is important to you, you should check out the head units with an Intel Sofia CPU, such as the Joying 2GB head units. Don't get anything with either 1GB RAM or a low res 800x480 screen, other than that, you can't really go wrong. Try to stay with the brands which has wider customer bases and feedback, such as Ownice, Pumpkin and Joying, and probably some others as well

Well I want the android 6.0.1, but I think the icons on the 5.1.1 unit look much cleaner than the 6.0.1 unit
It is Android....using Nova launcher you can use your custom icons you need...
I prefer car launcher pro

Sorry I'm new to android so please bear with me :good: If I use Nova Launcher can I make the android 6.0.1 look exactly like android 5.1.1?

You haven't said if you decided yet-so I'll put my 2 bobs worth in.
Get the 2gb and 1024 screens that is a definite. :good: Which one? I bought a Pumpkin and was well pleased with the unit, but when I tried to get firmware for the unit it was like pulling teeth.
I asked multiple times and they really didn't want to send it to me until I said I was going to send it back. It's Android, not Apple, we have Android stuff so we can modify it and change it to suit us. If we wanted a closed system we would not buy Android. I will never buy Pumpkin again for this reason. Anyway, I sold the car it was in and now have bought a Joying unit, as out of all the manufacturers, Joying seem to be the least protective of "their" software and they even have a presence on this forum. :highfive:
I have struggled a bit with their unit admittedly, battery draining and bluetooth issues, but they ALWAYS reply to your queries, even though they limit you to 1 email a day for some weird reason, it's hard to have a "conversation" when you have to wait a day for a reply every time.
The battery draining issue was cured by an new (free of charge) canbus module, and the bluetooth by a new firmware, which they supplied unhesitatingly.
There are overheating issues, which can be rectified by adding extra heatsinks and fans, (watch warranty here).
Get an Android system and you will always be playing with it, a tweak here, a bit more there, it can be fun but a big hole to drop your time into-if you have a young family, forget it. Alternatively, buy a "named" brand and get a system set in stone where you can change virtually nothing and pay 2 or 3 times the price of Android. The choice is yours.

I don't really know what to look at/for, but I'm looking for a unit that actually works (reading reviews here give me the impression that only brand name units are quality and "error-free" and everything else is in "beta-mode"). What should I look for?

Hi, I’m just trying to navigate around pre purchase myself. But also Just found these guys myself, been considering an xtrons Merc oem style Octa core but I’ve seen this one on eBay and checked out the shop on line. Seems they are just a stockist of the units. No different to Xtrons I guess but the one I’m looking at looks similar to Seicane units I’ve seen reviewed with the Apple style icons. The other apps look the same as xtrons Pumpkin and the rest. But the main thing interesting me is that they do actually seem to be here in the uk (Wales) and their web site seems to suggest they know their stuff and are willing to help on installation and so forth.
If they are able to assist with any update and stuff maybe they are the guys to go for?. A bit more than Xtrons direct as they have a 15% code but only £12.
That said uk seller doesn’t mean more help, as I found with a Pioneer from a well known uk provider.

Got a positive email off them this morning pretty helpful and explained all the questions I had Re the two units I liked. Baby was up crying bless him so I did some research in the night and of the two merc units I like one was 99.9% Seicane and the other was 99.9% a Erisn. They noted they will give firmware support where needed on an if it ain’t broke basis. Suits me as I don’t plan on fiddling beyond maybe a new car style launcher. Going for the Seicane one as it’s more oem Merc.

Got mine looks great fitted last night but haven’t really played with it. Worked totally plug and play. Short station drive this morning and radio was better than stock Merc. Bt call was choppy but caller was also driving and last nights test was fine. Audio tech were very helpful in ordering etc.
