Yes, I got that a couple of days ago. It came down through the Sony PC Companion software so maybe try that.

Checked today throught the Sony software but it still say's that my tablet is up to date with the .253... In which country did you get your Z?
Sent from my SGP321 using xda app-developers app

Just installed the update, is it just me or is the setting menu got a new background, was it not all black before? Else hoping for better wifi because it was pretty unstable on my unit in my bedroom, where my z smartphone worked fine.
Sendt fra min SGP321 med Tapatalk2

I got the update notification for my XTZ, but it refused to download the blob_fs files because I have CyanogenMod on my tablet can't upload it because of that

What operator do you use ? According to Sony support this might be delayed due to that.

I dont think that depends upon operator as its not operator locked. I dont remeber if I had parlino but it was in wifi mode I think i am using fogg mobile right now.

New FW showed up last night

Looks like my unlocked GS3 downloaded new FW overnight, installing it now.
Anyone know what it fixes?
I hope it's the audio quality of video recordings.
I'm in CA on AT&T
They wouldn't say. It just says improved stability.
What firmware are you on now ?
If I have assisted you, please press Thanks button.
I got an update as well and I'm on I9300UBLF2 (Not sure what region that is, it's an imported phone)

I know its not the latest, but I wanted to keep it stock for as long as possible. I got addicted to flashing roms on my previous Nexus S, trying to cut back.

Optus Australia shows 4.3 coming December

As the title says read here. Only 6 to 8 weeks.
S3 users have to wait till january!
It is Optus so there is a chance we'll be waiting until then also. My old Incredible S' ICS update was pushed back by months.

Motorola is by far the worst company on bring updates on time...in fact some updates never come, like ICS for Motorola Atrix (I´m still waiting for it). So I rather wait for some weeks than never get the update.

LG is also worse. A lot updates never come. They are forgetting their other flagships.

But this is the date the carrier plans to release the update, it's not on Samsung's side. So if they plan to push the update on December the official release from Samsung (unbranded devices) should be before that. November?

Exactly! It must be at least a month prior to carrier update because carriers have to customize ROM with their wallpaper, bootanimation (at least) etc. And since we have new leak, I am afraid we will get nothing new (camera, etc) since there is not enough time... Let's just hope I'm wrong
I would stick Clear of any Optus Firmware it's over bloated with very nasty apps – that install before first boot. Horrendously ugly custom app icons. In fact Optus 4.3 vs. Official Stock 4.3 is using over 330MB of RAM usage out the box.

The Reason for the delay

So I wonder, what's causing this delay in the Z2 launch? Which component is in shortage? Don't you all wonder the same? I'm sure if all of us discuss we can get to the bottom of this.
You can take a good look at all the internal here.
Points to be considered :
1. Its not Qualcomm.
2. Each and every part except for the IPS panel, 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory is manufactured by Sony. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
3. It cannot be the internal storage as Galaxy S5 ships with the same.
So it has to be either the 3GB RAM from Samsung, probably that's why they didn't include it in their own flagship. Or the IPS panel. To me, it seems more of the RAM issue. What about you guys?
That's already said - it's IPS panel.
Try to search a bit, there was article about that with a link to source.

Not according to Vodafone UK. although I'll only believe it 100%when I have the phone in my hands next week lol.

You'll have to Google it...
Can't remember where I saw that but I know it was on XDA.
But it was said that it'll be postponed but or limited edition will be released with panels they have or they will have.
So I guess it's not problem in manufacturing but most likely it's just factory capacity problem...
There was some rumors Sony won't stayed on IPS for Z2 because of that but I don't believe in that...

I have read somewhere on youtube that a guy sent an email to sonymobile and they said the reason is that they didn't expect the high demand of the phone

Hahaha Well that's certainly true too.
Now I just hope Sony doesn't release a Z3 in August. -_-
Z2X with a snapdragon 805 and 2k display would be better! - Wikipedia suggests it'll be a Z2X.
Well mine is still slated for 15th April so no delays on mine from Tele2 Sweden which should be considered a major partner to Sony

*Speculation/Rumor* 6.0 MM for Z5 Update

Hi Everyone,
Today I was notified of 2 Play Store app updates that might mean that 6.0 is literally coming very very soon. The Sony Lifelog app got a new material design as well as a new app icon. Smart Connect also got an Android M compatibility update. Since it was rumored that they had a kernel build compiled back in January, that just means that they needed to fix some stock app issues. It's wishful thinking but I think we can look forward to the coming days/weeks when this finally releases OTA.

I saw over on Android Central, that a Sony Twitter mentioned March 7th as the 'official' release of MM for eligible Xperia devices. Assuming this is for international versions, and how long it took for the previous update to arrive, it could a mid March before we see anything

I just have 1 question. The new UI will same with Xperia X UI ?
The Xperia UI seems not big change, Settings menu, Notification bar,... similar Lollipop. I hope this is a beta version. A bit disappointed
Z5P come with marshmallow adoptable storage, as samsung opt this out for their marshmallow.

will it be straight to 6.0.1 or just updating to 6.0?
Will it improve the camera performance? i.e. less delay between shots, better image processing?...

Where is marshmallow?

How is the updates doing on your note 4s? I have a 910c I did but its from Lithuania but I live in the UK. And I'm still waiting for the marshmallow update! I first saw rumors of it last year and it looked like February was the release date then nothing...And every week it looked like it was coming and nothing. Then 4 weeks ago I saw the international release for the 910c and still nothing on my updates! Now the next version of Android is coming wtf this is the slowest ever! :s
