Where can I see one in a retail store? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'd like to actually see a Google Nexus 10 in real life and play around with it at a retail store before I decide to buy it. Very curious about the ridiculous resolution etc but Best Buy obviously doesnt carry it. Does anyone know a chain retail store that has them in stock or on display? I could just order it from amazon and or google play and return it if I dont like it I realize but was wondering if anyone had any ideas of where I could actually see one first before ordering. thanks.

I'm pretty sure best buy has them.
Call your local best buy and see.

I tried it out at Staples before buying.

Got mine at Sam's Club. It was on sale for 469. They have a big display with different tablets.

Yeah seen them in two of the Staples I visited. They have it on display. Nexus 7 too if you or anyone else was curious. I heard that some Walmarts will put it on display too but I have not confirmed this first hand. Good luck! :good:

I'd say Staples or Walmart. I got mine at Walmart.

Staples seems more likely to have N10's on display. Wal-Mart in this area only has Galaxy Tab, iPad, and Vizio's on display.

Will you be able to buy a nexus s online or only in the stores on the 16th?

"Where can I buy the Nexus S?
The Google Nexus S can be purchased at Best Buy stores, Best Buy Mobile stand-alone stores, Bestbuy.com and through our dedicated call center (866-813-2021)."
http://www.bestbuymobile.com/article/google-nexus-s-faqs
You can buy it on the Best Buy website also.

if anything do NOT take what the people at the call center say as fact and do NOT listen to what most of the stores will tell you if you really want it just show up
No pre-order...
We have to wait at the store Thursday morning to buy one (limit 2 per customer, upgrade or buying in full price).

Sell my Nexus S?

I really want a Galaxy Nexus for AT&T but I'm currently in a hard financial state. If I was to sell my device which is in good condition aside from a small scuff on the corner, how much should I sell it for?
I'm still not sure if I sell right away because I might wait for the new nexus so the price drops. I'm just looking for a good reference on price so I can ponder it over. Thanks in advance to anyone who offers help.

I'd say you should be able to get ~130-150 for it. Thats about the average I've seen on craigslist and the for sales

When I was looking for a sprint one (which i since decided to cancel my contract shortly and go prepaid but thats another story lol) I was able to find a few for ~400 or so. I've seen a couple online retailers selling for ~450.
I haven't even seen any used ones though. Which kind of irritates me as that would probably be the only way I could get one. Seeing as I prefer to buy locally and not have to be without a phone for any major period of time.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/mob/3149391824.html <- Might be the Nexus S 4G
http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/mob/3148695947.html <- Definitely the Galaxy Nexus LTE
There are more on their for 300+ yes but i found these 2 for cheaper.

Yes and no. Sprint sells them for $550 new. So online retails selling @ 450 are actually selling lower then sprint. Believe me I think its stupid too. This is one of the many reasons I'm ditching sprint in September/October and going gsm/prepaid
350 on the play store new when I'm only selling my phone for 130-150. Lol. I don't have that kind of cash to front at the moment.

Everyone is going to be significantly more expensive than the Play Store, Google is subsidizing the phone and retailers aren't.

DEAL: Nexus 7 32GB + $25 Play store credit for $239

Just thought I'd let you guys know. I went to Best Buy yesterday and saw it for cheap.
You get a 32GB Nexus 7 2013 and 25$ play store credit for $239
Seems like a good deal. Go scoop if you haven't already
P.S. I was surprised this was cheaper than Walmart! haha
Before or after tax? Hell of a good deal
That is a good deal! I got a good one too, 16GB for $199 (price match at BB)
It was like $269 after sales tax for me (CA). Plus I bought the Best Buy 1 year warranty for $50. Total came out to $312 and some change. I must say not a bad deal at all. I saw this for sale last night also and figured I would jump on it since it's about $30-40 cheaper than the Google Play Store.

They send you a code in your email. I actually returned the device because the screen was yellow.... But they let me KEEP the play store credit!
FYI, I disagree with the idea of having to show your ID for a return. This is an invasion of privacy. Im surprised they haven't been sued to the dirt.

Best Buy sends the code or Google? Sorry about all the questions but I'm standing at Best Buy right now, lol. I'm still fairly uncertain about the purchase because my first one had glue all over the back and horribly loud static.

Best buy sends the code. they ask for an email, you redeem it in the play store
I know what you mean. Its a hit or miss sometimes.
I would get it, and If its messed up, return it. You walk out with a $25 freebie

Awesome. Thank you for the quick replies. Nobody seems to know anything about the $25 credit but that was just a perk to the whole deal. Now I just have to see how the tablet itself works out.

I got the credit but the "tablet deparment specialist" had no idea about it. They even gave a free book, 6 months unlimited cloud storage for 3 devices, and a year of free antivirus. I'd call this trip a success, lol. Btw, that antivirus rang up $109.99 originally but everything dropped to $0.00 for some random promo that wasn't mentioned. Haha

Will smart watches be a Google play exclusive?

Does anyone know if smart watches will hit retails like Walmart, best buy, staples, etc? Or will they only be sold through the Google play store?
I don't think I've seen any mentions about retailers.

AT&T is slated to carry the G Watch, no word on the Gear Live yet, but we carry the entire Galaxy Gear line so I imagine it'll trickle in too.
Cheers guys, much appreciated!

Would highly doubt that Samsung and LG would let it be a Google Play exclusive. I am guessing like the Nexus devices, you can get them at selected outlets too
Personally I would like to see them all in a store, which I think will likely happen in the next few months (incl. moto360)
Daaang. Didn't realize it would be in Amazon so soon. I have prime shipping and Google charged me ten on my pre-order for shipping. Maybe I should cancel and then wait till amazon has it?
