[Q] Camera sticker/cover - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Anyone else find a very very small sticker covering their camera? It was still there after completely removing (I thought!) all the little sticker/protective covers on the rest of the phone.
Just found it, having a hell of a time getting it off but it's definitely there!

Yeah, I took it off.

There's a thread about this already.

Sorry, I searched the forums a handful of different ways and didn't find anything about this.
My bad.

Yeah if you look around the bumper there is some there as well. Its to protect from incidentally scratching off surfaces. Older slide phones came with them on the back of the slider as well. Even the charger block came with one I believe lol. But yeah it shouldn't be too hard to take off.

I dunno about you guy's but I LOVE how the mod's are cleaning up this forum

Lately XDA had turned into a garbage dump with a ton of question threads that clog up the N1 General section (instead of the proper Q/A section) of the forum that is dedicated to breaking news discussion. Get these random questions outta here!
It's a great feeling to me when I come back and I see more than half of the unnecessary threads on the front page moved to their proper forum.
Thanks moderators for cleaning this place up. Now if only I could do the same thing for my room...

You mean about the last part and cleaning up your room? jk
Should have just swapped forum section titles, would have been quicker and easier than moving threads, but then I guess mods need something to do
btw, this thread is just as stupid and off topic as any that gets posted, This thread should be in the general off topic area as it has nothing to do with Nexus One
They're doing a good job indeed.

I figured giving the moderators, that keep the forum running smooth, a thank you for their hard work every now and then isn't as "stupid" as you make it out to be...
But your probably right though, with all the cracking down they are doing... this thread will probably get moved as well
Thanks again though mod's before it is.
The irony of this thread is delicious.

agree, thanks for the work
would be better to move the thread without the shadow topic..
and when someone posts "help, where is my thread" just ban him...
No problem! This is to make things easier for you guys (and myself).. Again, don't take offense if your thread gets moved or closed, we want to kept the boards clean. I know people may take it the wrong way and think it's just us being power-hungry. Well I think we have better things to do than spending time moving threads around (but someone's gotta do it) or looking for a way to find work.
Thanks for the feedback.

How long do the *moved* threads hang around and keep showing as moved? I love the cleanup thats been going on, but I wouldn't mind if the moved threads just vanished as soon as they are moved. Is there a setting I can change for this?

They could move without a redirect but then people wouldn't know where their threads went. Depending on which software they run they might be able to use expiring redirects, which would solve your problem. But the mods would have to remember to select expiring redirect every time they move a thread.
I agree, and this thread this to be cleaned up too.

Somebody explain why my Bodyglove case sucks?

I have been lurking around here for about a month since I got my vibrant and keep seeing posts about TPU (is that right?) cases being so much better than the body glove cases, and that BG just sucks.
I mean, the power button is a bit hard to get to at times and the whole thing is a tad bulky, but I'm in the market for the toughest case in town....i have a track record of destroying any mobile electronics, specifically cell phones, in just a few months time
So can somebody tell me what I'm missing out on? Just curious about options I guess
Sorry for typos and errors, sent from using swype

Back glass slightly cracked. Is a replacement even necessary?

Hi guys, this is not a whine thread.
I'm travelling Vietnam and Thailand for 2 months, was picking up my day pack, forgot to close the zipper and dropped my N4. No biggie, still works like a charm, but a couple of days later I noticed there is a barely visible crack going half-circle-wise from the top right to the bottom right of the back glass. Might even just have been the heat around here and not the drop, as it's a constant 35+ degrees celsius and there is no visible "pressure point" to the crack. It is just one single crack.
I don't even care about it. It's virtually invisible and my phone is a work horse. I've always used it naked and I'll replace it some day anyways.
However, I am wondering if the crack will get worse, or if there is any reason besides aesthetics to replace the back glass. I love my N4 and I'd rather spend some money now to fix the broken back then buy a new phone a few months from now if the crack is just the start of a bunch of problems to come.
If the crack will not get worse or cause more problems in the future though, I was thinking of just putting a thin, hard case on it when I get home.
Did anyone here crack their N4's back glass and decide to not get it fixed?
Cheers!
Wrong section of the forum mate, should of been posted in the Xperia Z Q&A Section as this has nothing to do with Android Development lol
Go home boy, you're drunk. hahaha. This isn't nexus 4 forum and this is a development thread. Haha.

Are posts like that really necessary ? Is this 9GAG or XDA Developers ? If you can't answer the question, then don't post - and if the section is wrong, there's a nice yellow triangle for you to press and let the devs know...
@OP: There is no point in replacing it now, unless you can do it for free or very very cheap. If you can live with it - just ignore the crack. Be careful though, if it cracked - it might break sooner or later. A hard case might help as you won't put so much pressure on the glass with it on. This is a wrong section, yes, but if you look at Nexus 4 forums - cracked back glass happens quite often with this phone and most users seem to ignore the issue as it's not worth the hassle.
Don't post questions in Development, thread moved to Q&A.
Thanks
My sincere apologies for posting it in the wrong subforum.
Thanks for the replies! I'll probably not get it fixed then.

Back Cover

Hey folks,
While I know this may be a stupid question, my OCD always seems to kick in whenever I take off the back cover. How many times can you take off and put on the back cover on a Galaxy S4 before the clips start to wear away and don't hold on to the back anymore?
Excuse my stupidity if applicable.
Thanks!

I linked you to that thread for several reasons:
A. You are asking a question in the "General" section. Questions should go in Q&A.
B. Your question is subjective...there is no answer to it. It depends on how people remove the cover, how the phone is handled, how the phone's build holds up, etc... Mine might hold up well after taking the back off 1000 times, yours may fall apart after 100 removals.
C. My perception of a phone in good shape might not be the same as your perception.
You will have a better chance of getting an answer in that thread I linked you to, but honestly, I don't think anyone can answer something that doesn't have an answer in the first place. Good luck.

So you create an account to ask this in the wrong section of XDA?
I have not but that definitely sounds like a warranty claim to me

I actually answered a question another time. Plus I thought I was asking a general question in the general section of the g2 forum. Is this the incorrect place for my question.
