It does, but trying to buy games for the PS3 means I always have to add too or have some left e.g. 19.99!, so perhaps thats the reason for 22
@long2905 -> UK

I know you can get credit in UK but it doesn't work in Poland. There is no offers at all for polish folks which is very annoying that Sony treats some countries differently.
Sent from my SGP311 using XDA Premium HD app

either the promotion ended or Sony just want to f*** with me. It didn't show up anywhere for me to click on regardless of the countries I picked

It wasn't there for 1 week after I bought the device, then it appeared, so keep looking it seems to be very badly organised!

£120 worth of vouchers on Samsung hub (UK)

Hi there. Had a look at the Samsung hub and when it eventually loaded I clicked the Exclusives tab and discovered I could get voucher codes for 7 digital and Samsung Movies to the tune of £120. I'm in the UK so don't know if it'll work elsewhere.
Just thought I'd pad it on!
Is that through Samsung Apps?
I don't see exclusives anywhere, where do I find them?

Once you have downloaded your voucher code you should then follow the steps below to redeem your voucher at Samsung Movies and 7digital:
a) MOVIE ENTITLEMENT:
Download the Samsung Movies application from Samsung Hub;
Register for Samsung Movies;
Choose rental movies up to the value of £65;
Input voucher code into the Samsung Movies application.
b) MUSIC ENTITLEMENT:
Go to the 7digital store link within Samsung Hub;
Register for 7digital music service;
Choose tracks up to the value of £50;
Enter voucher code to download.
To download the AVG pro security application you should access the Samsung Hub, click on 'Exclusives' and click on the AVG icon to download the application.
The link above doesn't bring up any offers for me. Just a page all about the Note!

Samsung Hub...
The Samsung Hub is an app that comes with the phone, just like the Social Hub, Readers Hub, etc. Samsung Apps is different.
If you run the Samsung Hub its got cool recommendations for your Note - its how I found Zen Brush, for example.
You have to go to a specific 7Digital subsite (Samsung.7digital.com I think it was, but its in the Samsung Hub details.) For movies, just download Samsung Movies from the app store!

It's a personal choice I guess but this is interesting!

Incidentally, bought my note on launch day and got £250 of vouchers (£100 Movies £75 Music and £75 Ebooks)...
7digital is a bit annoying as I can only download single tracks as opposed to full albums (means you 'pay' more for a full album).
Samsung movies doesn't have (for my taste) a very good range of films.
But Kobo is excellent and I now have enough books to last me a long time..

Has anyone had any luck with this. My Note came today, logged onto Samsung Hub, left IMEI and just have a Take That offer.
I seem to remember something similar happening with Samsung and the original Galaxy Tab. You had to register the device and wait 24 hrs.
Hoping this works for me but anyone actually got these without registering?

according to the terms & conditions though:
This promotion is only open to UK residents who are aged 18 or over who purchase a new Samsung Galaxy Note handset in-store at participating UK retailers only during the Promotion Period (a "Promotion Handset")
I ordered it by phone as it wasn't available in-store, bummer. Pity CPW didn't mention that, but they don't seem to have any at the stores right now, only seem to be able to order online or by phone. Or perhaps the offer is only open to SIM-free purchases, mine was an upgrade.

Google Play credit greyed out?

I bought my Nexus 7 a month ago and successfully activated it to receive the 25$ credit.
I used 12$ out of the 25$ and then didn't purchase anything for a week or two.
Today I wanted to purchase an app with my remaining 13$ and I noticed the Google Play credit payment method is greyed out and I can't use it.
This is what it says:"This payment method cannot be used for this purchase (RBC)" .
Searched everywhere... didn't see a similar report.
Tried purchasing other apps... to check if it's something specific...
Also tried to purchase apps with my Nexus S... greyed out there as well.
Anyone has an idea why this happened or how to solve it?
As far as I know, the only restrictions are that it cannot be hardware (ie: Nexus 7, GNex, N7 case)
Same problem here...
Same here. First order went fine, but now it's greyed out. FYI, I'm using my tablet outside US, tried both local IP and US based VPN, and neither has worked.
I have the same problem. I think google made it impossible to use the money when you are not from the USA. I saw that all the guys that posted in this thread are from outside the USA.

It happened to me too. Didn't even get a chance to use my $25 at all
Hope there's a workaround for this..
Same issue here and I'm in Canada...
Hopefully someone will have the solution to this..
Same here. I wonder what the (RBC) error code could mean? I can still purchase apps on the device using my cc, but I've found that I also have a problem buying from the Play store on the web today. Neither my N7 store credit, nor my regular cc are working on the Play Store web site. Trying to purchase anything that way yields a Google Wallet error. Both of these payment methods show up just fine in the Google Wallet settings. Weird.
I've emailed Google about the problem and will report back if I hear anything. BTW, I'm in Australia and I bought my N7 through the Play store.
Same thing here (in the Netherlands, Nexus 7 running PA 1.99 shipped from the USA and an HTC One X running CM10). I have used the credit before to purchase an app, so it's a recent change. Uninstalling updates to Google Play and clearing data has no effect. Orbot returns an error when trying to start transparent proxying, no luck using that either.
Purchasing apps using a credit card is working just fine.
EDIT: Got Orbot to work by using the default iptables, but no luck. Play credit is still greyed out.
Hi,
I am from India, and i got the 25$ credit by entering actual CC info and some random US zipcode and phone. Now when i try to buy an app using the credit i am getting the same greyed out(RBC) error. Any solutions?

How could google take away the credit from us? It's like they gave us something and now they want it back. What about those who had already spent the $25 earlier on. It's unfair.
i'd spent £0.60 two weeks ago and mine still available. if it makes any difference bought and used in the UK.

Same problem here. I dont think it is related to location.
I was in the US last week. Bought the Nexus 7 and activated to get $25 credit. However, whatever I tried to purchase, it would not let me use the credit. I tried different apps, books, movie and music.
However, have come back to Japan now. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Google Play store -Nexus purchase

I'll keep this really short

"Sorry! Devices on Google Play is not available in your country yet.
We're working to bring devices to more countries as quickly as possible.
Please check back again soon."
As expected since im from India
The Nexus 4 has launched and will bew going on sale for $350 for the Unlocked 16GB version of the phone
What i intend on doing is order the phone off the Play Store for my Dad who is based in US so that he can then ship it to India
He is always busy at work so is there any work around on how i can make that link useable in India to the order it
Proxy maybe ?
Oh and payment for Device can be done without a Paypal ? As my dad should have a Credit card
Thanks for the help
I was thinking of using a Proxy, but is it safe for shopping ??
Oh and can someone please explain to me the means to order it, Credit card/google wallet/ payapal ?
I wouldn't order some anything with a credit card over a proxy, they're insecure.
Sorry, there really is no other way. Until and unless Google opens up the Play store and sells the Nexus in India, you cannot go through the checkout process from India. The billing and shipping address are required to be the same, in which case it needs to be based in the US.
Damn :/
Thing is i only need to do the browsing
AS iwill be using my dads credit card or any other means of payment
All i need to know is payment options
Thanks
Just have your dad set up teamviewer and send you his passcode ( 1 minute of less ).
Then when he is away from the pc for more than 5 minutes you can browse google play website and order using your dad pc through your pc with the help of teamviewer.
Ohk so you want your dad to send it to you.
What you can do is give him this link http://www.google.com/nexus/4/
and tell him to press "SHOP NOW"
hope that solved your problem
ill do the team view thing
Will a VISA Credit/ Debit card work ? Or do i need google wallet ?
Credit card must work.
Your are going to use a USA card.
The card's location of issue must be the same as the addressing location. Not sure how exactly it works or if there are any work arounds.
Use Google.com
The specs are amazing and i just love Android.Unfortunately for reasons unknown Google is not so keen on launching their Nexus phones in India . It was true for the Galaxy Nexus and i don't think that Google has any plans of launching this one in India. My brother who stays in US will be coming home for Christmas and i will ask him to get the 16 GB version which will cost just 18,500 INR (approx)...... that's almost the price i had paid to get my Motorola Defy a year ago .Are there any limitations of using this phone in India...i read somewhere that the phone will have a built in battery ? is that true ? If yes....is it possible to change the battery if i have any issues with the existing one or once the stock battery dies out.
Regardless of area availability, you linked to a discontinued product . They aren't selling the 8GB version anywhere anymore

You are totally wrong. LG has an official statement released that they will be very much launching a NX4 in India. Heck even Google said it is coming to 200 countries. So no way they have missed India.
I too am from India and am desperately waiting for it to show up on the Play Store.
It will only be available from Google in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia.
All other places will have to buy it through local retailers/phone providers, where it will probably be significantly more expensive.

Buying Nexus 4 from Play Store in a not-enabled country

Hi everybody
As we know, the new Nexus 4 will be available on Play Store only in: U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada.
It also seems almost sure that in all the other countries It will cost much more, for example while in France It will cost 350€ (on Play Store), in Italy It will probably cost 549€!
I'm from Italy, and obviously I don't wanna pay 549€ if I could spend less!
So, how could we get it from abroad?
The main issue is that Play Store only ships in the state where they sell the phone, so I can't directly go on Play Store UK and buy it.
To solve this problem I thought to use a service like forward2me which gives you an UK address to be able to buy the phone, and then they ship the phone to you. The cost is about 32€ for Italy, and 382€ is still a great price for me
There's also USABox, which does the same, but from U.S.
Another problem is that you can't even visit another Play Store if you're not in that state, to solve this we could use Ultrasurf, which is a free proxy-based tool that allow us to vist other Play Store(s).
The last problem is: some people told me that they only accept credit cards that come from that country, so If I would buy It from UK, I'd need a UK credit card. Is this true? And If yes, do you know any possible way to bypass this problem?
Thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
i want this phone so bad, damn google play store
Maybe try to access in Play Store France with Proxy or VPN. (I don't know really). Search on Google
But, i think Order will be available in others countries later.
You didn't even read my thread, did you?
Yes, you can access differnet country's play store thru VPN. Not sure how to buy though.

In order to buy from the UK Play Store you need an UK credit card. Just the shipping address isn't enough. And this is not bypassable, sorry.
I'm Italian too, I hate this damned country! We can't buy from Playstore through proxy because it need you have a credit card in the country you are buying..
1) A supported country credit card is needed
2) a Proxy is not a good idea, as sensitive data is transmitted through it for someone to see
3) The actual product may be delivered to the proxies address

Seems a lot of people are missing the OP's point. He is saying that you need an UK issued credit or debit card.
And to solve this problem for the OP, here in the UK we have what is called a "pre-pay credit card". If you can get someone to get you one in the UK (they sell them at post offices etc) then you should be able to complete the purchase on Google Play UK. But then again if can manage to find someone you are willing to trust £279 you might as well ask them to buy it for you and send it to you in Italy.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I am also in the same situation like you. I live in The Netherlands and no chance to buy it from Google Store.
I am also curious if you can pay it with a credit card from another country. I know some people in Germany where the phone could be delivered and I could pick it up but the main question is about the payment method.
Do you trust services like forward2me? They are reliable? I never heard of them.
I hope somebody could give us more informations and we could get our devices as soon as possible. I can't wait to have it!
My plan:
Use a proxy from the states and hoping that Citibank Credit card, even issued in y country is not a problem, (I can use it to buy from PlayStore when I am connected through a VPN).
Backup Plan:
Shipito offers "Assisted Purchase". I let them buy for me, even it's 17 USD more, and then ship to here.
Plan C:
Order it from Amazon when available
Plan D:
Wait until it available in my country (that's the final plan)
I bought apps from Play Store in The Netherlands using a foreign credit card and it worked without problems. I didn't had to use any proxy or VPN. I am still not sure if it will work with devices. It's really frustrating that Google doesn't extend their play store services.

I think you need to BUY it from amazon or whatever. I don't think It's possible buying it from another countrys Play Store since you probably need a U.S or U.K creditcard depending on where you want to buy it from. My advice is to wait til the price drops or just buy it from another country (not via Play Store). this seems very easily thought of but yeah I think this is the only solution. I myself am currently waiting for the Netherlands release, my predictions are that the phone will be sold unlocked for 350eu if not more. If you really want to buy it from Play Store than I don't really know what you'll have to do but good luck.

£30 Tablet Cashback For LTE Model

Hi
I have the LTE model. I am supposed to be able to get £30 cashback on the tablet in the UK at sony.co.uk/tabletcashback This website asks for an IDID number, my device has an IMEI number not an IDID number since it is the LTE model. Sony's website will not accept an IMEI number.
Has anyone else with the Z3 Tablet LTE model in the UK managed to claim the £30 cashback?
Nigel
I can't claim till the 15th Dec but glad you bought this up I haven't checked it yet hope it works.
I can't seem to get it to work full stop keeps saying idid number not recognised. I contacted sony and they just asked me to try different browser.
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Free mobile app
I believe that sonys website is broken. The 621GB/B is the LTE specific model? Selecting this in the drop down should mean that the websitr asks for the IMEI rather than the IDID. I contacted them on the phone, but they did not want to know. I fear we wont be able to claim until/unless they fix the website. Maybe if someone else contacts them by phone as well things will be done?
Lucky you guys.. here in the UAE, the Z3 Tablet Compact is supposed to come with a complimentary case with the purchase which they couldn't give me because they have none. Fart faces.
Just a thought you guys have waited 21 days from purchasing the device? as they wont accept the claim unless its been 21 days maybe this is the problem.

The web shop was netonnet but the deal was only valid for preorders. I ordered mine end of October.
The package is still available but the price is much higher now:

That's still not a bad price at all compared to Dubai. For that same price I got the LTE version of the tablet + a complimentary case which I did not receive sadly.
Any fix to this problem yet can't enter imei number for cashback.
I have now emailed Sony about this cashback problem for models of SGP621 not having a imei box to select let's see what happens.

I have also emailed Sony since my IDID is invalid for my 32GB Wifi - they basically state that the tablet offer has nothing to do with them in the UK and that contact should be made with Sony Europe (who are based in the UK) by telephone on 0207 365 2810.
The support is awful. As a group of companies it is Sony's offer and they should make internal communication to support their external users - not just fob them off with telephone numbers and shirk responsibility.

Any luck?
I have the same problem "This IDID number is invalid" and bought the Z3 tablet from Currys.
Perhaps they been overwhelmed by sales and caught unprepared to handle the cashback requests?!
Anyhow that's bad for Sony, even more CS are useless .... maybe some Facebook capaign will get the wheels turning?!

I bought the Z3 Tablet from PC World and have the invalid IDID number problem.
Just wanted to ask if you managed to get the cashback?
Also, I called customer service and they said that the IDID number isn't valid for the cashback when PC World clearly has this on their website. They told me to go to PC World and fix this problem.
Very dissapointed in Sony, was thinking of getting another Sony product but now I dont think so.
