If anyone needs help with this new update and rooting and 2nd bootloader stuff still, this is how I did it:
Use kindle fire first aide (available here on xda) to reset your device to stock Amazon 7.2.3. Obviously backup whatever you don't want to lose first with your preferred backup method. Make sure to also disable ota updates also before you proceed.
Once you're back to (pre rooted!) Stock, sideload the fireflash.apk (do a search on xda to find the app) use the directions on that thread to get yourself setup with a 2nd bootloader and twrp recovery in like two clicks of an app. If you can't find the thread, just let me know and I'll provide links. Just MAKE SURE you flash the 7.2.3 bootloader
That fireflash comes with before you flash the new boot.img and twrp recovery. It's such an easy method, and you can find all the tools you need via searching xda for fire flash, followed by hashcode's 2nd bootloader thread. 7.3.0 freedom boot (nevermind that your bootloader won't match, it should be 7.2.3 and freedom boot should be 7.3.0, and twrp 2.4.4.0. Make sure all your boxes are checked, flash the files AFTER YOU FLASH THE 7.2.3 BOOTLOADER!! And you should be all set. From there you can even flash newer Amazon updates if you like via twrp. feel free to contact me with any questions, and major shout outs to the devs who made these apps and programs available to us.
P.S make sure you read the instructions for fireflash.apk on its page so you're familiar. This way always works for me to get around anything Amazon, but you do of course run risks when altering stock software. I highly recommend buying a fast-boot(factory) cable just to make sure you can always restore stock using KFFA if something goes wrong. I got mine from xda member SkOrPn, and I fully suggest if you don't own one get one first. Better safe than stuck waiting 3 days on a cable to save you!
Sent from my cm10.1 KFHD

see my previous post
Here are all the files.actually steps: KFFA to revert to 7.2.3, sideload fireflash and get it opened. You will see a red warning message that you have the wrong bootloader. Flash the one they offer. Reboot kindle (I do, May not be necessary). Load the other files onto your kindle, freedom boot and twrp. Open fireflash again, and match up boot.img and twrp where they obviously go in fireflash, flash the files, and boot into recovery :good: good luck! Hope this helps anyone in that boat

Whenever I attempt to restore the update to a previous version in KFFAide the command window stays at "daemon started successfully" and does not progress beyond that point. Any advice? This happens for any option I choose in KFFAide.

I actually have not tried updating KFFA since I installed it originally, so I can't say what the problem might be. I suggest posting on the first aide thread with your question, and looking for similar posts with solutions over there. The community on here is wonderful, and I'm sure you can find a fix on there it you try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096888
I hope you find the answers you seek

Have you tried fire first aide to root that's what I use and it works
 @spoken S3

Can anyone send me a link to the latest binary? Much obliged.

Was it a mistake in buying a xoom wifi

Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Don't know how that's possible. Perhaps you can find an APK of the market through the web browser and it will install...
Yes it was a mistake.

I knew it was a mistake
But I would like to keep it... it also won't download... I bought it used... do you guys think it was rooted once with an unlock bootloader?... would this happen if someone try to get it back stock to resell??? I don't know...
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Is it the stock rom? Check under the about tablet. If it has root then You might need to download the g apps zip from here then install that through CWM. If not you can just search for the APK and get it online somewhere.

No mistake. It's a great tab. If used, read up and return it to stock condition. Or load a ROM from the dev section. You'll get the market back.
Thanks... that's what I was planning.. get a custom rom, I for sure know this will fix it... I'm confuse on how to set up my laptop with sdk.... I seen instructions that are pretty straight forward... but afraid I might mess up my laptop or the tablet
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I hardly think it's a mistake just because you have to do a little work. Just means you'll like it more later on.
I don't think the tab is rooted... there's no superuser... plus the recovery has these options only... reboot, update from USB, factory reset, clear cache... something like that... just confuse on my after factory reset in recovery I still don't have market... ill upload a picture of all the app that's preinstall after factory reset in recovery...
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
http://db.tt/t46MAl12 I could upload pic so its in the link
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I think the first thing you should do is a factory reset. If that doesn't get your Market back then flash the stock images from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049485
After you get the stock images on there then you can think about rooting and custom ROMs if you want to but if stock does what you want then just stick there at the moment.
Thanks, I'm not familiar with sdk adb and all the command thing in second post in the link you provide burd... but give me 24hrs to figure this... I might need help later...
I am attempting to set up my computer... will post my update soon

Here is a guide I used when I wanted to flash the US images on my UK Xoom. The guide will also get you to root but you don't have to go that far if you don't want to.
Now, the commands will all be the same but the guide may be a bit out of date with image names and such as it's from February. Make sure you read everything and if you are planning to root/flash custom ROMs DO NOT relock your bootloader.
Edit: changed guide URL to newer one provided by okantomi

can't install FLASH on 4.1.1 ?

Just bought our 2 nexus 7 tablets today....We want to root them but haven't yet. I was trying to update the FLASH to the latest as one of my websites and one game wanted me to do that. I was taken to the google paly and there was a message that the lastest FLASH can NOT be installed on this device and I read that it is NOT support for OS over Ice Cream 4.0? Can some one tell me what I can do? Do I have to root to do this?

Any suggestions on what I have to do...my nexus 7 is now updated to 4.1.2

Download this on your nexus 7:
http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
Download to pc:
http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-grouper.img
If bootloader is locked then:
Power of nexus 7, hold power and volume down till you see the menu then let go.
In cmd or Linux terminal "fastboot oem unlock"
Confirm on screen. It erases all data.
(Note you can make an adb backup first, can't remember offhand the command, search "adb backup" )
Flash cwm "fastboot flash recovery clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-grouper.img" now boot into recovery either " adb reboot recovery" or in the fastboot menu.
Then flash Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip in cwm, and you're rooted.
I recommend switching to superSU now from Play.

That's the new Kindle Fire HD 2013 right?
If so as with most if not all Kindle Fire's you can download the .bin update file relevant to your device & extract it with 7-Zip etc. to get any file you need.
This is the latest software update .bin file for the KFHD 2013:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/kindle-fire-updates/update-kindle-11.3.1.0_user_310084920.bin
It is a 700MB+ download so not ideal if your just looking for one file etc.
right on the money

Yep, downloading the .bin file and renaming it to "whateverthenameis.zip" is handy for getting files you need. You can also pre-root the ROM and flash it, once there's an unlocked boot loader and custom recovery.
