[Q] With light flow enabled phone talk - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I have activated the accessibility light flow only now luancher or in part in the gallery the voice that tells me what I'm doing and obviously do not want it, I solved by checking on off sounds in Accesibility only so that also s-voice no longer speaks and what I was comfortable then there is a way that you do not speak when he pleases but the voice features to work?
Thanks for the help

Install light manager from the playstore. It has the same function al light flow but it doesnt need to be enabled jn the accessibility settings.

The problem is I bought the light flow and everything set up so I did not take it off

I'm sorry to hear that. But it is a known issue with the Accessibility settings. Maybe this will be fixed in an official update.

So for now there is no solution

Yes there is a solution! Install some 3rd party TTS engine from playstore (e.g.: Classic TTS) and set it as default and that's it No more TalkBack

Just tried your suggestion but this fixes not all problems. If you view a picture in the gallery in the landscape mode the blue bar on the top will not disappear. So for now there isnt a 100% solution

I think I had the same problem but after some time it just vanished

The new version of light manager (paid) has a root option the has a Samsung root option in it that does not require activating the accessibility option. It worked for me.

Yes this works. But the question was if the galaxy s4 can handle Light Flow. I'm also using light manager and it works great

Guys I've got good news.
After flashing the new official MEA firmware the problem gets fixed !
Now you can use LightFlow :good:

[Q] Internet Sound

I can't find out where to get rid of the internet talking and sound. The default browser reads the text and my input. Any other browser I use I don't have this issue. Is there any way I can change the default browser? I took it to AT&T and they could not turn the sound off on the browser. And I don't want to toggle the system sound on and off all the time... Thanks for any help. Gale Galaxy S4
Sounds like an accessibility feature

I went through all features in accessibility and nothing worked. Still have voice on default browser. It is really a pain to have a voice when your trying to browse.

Not sure how yours is set up but try turning accessibility or any apps using it off. I got the same thing when I enabled NoLED under accessibility. Once I turned it off, gallery and Internet went back to normal.

Yeah apparently if you use something like LightFlow it will cause this problem also.

TTS speech / weather

When I tap on the weather widget it takes me to the stock browser page it speaks and says page is loading . How do I turn it off. I went to the settings and TTS isn't turned on. I am not rooted yet.

You probably turned something on in accessibility. this happened to me when I turned on Google voice for dash clock just turn off whatever you turned on and it will fix itself it is a talk back bug. I even rooted removed talk back and it still happened
I downloaded a app called led blinker pro. I removed the app . And that's what was causing the problem. Thanks

S-voice does not open in listening mode

When I say "Hi Galaxy" with the screen off, S-Voice opens, but does not listen until I say the phrase a second time. Has anyone else encountered this? I am rooted, with Xposed installed.
Edit:
I'd really like to get to the bottom of this issue, if someone with some experience could give me some feedback. I believe I first attempted to use S-Voice after rooting with root de la vega. It has never opened in listening mode (launched from app drawer or with the screen off feature), even after upgrading to MJ7 (kept root with survival mode in SuperSU), or flashing Beans Rom in SafeStrap. This has led me to believe this is a hardware or kernel issue, but I'm not the most knowledgeable person about these things. Therefore, any feedback would be much appreciated! TIA
Thank you for your feedback

Update: From what I've seen, when I open S-Voice from the app drawer, it should open in listening mode. Anyone have an idea why mine does not?

Update 2: I now use Tasker to close S-Voice when it opens, and start Google Voice Search! Doesn't listen as quickly as the Moto X, takes about 3 seconds, but no complaints here!

I am also having the issue. When I say "Hi Galaxy" or when I just open S Voice it does not open in listen mode. Any ideas?
Same issue here, no luck with clearing data or cash for the app. I'd be fine with the Tasker to Google Search deal but I was having fun with the turning on/off bluetooth and wifi using voice and a few other features S-Voice has, despite being not as reliable. I just went ahead and installed utter to be able to get the functionality of both, but I can't say my battery life is all that great with so many different things going on at once now.

You might not want to close S-voice, but rather just open Google now on top of it. If you close it, I don't think the screen-off "Hi galaxy" command will work next time around.
I have the same issue... Then I realized something. I have Pebble app for my SmartWatch. I disabled the accessibility service for pebble and it works now. So is it pebble or s voice?

Can you share that tasker profile please. I can't use that damn app to save my life. I started using automateit pro because it dumbs it down but that app won't open voice search only the regular Google app.

Create a profile, select application, select S-voice, delect new task, new task, name it .. In the task edit screen, create action, app, load app, and select Voice Search, and don't make any changes in the action edit screen.. make sure it's active on the profile tab, and try it out.. xda has a great tasker tutorial on youtube! Check it out!

I was worried about that when I created that task.. Tasker could not seem to close S-voice so it didn't effect me. When I realized it wasn't closing, I removed that action. I am interested in how the note 3s always listening feature differs from Motos 8x technology. And if Utter! has the potential of being this energy efficient?

[Q] Textra issue

I know many people use textra instead of the stock messaging app, but I keep running into one issue. Whenever I get a notification through textra, I can't seem to open up the text from the pulldown menu in the lockscreen. I can see the text is there but there is no way to go to the application unless I unlock the screen and go to textra instead of just clicking on the notification in the pulldown menu. Is anyone else running into this issue at all? Or have a fix?
I'm running into it with Handcent also

If you are rooted, use Knox security Disabler. Should solve your problem.

I am rooted actually. Is that an app? Or would I have to freeze something with Titanium?

Thank you!
EDIT:
This did not fix the issue for me, I don't know what it is about textra... hmmm
Are you using multi window Manager? There were some reported issues with this. The Multi Window manager app in the appstore that works along with xposed says there was an update to fix issues with s Health and textra. Dont use textra myself tho so I cant confirm

[q] Old notifications from same app deleted in Android N

Hello, I'm in stock unrooted Android n preview 3. It appears that notifications that come from the same app, when I have left another notifications sitting there, will be overridden and disappear.
This is a big problem for me, as I use cloudmagic to track multiple tasks that pop up for me, and I let them sit there. Sometimes I'll have 10 notifications at once that I need to get to. Is there a way to override this behavior that I missing? Sorry if this is already been answered, I did do a search and was unable to come up with any results
Thank you in advance for your help.

I haven't tried N, so unfamiliar on how the notifications display but the best bet would be to contact the app developer and explain.
AFAIK or understand by a quick search, the behavior is controlled by the app calling the same tag/id with different notification parameters which will overwrite the previous one.
Also have you tried any of the notification managers on play? Could be an easy work around or easier to manage.

I did contact the app developer and explained exactly what you said previously. They are blaming it on N. I told them they need a unique intent for each call. They didn't respond.
Can't use a third party notification manager because of special features within the cloud magic reminders
