List of Bluetooth compatible mouse / keyboard - Ouya General

Since there is so much confusion about this argument, I decided to start a thread about it.
Please post only native Bluetooth mouse and keyboard working with ouya without need of external receiver.
So far for me I got a mini bt keyboard to work (will update with model name shortly), and no luck with apple Magic Mouse. Please post your experience!

Another useful info would be posting if these keyboard/mice (specially mice) that work can use its scroll wheels and/or touch capabilities (if any).

I had no problems whatsoever with my hp touchpads bluetooth keyboard paring and using a microsoft mouse and dongle. No setup at all for the mouse when using the usb dongle, the touchpad keyboard was easily paired like any bt device.

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 - pairs, works no problem, speed and scrolling all fine.
Leicke Sharon Aluminium Keyboard for Samsung Smartphones & Tablets - pairs but doesn't work, connection is constantly lost leading do buffering of the input and autorepeat.

My wireless Logitech MK710 set works just fine with CM10.

I was able to plug in my Logitech Mx revolution wireless keyboard pc and mouse dongle. It picked it up and works with clockworkmod. so not even a need to buy a Bluetooth keyboard. I have several though.

The Motorola bt keyboard and mouse for tablets works great. Had them for a year or more already.

As cheap as it is this keyboard/mouse combo has worked for me. It's a little bit of a pain to get the mouse to pair correctly but it worked eventually.

I've been using the PS3 KeyPad with no issues. I recommend this Bluetooth keyboard because it sits nicely over the face of the PS3 controller and looks really sleek!

I've Googled around on how to get the PS3 Keypad to work and I haven't been able to find anything except how to connect the PS3 controller. I've tried pairing the Keypad the same as the controller and it did not work. Do you have a link on where it explains how to pair the PS3 Keypad? Your help would be greatly appreciated

Apple magic mouse, keyboard, and trackpad all work for me, simultaneously. has anyone noticed, though, that reception is horrible? especially outside of 5 feet?

[Q] Bluetooth drivers for Keyboard??

Hi all, does anybody know if the tab has bluetooth HID (human interface device) drivers to run extenal keyboards??? Anyone tried, and if yes wich keyboards are working?? I like the upcoming Samsung keyboard, but don't think it is very portable especially if traveling, so I thought I would like to buy one of those folding keyboards, but don't want to through away my money...
Thanks
Just tried a Logitech DiNovo Mini and it works perfectly. You even get a mouse pointer on your Tab, that you can move around with the touchpad.

Bluetooth Mouse?

Can I use a Bluetooth mouse for my EEE Pad Transformer?
If so, any suggestions as to which one to get?
Thanks!!
Oh and one other question.. with the dock can you use a wireless mouse (i.e. plugin the dongle into the dock usb port)?
Yes you can. I've been using my Microsoft mini notebook mouse which is just straight bluetooth (doesn't even come with a dongle) - worked absolutely fine right off the bat.
My only issue is that the moment is a bit slow for my liking, and there's no setting to change the cursor movement speed.
Apple Magic Mouse should work fine..
If you want a cheap option and have a Fry's nearby I've found that this Inland bluetooth travel mouse works great with the Asus Transformer. The catch being that it didn't work a bit prior to the 3.1 OTA upgrade but after that it's been working great. It's a nice portable size and pretty adequate for as much as I use it.

I bought cheapest bluetooth mouse out there (the producer is Manta or sth like that) and it work fine, very fine.
I am using my Logitech mini mouse from my Laptop and pluged into the USB it works fine.. I am thinking that a Bluetooth mouse would be kinda nice though..

Has anyone managed to get a bluetooth mouse to work just with the pad,i.e no dock involved at all? I ask as I have a very fancy ms bluetooth mouse but my TF wont see it as it hasn't got the drivers which are added to my laptop which , obviously, are designed for windows and not android..not sure how to get around this issue short of buying the dock and just plugging into the usb with a cheapo corded mouse which kinda defeats the object of what I'd like to do

I'm using the least expensive one I could find, a Gigabyte I got from Newegg. Turns out it's nicer than any other bluetooth I've tried. I got it to use with the pad and it pairs and works fine with or without the dock connected.
There are no drivers for android for any mouse, so as far as I know there's no way to map the buttons. There is however a setup section for the mouse where you can adjust the cursor speed.
edited to add: doh! - I just noticed how old this thread is. I had done a search and this was near the top. I guess I forgot where I was.

Can anyone recommend a bluetooth mouse that will work with the Acer A501???

I am looking for a bluetooth mouse that will work with the iconia a501. Anyone have one to recommend? Will any bluetooth mouse work?
Thanks,
Kevin
I already had a Microsoft 5000 mouse... had to pair it a couple of times before it would work, kept saying paired but not connected. About the third try it worked, I knew it should as there was a video on youtube showing that exact mouse working...
No idea if all nice work.
Blue tooth mouse
The Microsoft 5000 is the only mouse I could get to work on my A500.
So how did you get the Microsoft 5000 mouse to connect? I just received mine, it will pair, but never connect???
Thanks,
Kevin
Logitech Anywhere MX is running without problems.
Yeah, my Logitech Anywhere MX works fine too but, it's not bluetooth. Have to use the USB dongle. Clearly a full bluetooth one is best.
I've also gotten an older Logitech USB cordless mouse (which is being replaced by the Anywhere MX) also worked as well as a generic Dell USB keyboard.
Only problem I have is that the cursor on the screen is very difficult to see if your background is dark like mine is. The cursor is black surrounded by a thin blue outline and I can hardly see it.
I still can not get the mouse to connect. It is paired, but not connected. Is there anything else I need to do to get this thing to work?? Anyone???
Thanks,
Kevin
Most any BT mouse should work. I paired a cheapo Bluetooth mouse I bought off ebay and a Razer Orichi.
I have a Microsoft 5000 and it pairs and connects perfectly without any kind of trickery. Maybe your ROM is just picky? Which version of Honeycomb are you running? Official mouse support didn't come until 3.1 (there was a custom script for USB mice in 3.0 however)

Mine is running stock rom, only rooted. It is 3.01. Is there a way to get the mouse to work with it?

Logitech V470 works like a charm. Found and paired at the first try.
my Logitech MC Revolution 5500 KB/Mouse are connecting nicely. but not sure how many people actually wanna spend that much on a set. (159.99 usd)
I'm running kekinash's custom ROM and I use Apple's Magic Mouse (don't ask, long story).

I have the Logitech bluetooth keyboard for PS3 with the integrated touchpad and it pairs up and works just fine. Too bad the keyboad is bigger tha the a500! I'm running Taboonay rom.
My a4tech g7 - 540 works fine, but it's too big to be portable.

I have this www.amazon.com/dp/B00325ME7W works great, with the included dongle. which is tiny.

Have you tried a Bluetooth Mouse? You should!

Just for curiosity I connected my bluetooth mouse to my Tab (P6810)... and not expecting much, a little blue pointer popped up in the screen, that was amazing, I didn't really expected that! It's extremely useful when you are using text editors, word processors...etc.
It's not perfect anyway, the wheel doesn't work, but you can click (hold) and move up and down in a document for example, you can double click words to select them, you can click (hold) and move the mouse to change to your left/right home screen, it's fast and very responsive!
Another thing that doesn't work is the right click which is ok because there's not such a thing on android anyway....
I don't think everybody knows about this, try it and share your thoughts!
I'm using a Logitech BT mouse V470 which is the best I've ever seen out there.

I'm currently using a Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse, which works pretty well for me. The trackball includes both vertical and horizontal scrolling. Does the V470 do horizontal scrolling as well? What's the difference between the V470 and the Logitech Tablet Mouse?
I have a Kensington slim blade mouse with its own dongle. I plugged the dongle into the usb OTG connection but it isn't working - do you have the type without dongle?

Correct. Mine is Bluetooth, so no dongle.
My logitech USB mouse with the dongle works just fine with my tab, using the USB connector to the tab. It worked on my S2, so I would have guessed it would work on my 7.7.

The Logitech I have is an older MX mouse

got it ages ago for my laptop so 3 years ago.
Samsung should disable USB support for mice just on principle. Bluetooth or GTFO. Having a wired mouse to the 7.7 just looks so...uncivilized.
Okay, my bluetooth mouse with dongle does work! I think my mouse was in pointer mode on my earlier attempt.

Wait a second... You have a Bluetooth mouse, and your 7.7 has Bluetooth built-in, and you're using an external dongle instead... WTF!? Why!?

Well, because then you have to have a big ugly dongle and USB adapter sticking out of the tab when you could just use the native Bluetooth support instead. It's...displeasing to the eye.
Anyway, the occasions where I bother at all with a mouse for any phone/tablet I use my trusty Microsoft 5000.

Attitude is just a part of who I am. I am not ashamed of that. Some people might not like it, others don't mind. Frankly, I don't really care either way. Having said that, I generally do my best to tell things as they are and offer my most accurate, honest, and unfiltered opinions, expertise, and reviews. Take that for what it's worth.
Moving along, and speaking of telling it like it is, if your mouse requires a proprietary dongle just for it to work at all, then it's not likely to be Bluetooth (just wireless). See, one of the most important points of Bluetooth, being that is is an open standard and not proprietary, is that anyone can use it. Thus, this eliminates the need for the ugly, cancerous, protrusions known as "dongles."
So, either your mouse isn't in fact Bluetooth (in which case, what are you doing posting in a thread specifically about Bluetooth mice?), -or- your mouse is Bluetooth (in which case, I would like reference my previous statement when I say WTF!? WHY!? Why would you totally defeat the purpose of Bluetooth by using a redundant, ugly, external adapter as opposed to the internal and integrated one already in the 7.7?)
Logitech dinovo mini works fine, I can even wake up the tab from sleep! Thanks for the idea!

i dont travel with laptops anymore, since i just need my email and some MS Office stuff.
i connect the BT mouse, and keyboard when needed and works like a charm!
It looks cool as well, at least in my opinion....

Logitech TV730 Mini Keyboard works with FireTV!

Mouse mode too!
This is awesome! I had read that the FireTV worked with some Logitech keyboards. I had a Logitech mini keyboard that I originally bought to use with my Logitech Revue. The mini keyboard is really sweet with a small touch pad that works in mouse mode. The post stating that a Logitech diNovo keyboard worked said that the mouse didn't. This initially lead me to believe that my mini keyboard was the one referred to here, but I now think not.
Anyhow, I tried and tried to get it paired via BT. I even side-loaded the standard Settings app and tried pairing it that way, but no dice. Tonight, I wondered if I could get it to work with my Mac. It came with a "Unifying" dongle that I had tried plugging into the FireTV with no success. I downloaded the Unifying software for my Mac and plugged the dongle in. It mentioned something about pairing (don't remember what exactly), so I paired my mini keyboard and was happy to see both the keyboard and mouse portion working just fine. Then I wondered to myself "Gee… I wonder if it’s linked to this dongle now, and will it work if I plug it into my FireTV"... So, I moved the dongle to my FireTV and was shocked! Right away, the arrows worked, and when I put it in mouse mode and touched the pad, I had a circle on the screen following my finger movement! And the Home button on it takes you back to the Home screen, like it was made for FireTV!
This really opens up using the many apps out there that are written with only for touch interfaces! I was able to navigate Xfinity TV Go from across the room using only this mini keyboard... At the moment, you can still get these through Amazon for $49.99 (though I'm new here and can't link to it - Search for "Logitech Mini Controller for Logitech Revue and Google TV" if you want one).

how does the keyboard function within xbmc?
I use a logitech k360 wireless keyboard with my ftv and it works great, also flawless with xbmc.
I'm not a big XBMC user, but it has worked fine when I've used it. Played a show on it last night and when I hit the button marked with the stop icon, (when the menu was overlaid on the video), and the video stopped...
So far, I've mostly used it for apps that are built for touch screen (like Xfinity's TV app).
I just started using the K400R. So far everything seems to be great. I have not tried the multimedia keys yet though. The mouse/touchpad works great as well.

I've the same MK360 combo but am unable to get a USB connection since the FTC OS was changed a few weeks ago. Are you still getting a connection? I'm not sure what really changed from limited connectivity to zero. Thanks for ideas ....
I know your post is 3 years old, but I'm wondering if you were able to "click" using the trackpad or mouse key on the TV730 with your Mac. I can pair mine, and typing as well as some other keys work, but I'm not able to click to choose anything.
